Surprisingly great customer service! Shopping alone when you're disabled is always intimidating and scary. Especially if it's for formal wear. It was easy to book an appointment online. I arrived a little early and they were able to help me right away. The representative was simply amazing. Very thoughtful, did a great job listening to what I was looking for and helped me find what they had available in store. Unfortunately mine is a surprise event and we didn't have time to order in, but she let me know that was an option. Besides not having a huge selection in my plus size, it was a surprisingly positive experience. My only complaint is the dressing room had no bench, and so wasn't quite as accessible as I would have liked. But the assistance from the sales person definitely made up for that. read more

We had an amazing experience Saturday picking out my sisters wedding dress! There were a lot of brides checking in, but they were super organized and ready for everyone. Casey was our stylist and she also had another bride. She was so great at balancing both families and making us all feel special and included while maintaining social distancing to keep us all safe. The sales manager Jocelyn was there offering suggestions and helping while Casey was attending the other bride. We loved them both. They were so helpful! We didn't feel rushed or pressured to purchase and felt like Casey really listened to my sisters vision and came through with the most perfect dress!! My sister went there to purchase a dress. The associate told her she looked good in it and sold her the wrong size. She assured her she could fit in a size 8 when she is a size 14-16. She now has an 800 dollar wedding dress she can't fit into and the store refuses to do anything about it. LIARS. I PROMISE TO TELL all the people I know about this experience. I called headquarters for her and I got the runaround. They gave me fake numbers that are out of service, when I did find someone I was hung up on twice and when I talked to a manager they told me they would contact the store and they never contacted us back. Brittany, our consultant was wonderful - attentive, personable!! We found the bridal gown within an hour and Maid of Honor & Flower girls dresses shortly after. Called to make my appointment about 4 days in advance, the lady was nice over the phone and confirmed my appointment with me. We arrived 30 minutes early to browse for bridesmaid/flower girl dresses. When it came time for my appointment I went up front to check in and they didn't have me in their system and said they were all booked. Pretty disappointing considering I made the appointment over the phone and the lady read my appointment date and time back to me to make sure it was right. The girls said they could have their manager be my consultant, but after browsing their dresses I didn't find anything worth trying on and decided to go with a previous dress I found in bountiful. I'm a lot more confident in that shop considering how well they pampered me and were not in any way snooty or pushy. I'm actually kind of glad my appointment wasn't in their system read more

Horrible experience at David's Bridal In Layton. We scheduled an appointment to try on bridesmaids dresses. The consultant was bouncing between two groups trying on dresses and was little to know help. When we finally found dresses, we were informed that there was a 16 week lead time to order the dresses. This timeframe would not work due to the wedding being in 17 weeks. Then we were told that they could lie about the wedding date and have it available in 10 weeks. We decided to go to lunch to discuss and when we came back after lunch to order it, the same consultant and store manager said they were unable to get it any sooner than the 16 week lead time and tomorrow it would most likely be 18+ weeks. Needless to say I will never do business with them as I feel like they do not care about the customer and lie to make a sale. read more

I'd highly recommend the Layton store over the Salt Lake location. It is smaller and has more of an intimate feel. Shay was very patient and pleasant. I scheduled a bridesmaid appointment and had 6+ people at the store with kids. Yikes! That was not a good idea. The intent was to check out flower girl dresses but didn't find anything we liked. I didn't give Shay 5 stars because she started our appointment late and didn't extend the time we lost. I didn't appreciate that :( To have lost time and then feel rushed. Cj the manager is so nice during my appointment, while trying on dresses she suggested a dress, and at first I was hesitant but I tried it on anyway and when I walked out she was such a hype woman, made me feel so good in that dress, and when I went to take pictures they offered to take the pictures for me so I wouldn't have to take them threw a mirror I thought that was very thoughtful and nice so ofc I said yes. While checking in their girl the front desk was so nice I know that's her job but she was so cute all the girls there are so nice and so welcoming I'd definitely recommend going here for your dress needs read more

I had an appointment first thing at 9 am on a Saturday morning. My "stylist" was late, so the manager helped me at first. She was great, very friendly and seemed to want to get to know my style. Then came the lady who was supposed to help me from the get go... She wasn't proactive, and didn't seem to understand the style that I wanted. The manager spoke up a few times and would recommend things and seemed to care a lot more. My "stylist" really pushed me away from wanting to purchase from there and give her credit for the lack of work. Friendly, positive and fashion-forward are some of the characteristics that were lacking that are very important for a person working in that profession should have. read more

