My mom wanted to see how much they would give for her expensive shoes, she left them overnight and ended up being busy during the week with work. She's a single mom and recently lost my grandma. The store never contacted her telling her when to pick her shoes up. My mom tried to get them back after no contact and they said that their policy states they now own the shoes. I like shopping here but haven't returned in months due to this. I like supporting women owned businesses but this was very distasteful. read more

I always find the coolest most classics pieces when I come here. They always have decent sales and eclectic footwear and costume jewelry. Consistently rotating inventory with everything from vinyl, tapes, artwork, plants and shoes! I love shopping here to support local business. Just don't come in with a coffee in your hand as food and drink are not allowed, rightfully so! They do occasional sidewalk sales with snacks and music and it's always a good time. I'm not sure how I found them on instagram but I'm glad I did... I originally purchased items from their insta post. Fast and easy transactions. Venmo and they shipped items very fast. I did end up purchasing some boots one day and just saw that they had so much great stuff so instead of shipping my items I decided to make the trip out to Willimantic. Which is like a 40 min ride from my home.... It was well worth it. Warm and super genuine friendly staff. They have the place decorated super cute. They have separate areas like; New arrivals, 2 dollar sale room, which is amazing!!!!!! Great quality of clothing all for $2 each!!! Vintage clothes and costumes. Everything is fairly priced. Many items brand new with tags or pre-loved. They also have local artist and their products. Now that covid restrictions are little let up. Not as strict. They are getting back into their pop-up shops. With great deals. And they provide light refreshments. So def follow them on instagram for newest arrivals and pop up shops!!!! What is this little jewel box of a consignment store without a visit from the CT Bargainista herself (that's me)? Open since December 2015, this is the sister store to the Bliss in Willimantic. Cute space, carefully curated collection, very good selection, and found a beautiful Chico's dress perfect for my summer's travel for a great price. The manager was very friendly. I recommend you check this place out. Prices are a bit mid-to-high range for consignment but if you can find a piece or two or three that sparks joy for a lot less than retail, you'll walk a way a winner. read more

Fantastic clothing and organization, and I would say this is my favorite store if it weren't for the service. One of the workers is very rude. Every time I am in the store, she follows me around like I am going to steal something, which I have never done and am a loyal customer. I move around the store to browse, yet somehow she is always within 6 feet of me and invading my personal space. She consistently glares at me, and when I'm browsing clothing racks she often stands right next to me so close that we're touching, and doesn't even ask if I can move or say excuse me. One time, I brought my friends to the store with me to show them around. They were sitting down to put their shoes back on after trying an item on, she reached right over them, and again there was no smile, no "Excuse me!", no "Sorry about that!", and no "Can I get in here really quick?" This is the kind of disrespectful behavior I experience from this woman every time I enter the store. I work in retail and would never use this kind of behavior towards a customer. I have been shopping here for four years, I always buy something, and I have brought more customers to the store, yet all I receive in return is a glare and extremely rude behavior. Other customers I know who frequent the store have said the same thing about this woman. The only reason I return to the store is in hopes someone else is working. Even still, I don't know if I can shop here anymore because I cannot enjoy my shopping experience as this woman always ruins it for me. read more

super cool boutique/thrift. they have a ton of trendy stuff and mostly urban outfitters, anthropologie, and free people. the prices are higher than your typical thrift store, but if you know the brands you're buying, everything is basically half off the retail price! most items are new/new with tags which is awesome for the prices. you wont be disappointed shopping here! lots of unique items that you wouldn't find anywhere else ! read more

I went to donate clothes and they said they would call me back when they were finished categorizing and choosing what everything was worth, so that I could come pick up my unwanted clothes and cash. It turns out I never got a phone call, so I called the store and asked the status of my clothes. They said that they had called and left a voicemail (neither of those things happened) and that now ( 3 weeks after dropping my things off) my unwanted clothes were donated and my cash is now only store credit. Very disappointed. read more

Was very disappointed in our trip to Bliss this past month! Purchased a beautiful shirt that upon trying on at home, was found to have a broken string in the middle of the shirt and one of the tassels fell off immediately after. On one hand, Kim was very kind to allow me to return this item to the store and offer me full store credit for this item, even though the store does not usually accept returns. However, the shirt that I purchased in exchange for the broken shirt was brought home to once again have a huge rip at the seams. My boyfriend tried the shirt on in store, but missed the rip due to the fact that it was on the back. Very disappointed that these damages were not caught by the bliss employees when they put these up to consign! read more

I shop Downtown Storrs occasionally - usually at Barnes & Noble, but I like to peek around the neighborhood. Mostly food stores, but I saw the sign for BLiSS down the street. I knew there was a shop in Willimantic, also, (never been there) and thought maybe they'd moved. Nope, there's just two of them now! Fun! I had an appointment in Storrs on 2/13 and after it was done I found myself with extra time so I thought I'd pop over and see what this place had to offer. I was pleasantly surprised with a 25% off EVERYTHING sale for Valentine's day! YAY. The staff had carefully selected some fun red and pink pieces to highlight at the door. While tempted by one, it was a springy thing and I'm just not feeling the spring vibe yet. I poked around, flipping through racks, just getting a sense of the selection. There was some pretty cool stuff! I found a fab long deco sweater that tempted me, a couple of dresses NEW WITH TAGS! and some cool athletic wear. I have enough jeans, but there was a great rack of designer jeans that I peeked through also. There are a lot of smaller sizes (lucky college kiddos!) but the sizes range all the way up to xxl and there is even a small mens section. The entire back wall has formal wear which was nice to see, even if I don't currently need a prom dress or bridesmaid dress. I spent a pretty penny for a second-hand shop, but this is consignment not thrift! I got a BRAND NEW WITH TAGS Nannett Lapore dream dress that fit me like it was tailored. The retail on it was marked $348! I paid more than you might expect at a thrift store, but again - it's not a "thrift" store like Sally's or Goodwill. It was worth it for sure. I also got lounge pants with tags still on it, a gorgeous tie-dye wrap skirt, and that fab art deco sweater, plus another brand new designer dress with tags still on it. I probably could have shopped all day, but I restrained myself. I neglected to get the name of the young lady running the shop yesterday but she was pleasant and helpful. She gave me the store history and recommended I check out the Willi store because it has some other fab stuff - jewelry and unique vendors - as well as a different collection of consignments.
