I'm 4 sessions down on a full leg laser Groupon (6 sessions total). Each time has had different experiences but I wouldn't say I've had any bad ones. They were very informative during the initial consultation, answered all my questions and the girls are easy to talk to in the room. The laser experience is usually 40-45 minutes total and I've not had any long waits as I get there early and plan to not be there when I have to rush somewhere afterward (it's a "spa" after all). The new location is very nice and feels much more inviting than the old place between the bar and bike shop. Lol! Obviously, ptobably not the nicest place in town, but I have enjoyed coming here. Just don't miss your monthly appt! I missed number 3 and the earliest they could get me in was 2 months later so it set me back when I was hoping to be hair free care free by the summer. My only complaint is that the guy (I'm assuming he owns the plsce) likes to try and up-sell. Like all the time and it gets a little annoying. I paid my $300 (honestly it was like $289) and I wanna enjoy it without being milked for more cash. Ask on my 6th sesh, but not every single time. In summary, I would certainly recommend this place. I can't believe this spa is still in business after the experience I just had with them. Chalk it up to their recent move or as Brittany S. says, "growing pains" if you want, but to me there's no excuse for this treatment...and I've never even set foot in either their new or old locations! I purchased their groupon, then proceeded to call to try to set up an appointment. I left a message. They called me back the first time and left me a message. It was all downhill from there. I called and called and called and left message after message requesting that they call me back. They never did. One time I managed to get someone on the phone and was told they couldn't help me then but would call me back in an hour. A day later I still had not heard back from them. Finally, one magical day, when all the planets aligned and a butterfly flapped its wings in the Amazon...I was able to get a hold of an actual person at the spa and set up an appointment. I was told there was a mandatory consultation prior to being able to use the service indicated on the groupon. This consultation costs $35 and was not mentioned on the groupon. They actually admitted that they had a hidden fee. Fine, go ahead and add that cost to the money I already paid. The day before the appointment rolls around and I received as promised both an email and text confirmation. I confirmed with them that I would indeed be appearing for my scheduled appointment. Then, the day of the appointment, after I had already done the necessary pre-treatment to the area, I received a voicemail saying they had to cancel! What?! When I called to reschedule the appointment, guess what??!! I got their answering machine. I left an upset message complete with my phone number and a request to call me back. Still waiting for that call... Thankfully groupon is a better company. I emailed them with a description of my experience. They promptly refunded me the $ from the groupon in groupon bucks. Hopefully the companies I use those bucks for will be more reputable. read more

In short: Do you enjoy sitting by helpless as your hard earned money goes to waste? Do unprofessional people make you happy? I bought the Groupon for my cousin for Christmas and she has had nothing but issues with this salon since she started. They rescheduled her session 3 times, once while she was driving to the salon. I drove her to her second appointment which they confirmed and failed to let us know that they had moved to another location. Got a Groupon special for a full face treatment (6 sessions). First few sessions were ok, but I always had to wait 15-20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to get in. Around the third session, the technician started just doing my lip & sideburns. I feel like they oversold on the Groupons and they're trying to get everyone through like McDonalds. My 5th session was supposed to be the first week of August and it's been rescheduled 4 times. I changed it once, but they've changed it 3 other times. I never got a call to reschedule & I'm not going back. The services worked, but unless I continue it won't be permanent. I'm not going back & will be contacting Groupon. He's a laser tech who is very knowledgeable and respectful. Very awesome and kudos to him. Back to the owner, the office signed me us for my fiances 6 of 6 laser appt, so we thought. She recd the treatment and then the owner told her it would be $60 unless she bought a package AGAIN ! Wouldn't they have had the decency to tell us that when scheduling what we thought was 6 of 6. It may have been that the girl who scheduled it didn't know what she was doing, which she seemed not to or even care as she ignored my questions when scheduling. This salon has been through some growing pains with the changing of staff and the remodeling of the inside. I was forgiving of some of their less than hygienic (not wearing gloves or cleaning the laser from one person to another) or professional practices (not confirming I wasn't pregnant BEFORE starting) because of the groupon deal, but after making six hour long drives to the clinic and 450 dollars later, I'm sorry to say my legs look exactly the same. read more

This place is hit-or-miss. I've had a good experience with the technicians and it's clean and normally fast; but I greatly dislike the manager, Adrian. He's the stereotypical businessman. Greedy, greasy and unconcerned about anything unless its $$$$. Also, they don't tell you beforehand that the groupon or livingsocial deal is not all-inclusive of the price. You have to pay an additional fee for the initial assessment. Total BS b/c it doesn't say anything about this in the fine print of the deals. So far, it has taken 8 treatments on my armpits and I'm still not hairless. It's decreased, but it's definitely not gone. So, I bought 6 more treatments b/c why start and not finish (I'm hoping it will get to a point I am happy with it). *Fingers Crossed* My last appointment (the first time at the new location) was terrible! I got in early and sat down in the reception area. I waited 10 minutes without seeing anyone. I called, nobody answered. I sat back down and waited. Finally getting tired and frustrated of waiting I shouted, 'hello is anyone here?' No response. I finally had to go through the building, knocking on doors and someone finally came out. It was their new laser tech. He said how can I help you? I told him I was here for my appointment and asked if he was the only person here because I have been waiting for 30 minutes and my appointment was 20 minutes ago. He said he'd be right with me. Ten minutes later... But the tech was good. At first he seemed like he had no idea what he was doing, but he's trained and certified and I didn't have any problems afterward. At this point the manager, Adrian, finally shows up. Tries to schedule my appointment but has no idea how far out to schedule it or how many more treatments I have left. Groupon is not worth it unless you like waiting. They overbook their appointments. Normal wait times ranges from 1 - 2 hours. White Med Spa off of 281 is a better bet for Groupon. read more