Came in today with my sister to look for wedding dresses. She had an appointment but was going to be a little late so my mom and I showed up at her appointment time to see if we could find anything in her style and size. We were extremely disappointed at how rude the employees were. When I walked in, they asked what they could help me with and I pointed to my mom and said that I was with her. They then rudely said "well the brides not here yet." They then proceeded to tell us that we could only stay until 3 because that's when our appointment ended. I understand that they have other people to help but if you want us to buy your dresses and come back, the least you could do is be kind and go the extra mile to make customers feel welcome. Let's just say it was a experience I didn't plan on. I took my daughter in just to try on dresses. Be sure to make an appointment or you might end up coming back but it was so worth it. Whitney was so very awesome she first had my daughter look at pictures to find out her taste then took some time to pull out dresses. Whitney was very kind and respectful and open to ideas. My daughter found the dress that she wanted and we will only have a few alterations to be made. I would have given 5 stars if the alterations lady would have been nicer she acted like we were bothering her because I asked prices we kinda have to stick to a budget and didn't want to spend it all on the dress. I really loved the service I received from the second I stepped in the door. The staff was very friendly and helped me with everything, I went in not knowing a lot except that I needed a dress and it had to make me look pretty. Lo and the rest of the staff spent four hours helping me find my dress and explaining the costs and how to apply for financing and anything else that was important for me to know. My son just got married. The bridal gown from Davids was beautiful and well made. On the other hand the brides maids dresses were a disaster. All were tried on in the store and the fit was fine. All were measured by store staff. When the dresses came in some went past the brides maids knees and the same style hardly covered their behinds. There was no way to alter the dresses, they came in 4 weeks prior to the wedding which left no time to reorder. They were a DISASTER. Terrible customer service. The 1st time I went in the attendant assigned to my sister didn't help at all. I got the gowns for her, I helped dress her, etc. we decided to try one more time. We had a 5:30 appointment but showed up at 3:30 to ask if they could see us early, they said, yes, give us 15 min. An hour later we were still waiting. By 5:00 we were really mad when we asked yet again what was going on and were told an associate had just left. Yes, we had an appointment so if they had said, no, we're busy. We would have come back for the appointment. They shouldn't have said they could help us if they couldn't. I asked if we could just try on a few dresses ... No, the attendant has to help you. Why? Came in testing the waters before looking for a wedding dress. So we asked about brides maid dresses. They literally pointed us in a direction and just put our name on a dressing room...that's it. I set an appointment, I called in, they even had the gall to tell me to just "leave the dresses there when you are done". They then went to help a walk in who was thinking that their boyfriend was going to propose soon. Me and my fiancé felt completely pushed aside. Not only will I never recommend this place to anyone but I will vocally tell people to keep away if they even hint they are going to be married. Customer service is a nightmare. My first trip in, I was greeted kindly at the door. I'd scheduled a appointment, and was introduced to my consultant. She took me around and showed me several gorgeous dresses and seemed happy to show me options in my price range (so far- so good), once I'd selected several dresses, and was ready to try on, the store got busier, and my consultant was hopping between clients. I was left in the fitting room with different associates coming in to help me with the dresses. My shopping experience was not too bad, and I did find a dress I loved and it was a total steal at only $99! Then came the alterations appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, they seemed understaffed. The woman doing the alterations was brand new, and did a nice job, but did not seem confident and took ages to pin my hem. The fitting: Again, I had an appointment, this time it was during the middle of the day, during the week, so I had to take off work to make it to the appointment, and they said the only appointments available were during the week. there was NO ONE at the front when I went in. I waited and then wandered back to the alterations area, one of the associates rudely asked if I needed help, as though I shouldn't have been in the back. Another woman came to help, but she was not from the alterations crew, and didn't know how to fasten the bustle, which is why I was to bring my maid-of-honor so she could learn. I had my kids with me, and my four-year-old daughter rang the "wedding dress bell" as she was waiting for me. The rude associate from earlier, gave us the dirtiest look! Alterations charged me $400 to bring up the hem, put in a bustle and add a corset to the back of the dress. There were additional charges to remove the belt which came with the dress. As I was leaving, the associate told me that I could come back in a couple of days before the wedding to have the dress steamed and pressed one more time. When I called to confirm this today, I was told that it would be an additional charge of $40 to steam and press the dress again. read more

Terrible! Every girls dreams of her "own" dress. David's does not have different dresses. All of them look exactly the same and seen before! The consultians were very rude and could care less if I got a dress or not. Half the time we couldn't even find her. We had to look through the book and find dresses because she was to lazy to pull some for me. After we told her some dresses to get she put one on me, dissapeared and never brought the rest! I have been trying to get a Vera wang dress in a certain color and was settling for a different color because I was told it wasn't available anymore. Taylor D was so amazing! I would never recommend Davids Bridal to anyone! I tried on a dress that was way too expensive for me. When I told the employee that I had to think about it and talk to my mom, who wasn't able to make it yet is funding the dress, she became ignorant and rude. She proceeded to shove a credit card application in my face and tried to get me to fill it out. When I refused, she became even more upset with me instead of trying to find a similar dress in my price range. All they care about is money and not the bride at all! Worst place ever! read more

More issues...Davids Bridal Lynnwood ordered my dress in the WRONG Size. SO now instead of having a shiny, new, never been worn before wedding dress, I have the dress from the floor. Sure they said that they will clean it and then turn around and charge me a fortune for the alterations-no discount although they had ordered the wrong size. Next up is my mothers dress, it came and they called me (not her) to say that it was in. My mom came over from Whidbey Island this weekend to pick it up. Luckily, she wanted to try it on before she left the store because the zipper was puckered and there was a hole in this dress. Really!!!! David's Bridal-dont you think that you could look the dresses over when they come it BEFORE calling and asking it to be picked up? A little quality control people! I have had such a miserable experience with Davids Bridal overall for my wedding and I will tell everyone to run in the other direction! read more
