IRating 4.5. had heard of this place from a friend. We were in the neighbourhood so we stopped in for lunch. It is bright, clean and they have a wonderful menu of ALL vegan and gf food. Everything is made in house and nothing is deep fried and no refined sugar used.....so no guilt happy eating. They have an extensive dessert display and I had the peach crumble bar which was yummy! I shared the cauliflower wings with spicy sauce and arancini with cashew "blue" cheeze. Both were tasty and satisfying. I wanted the potato soup with coconut bacon but found it slightly bland and it just tasted like coconut chunks in the soup vs "bacon" flavour(likely seasoning dissolved off in the soup). I had the warrior "taco" which was basically a lettuce wrap. It was very tasty but difficult to eat snd messy. The sun dried tomato flavour was so good. My favourite vegan/vegetarian restaurant so far. I appreciate that they use real ingredients and abstain from refined sugars... I ordered the: 1. Falafel bowl: The tzatziki sauce tasted exactly like tzatziki sauce using yogurt etc. The falafels are baked and not deep fried. Con for me was the price - $16 is steep. 2. Pumpkin cheezcake: Absolute must get. I prefer this to regular cheesecake - sweetened with maple syrup. The crust is made from dates and maybe something else. The coconut whip cream is a nice substitute for the regular whip cream. GET THIS. 3. Oat cranberry walnut cookie: Get this - end of story 4. Double chocolate sweet potatoe cookie: This was a bit odd; It was not as satisfying as the oat cranberry walnut cookie. However, I still devoured it. Service: The ladies behind the counter were very helpful, and patient with me. The kitchen seemed a bit slow, given the restaurant was only 20% full. Awesome vegan and gluten free restaurant in Waterdown, ON a suburb of Hamilton. You will find an eclectic menu of burgers, fries, tacos, bowls, and salads. Everything is lovingly made by hand. The portions are small but packed with flavor. The kale Caesar is great and the house made Parmesan is to-die for and is used on the Caesar as well as sprinkled on top of the fries. The fries are a generous combination of white and sweet potatoes fries. I appreciate that the gluten free buns do not fall apart when eating your burger and are tasty. I dropped by here after I finished a race in Hamilton. After running 16 km, I was famished. I walked in and I was pleasantly surprised at how the space was so inviting. It was open, airy yet cozy at the same time. It definitely felt like bliss to me. The servers were so friendly too. I had a detox green drink and the kimchi burger. The detox green drink didn't look appetizing at all, but it was very refreshing and very healthy. I also had the kimchi burger with yam fries. The patty was made from black beans and the bun was gluten free. The taste was great, it wasn't heavy and made for a guilt free meal and I liked the yam fries too. They weren't so much fries as "roasted", but they were still amazing. Verdict: I'd definitely come back if I was in the area. read more

The space at Bliss Kitchen is inviting with a soothing pastel colour palette. We noticed the delightful aroma as soon as we walked in. We enjoyed the falafel salad, curry bowl, unicorn latte, latte, chia doughnut and blix cashew cheezecake. The cashew tzatziki sauce and house-made falafel in the salad were the best I've had! The coconut curry sauce in the bowl was a perfect balance of creaminess and spice. The unicorn latte was a soft pink colour and a delicious flavour. The latte was prepared with coconut milk and was super creamy...so good! The chia doughnut was slightly dry, but the creamy icing and dehydrated strawberry offset it. The blix cheezecake crust was made of dates, which made it too sweet. Perhaps if the crust wasn't as thick, the sweetness wouldn't be as overwhelming. The cashew cheezecake itself was smooth, creamy and tasty. The reason I gave Bliss Kitchen a 4 out of 5 is the serving size and the time we waited for our food. I was debating between the yam burger and the curry bowl. Our server suggested I order the burger plus an extra side of curry fries. I thought that might be too much food - as I was already eyeing dessert and needed to save room for it - and opted for the bowl instead. When I saw the serving size, I understood why she had suggested ordering more food. Considering it was mid afternoon and we were the only two people in the restaurant for a while (two people sat at another table partway through our meal), we were surprised by how long it took to get our food...especially our lattes and dessert. At first, it was nice to have the time and privacy to catch up with my friend in such a lovely environment that smelled of delicious freshly baked goods, but then the wait became an annoyance. If you're looking for a delicious vegetarian or vegan meal in a quaint, laidback environment and you have a couple of hours, eat in at Bliss Kitchen. Best vegan restaurant in the Hamilton area, and trust me I've been to them all! The food here is all made from scratch, it's super healthy but very delicious! They take it to the next level... they add a delish topping to their fries, and make a homemade almond feta that is insane. Everything is fresh and the portions are great. Average prices for this kind of place where they use organic fresh ingredients. I love it. And if you are not really into super healthy tasting food, try the falafel bowl or burrito bowl. Since they've reopened and renovated I've been really impressed with their desire to separate themselves from the standard "vegan" cuisine of bowls and little else. Variety matters and Kudos to them to really working to create something unique. The kids had rice and raw veggies and fries. We shared the burgers and both were fantastic. "Cheese" sauce was delicious. Definitely coming back. I wish this place was closer to me so I can come here every week. I tried the hearty vegetable stew and the cheezy cheeze fries and they were so delicious. Also tried various chocolate desserts and cookies and they were soo amazing. I have no complaints about the food at all (and I'm not a vegan), everything was delicious. The environment is small but very cute and modern. They offer free water on the side which is nice. It's about a one hour drive from etibicoke but it's so worth it! read more