The product (laser hair removal) has worked very well for me. And it was cheap. That being said it is apparently common to have to wait in the waiting room for over an hour. This has been the case for me and I have talked with others while waiting and they have had the same experience. Another thing that has irked me is their sales gimmicks. They will lure you in with a low price on Groupon or the like. But that is the only one you can ever use. If you want another reasonably priced service you must pay for it on your first visit. You cannot get one after that. I was told over the phone while setting up my first appointment that there would be a $25 consultation fee. When I got there it turned into a $35 fee.Overall I would not recommend this place. read more

Worst customer service ever. Owner took over three weeks to get back to me after I called 6-7 times in a three week period. When he finally called back he hadn't even investigated my issue and said "I'm sorry if you think I should just drop everything for you". He then told me he had 20-30 days to investigate any issue, but in my estimation, waiting 3 weeks to even ask what happened suggests my business doesn't matter to him. After we talked, i saw there had been a few misunderstandings but by then, our relationship was broken. He used an " emergency" as an excuse for two different times that he left the office when I was to come to see him. I was told I could come the next day at noon instead and I left a message that night just before they closed asking for a call in the morning as I couldn't be there right at noon. I finally reached the owner at 1155 because no one called me. He wanted me to come right then but I was already angry that no one had called to confirm if he would still be there after 12. I felt that would be a courtesy sonnce they cancelled on me, but I was gunshy from the two prior last minute cancellations (I was literally 3 minutes away the first time he left the office without telling me). As a result of all the fallout, I have asked for a copy of my medical records and they told me I needed to send a release form. They promised to email me the blank release form but never sent it. I called back twice to ask again and assure accurate email addresses and was promised again. I then called the next day (today) and stated i would write my own letter but still needed an adequate fax or email to send the letter. The owner also had his secretary let me know he had 20-30 days to copy and provide the record from the time of receiving the release. She confirmed they have a copy machine right there in the building, so clearly the goal is just to make it as hard as possible for me to get my records (which I am obtaining because I got blisters and broken blood vessels on my legs twice with their treatments and want to ensure I have lower, safer settings at my next laser place. My lesions aren't gone yet and it's been four weeks). I called in the morning and afternoon and they now refuse to provide me an email or fax number, so I have to go in person. I refused to return due to the way I was treated, some lies about pricing, the constantly request that I come to appointments to discuss my concerns rather than at least doing a courtesy call to make it more convenient to discuss, cancelling my appointments on short notice without offering reasonable rescheduling (he later admitted his friend had a baby- not an emergency. Not even a relative), refusal to provide a service because we were "late" which was due to a misunderstanding where his staff called and told us to show at 630 when my daughters appointment was at 6, and now being flighty about a simple request for a copy of my records. He says I am "the kind of person that is condescending and threatening" because I said i would use legal representation for further interactions if he would not review my case and because I told him I would use yelp to let others know that it was not the misunderstanding or the refund issue that got me, it was the customer service. He also attempted to charge me three times the price for a leg treatment because I got the treatment believing I had already bought a package. When he found out I wanted my money back for my daughter's unused package and that I would complain on yelp, he said I couldn't come in any more for to complete a full leg package and would need to pay full price for the one treatment I did receive. ($273 for one instead of $175 for three)He was also going to refund my daughters package less a late fee despite being the ones who cancelled her appointment. Buyer beware. 7 treatmebts and I still have lots of growth too, soaybe the treatment isn't that great either. I am pursuing legal action, so maybe I'm a jaded case but I will be getting treatmebts elsewhere and if I have good experiences, I will update with recommendations. From other reviews, not the only one. I'm just a worse case scenario. Awful, awful service. My mom and I scheduled our follow-up appointments for laser hair removal at the same time, and when we got there, they said they did not see our appointments. Someone would take us back to the room, and the guy back there would say we weren't supposed to be back there. He said it was a mistake, so he made us go back up front. We waited for over a half an hour past our original appointment time. The people were unprofessional, unpleasant, and disorganized. We were very frustrated with the quality of this business. The front desk guy, wish I got his name--short hispanic guy--such a total attitude that I left immediately. If you want to nurture the trust it takes to strip down and have someone zap you, you had better work on your beside manner--or front desk manner as it were.
