The flat-out best freaking dentist I have ever had. He is a great, funny guy who clearly cares about his patients. Yes, he will want you to get work done but it is because you need it. He is willing to work with you to try and get you the lowest option, he really is. Just make sure you're clear with him on what you want, he'll respect your wants. Oh, and don't even get me started on Manijeh. She is the nicest receptionist I've ever met. She always greets me with a "Hello darling!" as I walk in. Plus, she's really good about getting on my case. I hate the dentist. I had an awful dentist before Dr. Vandi and since then, I've hated all things dental related. I think it stems from a repressed childhood memory of a happy gas session gone bad. If I am not called and forced to come into the dentist, I won't go. Manijeh knows that about me and so she will call me, text me, email me, write me, whatever it takes to get me to come in. Now, I can't vouch for whether she's that way with all patients and I certainly can't vouch for whether all other patients of the dentist want/need it, but I'm just telling you my experience. I think this office works so well because Dr. Vandi can sometimes come off a bit gruff, but Manijeh will give you enough comfort to make it a really good environment for getting your teeth all drilled and crap. I had some dental work done to fix my smile and my teeth have never looked better. I got hit in the face while playing basketball and had to get crowns on my front teeth because they were broken to pieces. Dr. Bliss got me out of pain and remade my teeth to look like they were before but even straighter and whiter. Only down side is that she's making wear a night guard every night so I don't chip or break the dental work and I don't like wearing it. Small price to pay I guess. Recommend this place. read more

I have been to several dentist and it's hard to find someone who actually is working for the interest of his/her patient, not him/herself. Dr. Vandi is awesome, he will tell you the options available, give you proper consultation, and leave it up to you whether you want to continue. I went to a Dentist (not going to mention the name) and he said I had severe tooth decay and I needed a root canal on it immediately or my tooth throb in pain and/or fall off. I went to Dr. Vandi and it turned out what the first doctor diagnosed was simply a routine filling and I was being ripped off. Also unlike other Dentists, Dr. Vandi does not outsource his work to his staff. The general expectation when going to the dentist is being operated by a doctor, not a staff member. Well Dr.Vandi and staff have been taking care of me since around 2005. I have a deathly fear of the dentist and Dr Vandi and staff always make me feel more at ease, even before doing major work they somehow calm me. I haven't taken great care of my teeth and somehow Dr Vandi work's miracles and makes my smile presentable. Even more so the pain is gone which is life changing to say the least. The new office is REALLY nice and accommodating, and NEW!!!! They have all of the new equipment to make they're job easier which in turn your visit is smooth and over before you know it. I'm the type of person that understands how important a bi-yearly teeth cleaning is to good dental hygiene, so my search for a dental office started after I was working a stable job with decent health benefits. My friend referred me to Dr. Bliss first when she was working in a practice in Pacifica called Rockaway Dental. Not only does she have a gentle touch with those scary and sharp tools used for teeth and the mouth, she is also a very caring and understanding dentist. She is very thorough in explaining what she is doing and how any of the dental procedures work. I really appreciate her taking the time in answering all my questions about mouth hygiene and also tackling any myths that may come up in social media from time to time. I have to admit, it can be hard to trust a new dentist with your mouth, but Dr. Bliss is very good at making the atmosphere feel comfortable and laid back. Now that she has opened her own practice in Campbell, I have been happily driving over there from SF/Daly City to let her work on my teeth. Parking is also very easy to find, so that is a plus in my book! I will continue to trust her with all of my cavity fillings and any future dental needs! Where should I start? Well first off let's go over how I even stumbled upon them. I just recently moved to San Jose few months ago and I was in a need for a cleaning and on top of that have been wanting to get braces. But of course, in order to do so, you need to go through a dentist who will then recommend you to a orthodontist. Anyways, it was a regular afternoon when I decided to check on yelp and make calls to all the dentist in the area. From the ones I called they all either gave me weird confusing answers, put me on hold for too long, or even told me to come back when I know all my information. Mind you not I'm from Hawaii and I was really unsure if my dad's insurance could cover me though im not living at home with him. Point blank, the previous lady was rude. Fortunately...I mad a call to Dr. Vandi's office and their staff was great. :) Very nice and understanding. They took into consideration of my situation and said to come in anyways and theyll help me personally to see if my insurance was covered. Sure enough it was. Their treatment plan was plain and simple. In fact they saved me more money than I thought I was gonna spend. My previous dentist always wanted me to do some root canals which are expensive, yet when Dr. Vandi looked, he said that my cavities aren't that deep for me to need any of that. They know how to make each patient happy, in fact I got nicknamed as their Hawaiian Pineapple. :) Now if that isn't sweet of them then I don't know what is. The office itself is gorgeous. Reminds me of my aunt's home, and in a good way. The chairs are comfy, very well kept and clean. Marble tops and nicely furnished furniture give it a sophisticated look to it. Which I love when I first walk in. Parking isn't horrible, and waiting is always short. They are very proficient when it comes to handling their patients and timing. Very well organized as I have been saying. Overall: Dr Vandi and his staff has changed my outlook on dentists, and I recommend them to anyone who typically do not like dentist. Dr. Bliss has changed my outlook on dental care, and I couldn't be