My review is of the Sandy, Utah - South Town Mall location. But I got the impression they were all family owned. My daughter found her favorite dress for prom. It needed a little alteration so we put it on hold as we looked into how/ if / when this could happen in the short week until the dance. I called about 2.5 hours later and the dress was gone. Even the bigger one was gone. The owner felt bad and made several calls trying to find a replacement and even made a special order to get another one shipped before prom. Bliss paid for shipping without having us pre- pay for the dress. The shipping cost and the rush on the alteration was a cost they were willing to eat to help my daughter get her favorite dress. If you like something here I say buy it right then and save yourself from suffering shopping overload. They will do right by you and help you find what you need. Bliss in Ogden: Horrible customer service. DO NOT waste your time or money shopping here. Per their policy, I made an appointment for my daughter and her friends since a parent was not going to be there (all are in high school, but they are all 18 years old, have jobs, and their own bank accounts). The owner refused to allow "the girls" to try on any dresses and called them liars because one of her employees put down the wrong information and stated that they were from out of town. They are all local Davis County adults. Maybe as a business owner, you should educate your employees on what your company policy is, so they can relay that information when setting appointments. The owner also stated, that every "girl" needs to have a parent there. Some people don't have the luxury of having parents or guardians available for these special events in their lives. Should they be penalized and discriminated against for this? This is 2022, close your doors, since there are so many other businesses that know how to treat paying customers. You should be ashamed that you run a business, that refuses and discriminates against legal adult women. read more

Buyer BEWARE!!! We bought a dress form here, which I hadn't done before, but my daughter found one she loved so we got it. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!! We bought it early because she found it and then it's nice to be done. When she put it on on Prom night the piece in the back was completely coming apart where it connected to the zipper. What are you suppose to do at this point? I chased after my daughter while she was at dinner, while only way I call the Layton Bliss and they said I would have to go in when the Owner was there. I rushed into the restaurant and hurried and pinned her dress so she wasn't losing that piece all night. I went in today to see what they would do to help me out and the Owner was so rude!! First he accused me of letting her wear it to other proms because we had bought it so early! Heaven help you don't wait to the last minute to buy a dress!! This was not the case! She had tried the dress on three times... the first at the store, the second at our house when she got her shoes to make sure it worked with the length, and the third was Prom night!! So frustrating! And by the way she hadn't been asked to other proms, just er own school! He did offer to give me $40 because thats what it would cost to fix it but what about the fact that he sold us defective merchandise? Eventually I took the $40 only because he wasn't offering anything else other than belittling, rude comments. I wasn't even asking for them to return the dress but I thought since I had spent more than $240 that it was fair to ask for $100 because of the humiliation and running around I had to do. When I told him I was getting the treatment and reaction I thought I would get after reading the reviews of his store he told me he wouldn't do anything and started being even more of a JERK!! Bottom line, don't shop here unless you want to be treated like scum and get dresses that are less than what you are paying for!! After this experience we are finding out that we are not the only ones this kind of stuff has happened to! There are many more!! read more

Not the best experience. I found the perfect wedding dress. It was missing the back part, the material that goes under the corset. It also had a few beads missing. They offered no discount and all the material they came up with was not the same color as the dress and not the one it came with. I also found a beautiful purple mesh thing to cover my arms but they wouldn't sell me the purple on because it went with the purple dress. Well the purple dress is the exact dress as mine except its purple and mine is white. So I asked if mine came with a white one and they said no. I asked if I could order the dress and they said maybe. They called and told me they can order me the dress brand new with the correct pieces and the white mesh does come with it after all. (Still couldn't get me purple) anyway they told me it would only be 1 1/2 weeks but 3 weeks later nothing. So called and was told they didn't have it because they didn't get the order in on time and the designer was fading them out for the new season. I ALREADY paid $350 for this dress...they said they will hunt it down and can get me one thing week but its really scary this kind of service when its a very important event with deadlines. Lucky I have time. Also the girls who work their are like high school age and act like they don't have a clue or care at all. Makes for terrible service. I only hope i get what I ordered....I only give it 2 stars because it was a beautiful affordable dress read more
