The store is larger than the one we customarily visit in Simsbury, so I didn't feel cramped walking around alongside a fair number of fellow shoppers. It's very neat and well organized inside and seemed to have a lot of merchandise. I saw the usual dishes, housewares, women's and men's shoes (including some gorgeous Air Jordans), shirts, blouses, outerwear, pants and jeans, plus sportscoats and men's suits ($25 or so). Some of the more unusual things I saw was an impressive collection of "I Love Lucy" memorabilia, and hiding among the audio CD's was a William Hung CD! He made quite a splash on American Idol 20 years ago, and if you're too young to know who he is, go check him out on YouTube. I bought a long sleeve white dress shirt, a red tie, and my wife bought a long sleeve top. After the 35% discount we paid an obscene $16 for everything. Yes, quite the bargain indeed. PRO TIP Parking is a bit of a toss-up, their lot is micro-sized, so you'll probably end up parking on a side street like we did.

The store has so many cool and interesting little things, like beaded keychains, hair accessories, candles, jewelry, greeting cards and decor. Some of it is vintage and some is locally hand made. The back of the store is the thrift clothing section. Everything looks to be in excellent shape. There's also records, shoes and purses. I saw a Dior coat, and some items by Burberry and by Alexander McQueen. They are selective about their selection of items they accept. There isn't any of that awful stuffy smell. It feels and looks like everything is brand new. It's easy to look and touch things without the fear of everything falling. This store isn't stuffed at all. Lately…read morewhen you go, it seems like they sell things priced the same as stores new, so what's the point of even going to Goodwill now in days? I remember the last Goodwill I went to; they priced over the 1.25 dollar tree price as 2.99 I could not help but laugh out loud at the ridiculousness as I put it right back on the shelf. On this occasion we went looking to see if we could find a costume dress but ended up finding a lot of other things priced reasonably. Walked out with a couple of good finds; would definitely come back to this one.

I recently dropped off five bags of things. The lady at the donation door was already there when I arrived. The donation process was very quick and easy. This isn't a huge Goodwill, but small to average. Their furniture area is pretty lackluster. I did find some interesting shoes, one of them was entirely handmade. Maybe my donations will help improve their inventory. You never know what might be hidden at Goodwill.

The inside is categorized into small sections. They have some beautiful ceramic dishes, cups and plates. There's vintage artwork, signs and calendars. For the kids, they have books, wooden blocks and puzzles. There's so many little figurines and a whole assortment of knickknacks. My favorites were the porcelain cups and the dangly pearl earrings. They have such pretty jewelry. Please use caution when browsing. I attempted to open one of the drawers off a small chest of drawers, it was lined with glass bottles on top. The drawer was stuck and the bottles trembled. This could have ended very badly. I enjoyed browsing through the collection of vintage items. I have been shopping here for months, and feel really disappointed that I will not be back after…read moretoday. The inner booths are SO small and crowded, that my daughter didn't see a brass candle holder on a cramped shelf and inadvertently brushed it off, where it fell and broke a ceramic item on the floor. (Note: my daughter is 28, not a little kid.) They asked us to pay for it, which we did. I told the woman that I really feel those interior booths practically feel like a booby trap for the unwary. SO... it's a wonderful place, but PLEASE be aware that some booths are very cramped and crowded, and if you break it, you WILL buy it. I guess I should be glad it wasn't a more expensive item.