happier. I've had a few dentists in my childhood where my visits left me crying in pain. I developed a phobia and avoided going to the dentist at all costs...which left me in bad shape as far as oral care goes. One day, extreme nerve pain hit me out of nowhere and the pain was so intense my jaw locked and I was getting a migraine. I've never felt anything like it. A friend referred me to Dr. Bliss and she took me in immediately to help me with a much-needed root canal. She noticed my reluctance and was quick to walk me through the process, allowed me to take breaks when needed, and informed me what my next steps should be without pressuring me into any decisions. I didn't have dental health insurance at the time, so she helped me formulate a plan of action where I could still get follow up care I needed. I've never had a dentist where I felt I was a priority over their profit until I came here. Her staff is friendly, the office is clean and modern, and the patient care goes above and beyond. She accepts most dental insurances so I've been able to refer her to many of my friends and family--including an aunt whose teeth have degraded after chemotherapy. Then a was taken to the back for my appointment, the back was spotless. The ladies who helped me in the back were very nice. I've never had x-rays that didn't hurt my mouth, but this time they didn't. Then I met Dr. Vandi, what a nice man! Smiling all the time and truly genuine. He did my exam and gave me the news. I went to Bliss Dentistry seeking for a second opinion after my previous dentist had quoted me nearly my life savings for my dental treatment. Dr Vandi and his staff treated me with kindness and compassion unparalleled to any other practice I have ever been to. Dr Vandi and Mehdi really worked with me to try to make it as affordable as possible since I was between jobs. They understood and offered me their support and even followed up to see how I was doing after my appt. During the initial consultation Dr. Vandi listened to my concerns and made sure I felt safe and comfortable. He was very gentle and did not hurt me in any way, He didn't dig into my gums with a metal instrument or stretch my mouth to far. Some dentists stretch your mouth till it feels like it will rip and poke your gums with sharp instruments its torture for people like me. I should also mention that the waiting room is beautiful, clean and up to date, they have free wifi and offer you bottled water in the waiting room. I think of this office as Team Vandi, because Dr. Vandi and his entire staff, absolutely care for me as a fellow human being. I know it's hard to imagine, but I look forward to my regular appointments for cleaning, because the welcome is so authentic and genuine. I feel like I'm returning home. So, anxiety is zero. Originally I went to Dr. Vandi because of TMJ, as I needed someone who could perfectly articulate my bite. That was in 2008. Not only did he immediately relieve my distress, but he made me a night guard that keeps my mouth in perfect alignment while I'm sleeping. No more neck aches from unconscious grinding. Since then, I've had crowns made, fillings replaced, and have never, ever experienced discomfort or pain during the procedures. All manner of comfort is offered, including bottled water and a warm blanket. Dr. Vandi checks often as he works, to make sure there is no discomfort in my mouth. As he works, he is a very calm, methodical, and caring. There is no pain. I am in the presence of someone who loves his work. It doesn't get any better than this. The office is beautifully decorated, with a sense of elegance and taste that makes me feel important. Also, Dr. Vandi is equipped with the latest and best of dental instrumentation. It's a very classy place to visit. Not something one expects of a dental office. I am currently living in Portland, OR, and still return to Dr. Vandi for all my dental needs, including cleaning. so i haven't been to a dentist in over 15 years! do to being cut by a dentist when i was a kid ! TERRIFIED is the word i use when i think of a dentist. after a look through on YELP i found DDS Vandi and wow they took away all the fear when i walked in the door. this is the cleanest office i have ever seen and you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door. the staff is so professional and they walk you through every minute of the process of your visit. Dr. vandi is the coolest guy you can ever meet friendly, professional, kind, and all around the best dentist i have ever met. there is no rush they take their time with everyone and make sure they understand each moment of the visit. i will be taking my family there because i only want the best for them and i am sure this dentist is the best any where. The best dentist in town. He is very friendly and professional, perfect at what he does. He just made me a night guard to protect my teeth from grinding overnight and I've also had jaw pain for the past couple of month which apparently was caused by me putting too much pressure on my teeth and jaw while I was asleep, which I guess is because of too much stress. From what I've learned most us do need night guards and don't realize that until we break our teeth or in my case it caused jaw pain. in some people it even causes day time headache! Just know that prevention is key, don't wait until something goes wrong, because then it might be too late. both me and my mom wear night guards at nights and my jaw pain is totally gone and it feels amazing. Oh btw, they gave me my night guard in a little Pink box which was so cute! anyways, I feel like I totally turned this review into a night guard blog! I had an outstanding experience during my visit at Dr. Vandi's office. The staff was a pleasure to work with, they were very professional, the office equipment is state of the art and very clean. I have OCD towards medical offices, but this place was by far the cleanest office I've been to, almost doesn't feel like the cold dental office. As far a my teeth goes, I had frequent pains in my mouth. Dr Vandi told me I had 2 cavities and some other issues that had to be taken care of. He started me with a cleaning and filled my cavities a couple days later, he also provided me with a mouthguard since I grind my teeth in my sleep. After the fills my mouth was a bit numb but I had no pain afterwards, yes!! I am definitely referring my friends and family. Nothing better than a good dentist, very hard to come by. read more
