I like Blink b/c it's close to me, if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't waste my time fr. They don't have 2.5lb plates. They have ONE complete set of 12.5 dumbbells. One seems to just be missing just like the other 7.5 dumbbell that has just up & walked out. They actually need more sets of the lower weighted dumbbells period. They need a water dispenser for water bottles, not just a water fountain. & another leg press machine would be nice. read more

If you want to be subjected to constant misogynistic comments and unsolicited advice, then this is the place for you. I come here on my days off since this location is closer to me and sometimes I don't feel like making the trip to Riverdale. I usually go late mornings/noon and haven't had any issues but early mornings are pretty tough. The guys that work out here are super macho and annoying. They'll be creepy and leer and you while you're working out. Today, I was doing my workout and some guy slapped my back saying "you can do it!" In Spanish. Excuse me??? The staff is here is nice but I feel like they should make more rounds to ensure that the patrons aren't out of line. The desk is on the downstairs floor so they stay there mainly. As a woman, I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable at the gym. The gym is kept clean except that sometimes there's a weird smell is some areas. read more

So far so good. I've been to a few other gyms in the area and this place isn't that different. They have all new equipment, for now. It won't take long for gym newbies or over zealous "enthusiasts" to destroy the equipment. On the opening day, people are working out with jeans. Seriously? And talking on the phone when the rules clearly say no cellphones. Maybe they need to translate them into Spanish- the locals can be a little unruly. Most people aren't even working out but lost in the wide screen HDTVs. This place is essentially 2 floors with the locker rooms on the entry level. No dressing rooms, so be prepared to show your goodies. No vanity area for hair drying. Just the mirrors at the sink. With high Spanish speaking population, English only speakers be prepared for the discrimination. I plan to update this review in a few months. read more

For $20 a month I get my money's worth and then some. It's got pretty much all the equipment I need, and I go early in the day when there are less people. I love that I always see the same crowd, it gives a feeling of belonging to a place. The one thing I don't like is there isn't enough space. There is an area with a rack of barbells and dumbbells and a few benches, but not enough room for me to have space for my workout between me and the next person. I'll probably start taking what I want over to the warm up area. Otherwise, it's clean and I haven't met any of those people who just sit and text on machines. I don't use the shower because I live down the block. It's a really great place so far! read more

I have had the worst experience with this gym! I was matched with a personal trainer. He had no respect for my time or money! Sessions were scheduled at 6:00am and he would not show. Which meant I would have to be up at 5 in the morning so that I could eat and get to the gym on time BEFORE work. This was very disappointing and discouraging. After my complaint was made, it took almost two weeks for Blink to tell me they don't have any trainers available for the times I had scheduled. I only found this out because I had to continue to call until a manager was available. Time is something that is scarce these days. I am a hardworking woman with 2 jobs and a part time student that paid for sessions so that I could have a professional dedicate 30 mins to training me. Not only did the trainer not show up he signed me up for 8 monthly sessions when I agreed to begin with ONLY 8 sessions. This is a total scam! So for three months blink was charging me for sessions they could not comply with! This gym is a waste of time and moneey!! read more

Until they open the Blink gym on 213th & white plains road I will be dissatisfied coming here. Locker issues in men's locker room so if you leave your valuable items near the showers. It will get broken in to. Use the lockers by the entrance as there is a camera by the entrance. Can't enjoy the workouts due to musleheads hogging the machines I want to use and chicks sitting on the seated leg press machines for a half hour taking selfies for IG and not using the equipment. #beastmode "Are ya finished or are ya done?" Better off showing up as soon the gym opens 5am (7am weekends) it's really the only time I get a good workout in without hoggers there. I've been using Blink Fitness for about 2 years at many different locations (Harlem, 40th and 6th, 116th street and the one near Yankee Stadium) I decided to give this one a try and although it has not been open for long it already looks broken down, like they don't take care of it or the patrons at this particular Blink just don't care. It has a strange setup that is different from most Blinks. It was my first time trying this gym and on my first try, my locker was broken into and money was stolen. I had put a lock on it, so they either clipped or broke the lock and took cash and a metrocard from my wallet. They left all my IDs and everything else. ( I am going to be filing a report with this location). This location makes for an easy escape for thieves because the lockers are located on main entrance while the actual gym is on 2nd floor. Avoid this location or be very very careful with bringing valuables with you. I have learned my lesson and will never return to this location. I like Blink Fitness as a whole, but ghetto people gotta do ghetto sh**, which can ruin the experience that a good business can provide. Go to the one in Yankee Stadium if you can. read more