The menu was huge and no added sugar to the raw vegan desserts. That is why this will get 3 stars.i unfortunately called ahead asking if they took American Express , and was told they do. THEY DONT. And I was in the area on business so I was disappointed about that. I also felt like the cookies were still of an experiment of trying to find the right shapes and consistency. The desserts in the glass case seemed to be more of their prize possessions. I ordered the Daily Bowl, which was HUGE for the price, but the flavors didn't seem to go together, along with the MASSIVE about of sauce they put on top. The restaurant is clean and bright. Their chia seed pudding is amazing even my 5 year old loves it. The fries and mushroom gravy are so flavorful and have an amazing texture. All their food is wholesome and while at first the portions seem smaller than other restaurants, they are very filling. Thank the whole food!! Everything is prepared in house which is nice. Definitely one of the best vegan restaurants out there. Oh and don't forget to try their Bliss Bites or their Blix bars. read more

Let me start by saying, I really want to love bliss kitchen. I do. I went a couple weeks back and the server was, confusing and a little too spunky. The Kale Cesar salad was overly 'garlicy' but I still got dessert as I was loving the fact I finally found somewhere I can eat with all my dietary restrictions. However the kale salad didn't end up sitting well. Oh well, I let it go. Last night I convinced my friend we had to go try the burgers and rooted fries. Let me start with the fact that we started out with a great server, but she got otherwise occupied and what replaced her was not impressive AT ALL. If I were to guess, this server that replaced our lovely blonde server was celebrating that pot is now legalized because she was up in the clouds and made no sense. She had no idea what any of the food was made of or why it would be well paired with our meals. Then we got our food. Our semi warm, mushy patties with dry chewy gluten free buns (which is a huge disappointment because I love finding new GF breads to fall in love with) were horrible, the fries were more like mash and the "side cheese sauce" was BLAND, FLAVOURLESS and inedible! I wish this was the end of the bad experience but no. The stomach pain and nausea that followed for the rest of the night was the cherry on this yucky cake. I think Bliss Kitchen has really gotten lost since when it first open. I miss the small little place that produced beautiful, happy gut food. Bring them back! read more

I am not a vegetarian or vegan and this is probably my new favourite restaurant. The food is SO fresh! Every bite is an explosion of flavour! I tried the falafel burger and curry fries and couldn't believe how amazing all the ingredients came together! The staff was super involved and wanted to make sure we had a great experience. A literal copy and paste from my google review In my opinion, this restaurant is good, but nothing too spectacular given the ratings so far. The staff is friendly and professional; however, dining in anyways, the way food is ordered and served seems to be similar to self service restaurants meaning that you have to get water, cutlery, and napkins yourself. It's not their fault really; the dining space is rather small and only one person at the counter. Their menu is rather extensive with lots of appealing choices, but, as other reviews have stated, they are a bit expensive. So I decided to try out the Apollo bowl, $14 tax inclusive, and its good, but there are some things that, for me, should be noted. The lemon dressing in the rice is a bit too acidic for me and leaves a sharp taste of lemon in my mouth, though the tzatiki and veggies does mellow the sensation, but not much. The rice could use a bit more oil to counter its thick, starchy taste and the acidity in the dressing. The falafel had good flavour, but the texture was weird for me; the interior was rather mushy and it was not crispy enough on the outside. Its rather small, with 6-8oz of rice along with 3 falafels and some onions, diced cucumbers and tomatoes. In summation, gotten too used to this bulls*** academic writing, it's a good restaurant overall and definitely worth a try. I expect people on diets and vegans to rave about this place, and it does deserve such praise from them, but not from me. The food is good, service is friendly but not that accommodating, and the place looks good, but nothing outstanding. Should be a 3.5 stars for the rating, but Yelp will not let me do half star ratings. End of this super long a** review. read more