I wish there was a way to give a company zero stars on Yelp. While the gym is clean and has plenty of equipment, the cancellation policy alone is enough to never sign up for this gym. In the 21st century where nearly everything can be done on a smartphone, Blink requires you to send a letter to their corporate office (which does not provide a phone number). After the letter is received, they say they will cancel your membership after 45 days. For me and many others, they are still attempting to charge me. They are criminals and if you want to avoid getting scammed, do not give them your credit card or sign up for this gym. read more

I went to this location a little bit and I didn't like it so much, the smelled a bit and it gets a bit crowded now and then, unless you decide go to early. For what you pay for, you only get the basics, nothing special, so don't expect any real service. The workers are polite and friendly enough, but it is just a budget gym. I would recommend it, only if you live near the area and need a place to work out. read more

In the beginning things were great, we thought this gym was cool until we started getting unnecessary charge on my bank statements. They start out with the $21.95 then all these other charges come and when you want out of your contract they give you hell and charge you even more. They play like they are other merchants. I put a stop payment on blink and they still got the money by changing the way they bill you. Blink has the right name. They will steal your money in a blink of an eye. Be careful with this gym. I love blink but this on Fordham Road and Gran concourse exactly on 184 needs to train their employees on better customers services. People come to gym to enjoy and to release stress. These employees most of them specially the youngest one are mean and cold. They make customers feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I use it because is convenience and accessible to my where I live but dammm. They have bad manners and again customer care is important. read more

Standard twenty dollar a month gym, ample weights (although it seems re-racking is nonexistent), and ample cardio machines. I only visit this Blink location when I have to get my 530am workout in, and at that time it's not too crowded, I can not speak for later on in the day. My biggest complaint about this location is that the area where the free weights and benches are location there is a VERY STRONG odor of DEAD RAT, I hope they fix that soon read more

Joined this gym in January for my New Years resolution and canceled within 2 months. Gym was too messy for me. Members had no ettiquette and seemed that all the male members were interested in was picking up a date instead of working out. The weight room was a cluster-F***'!!! Manager was never there for me to complain too. Rejoined a few days ago and the gym is under new manager named Tabatha and it's very noticeable and refreshing change. Seems that the employees are enforcing appropriate gym ettiquette and the new staff is dedicated to cleaning the gym and making you feel welcomed. Trainers too, are new and very approachable, unlike previously. I can now see myself working out here long term. Thanks Blink for changing this squad to a classy one. I paid the membership cancellation fee $80 dollars a year ago and then 6 months later they came to me charging my account for a monthly fee since it was a year ago and I paid then cash I did not have any receipt with me after a year so no proof, it seems that the agent that took care of my cancellation just did as If I were paying the monthly membership ahead now I have to repaid $80.00 more to make the cancellation again. this gym location really suck, it should not be there any more I don't know how comes this location still remain opened even having so many bad reviews. read more

Really nice installations with organized machines and friendly staff, the reason I don't give the five star review is because rules are not enforced in this place, a lot of hoggers on the machines, people chatting and wasting time, people don't rerack weights, no cameras in locker rooms, and the benches need maintenance, they are dangerously loosen and you can injure yourself easily. I definitely prefer the Blink gyms on 161 or 170 better. This one is way too cramped, the machines look scattered around not organized well. It's always super packed it isn't big enough for the volume of people they get, You're pretty much always waiting for machines. read more

If you love overcrowded gyms, then this is the place to be! If you like doing any exercises that involve using barbells/bench, do not come here. You will be greatly disappointed. If you're a novice that only uses the machines/treadmill then it's tolerable. But this gym is way too small and way too crowded during peak hours for me. This Blink is just nasty and overcrowded, it makes no sense how over crowded one gym can be. I dislike this location with a passion, I actually wish they can rebuild this one. You have no space to yourself, nor you can't enjoy a workout in peace. You will have a fat chick on the phone talking her business, while she is on the treadmill, or people taking pictures or videos. Very clean place, affordable and great staff. Giant TVs you can watch while you workout. Purell wipes nearby to wipe machines before using them. Wished locker room was on second floor instead of main entrance. read more

The staff on Tuesday is rude and can get pretty argumentative and physical with you. I'm member at White Plains, no complains there. I went to see the Bronx site and they wouldn't show me the facility, it was all I wanted. Instead of for courtesy, that I'm a member, allow me to take a peak, to 'upgrade' membership if I liked it there, they refused unless I gave them all my personal info. I'll stay with the White Plains one. The one at White Plains is just a pleasure. The muscle guys are considerate and everybody puts back the weight in their place.
