    Compliments of the Translator app.

Took my husband for a mani and pedi and he's retired military. He did a few tours in Loa and other parts of Vietnam, and speaks some Vietnamese. He had his translator app on and translated what the two nail techs were discussing. I have attached the conversation. I am totally appalled and disappointed as I have befriended a couple of the technicians in this salon. We shared the translation with their 1200 pm appointment fsa, and admonish those that frequent this establishment to be aware of the racism you are financially supporting. Personally, i will no longer patronize this salon.

    SNS disaster

Oh my god, do not come here. Under new management and it shows!!! Hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon, and I've had plenty mediocre experiences, but this one took the cake. I'm not understanding how you employ nail techs who can't do a SIMPLE mani, pedi, or French design. I've been here a few times and had no complaints, always fast, efficient, great work. But I had no idea management changed hands because I moved out of state. Anyway, I'm writing this as I soak the horrid SNS set I received yesterday off IN ORDER TO get my money back. I only took one photo of the work as I was absolutely livid and rushing to a birthday dinner. The tech I had could BARELY do a French mani on my feet, I had to literally instruct her. The SNS mani was so sloppy, thick, and she ruined my nail shape and length which will take weeks to grow back/repair. The manager didn't even care that someone was leaving their shop with this quality of work. She said she'd give me 10% off and if I come back the next day to remove the polish she'll then refund me or do a new set for free. And get this - the soak off took an hour. Yea, at this point, I think they were going out of their way to make me miserable. I forgot to mention it took THREE HOURS to do a mani pedi with NO design. Also, if you've ever been to Bliss in the last 2 years, you know that it's always jumping! Yesterday and today it's been a total of 5 customers during peak hours - that should've been my first indication that something wasn't right. There's also constantly a wait because they seem to only have 5 people working at a time - on Fridays and saturdays! I will NEVER patron this business again and would never recommend.

The man who works the desk (manager?) is so helpful and kind. But the nail tech was not great. Painted my nails unevenly, was weirdly personal, and it's been 5 days and a nail broke already. Also she filed two nails unevenly. Polish got under some nails and she left it (see attached) for the quality, it's way overpriced. $40 for the service is definitely not worth it.

Great nail salon. Staff were helpful and friendly. Establishment seems to be cognizant in following the Covid guidelines. I enjoyed my mani/pedi with Mimi. She was very thorough and made sure I had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this salon to men, women and kids who wants to experience a pleasant spa day. The reason why I only gave them a 4 star rating is because their doors weren't open at 9am which was my appt time. Their own staff had to wait outside for a few minutes until someone finally opened the doors. As I was checking in...now late for my appt my nail technician Mimi walks in. I take pride in being prompt. Especially, when it involves other people's time.

Worst gel manicure I have gotten! The photos say it all. The photos were taken after three days. Three days??!! $55.00 for three days? I will NEVER return to this spa. Thank goodness there is a nail spa in every strip mall . Make sure the same owners aren't affiliated. I got robbed by this establishment.

Tbh I don't leave many review but this was the WORST nail salon experience I've ever had. Truly save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. The chairs, walls and bowls were fithy (I know most salons aren't perfect but this one was completely disgusting). On top of that, the nail tech Tracy did my entire pedicure in 15 minutes, didn't do half of the things she was supposed to and worst off didn't do a top coat on my gel. When I told her she didn't she legitimately yelled in my face telling me that "she's the nail tech and would know" when I saw her not do it. She proceeded to FOLLOW me out to where I was paying continuing to yell and get in my face. Worst experience ever - SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND GO ELSEWHERE.

First time we gave this place a try on Valentine's Day! It wasn't busy which was perfect! We requested the spa deluxe (65 minutes pedi) and it was definitely a bliss!!! The hot stones. The scrubs. The lotion. The everything that came in the package was like our feet were in heaven! The workers were really nice and patient with our kid! Good nail color selections. The workers were diligent on beautifying our feet and gave them plenty of TLC! The reasons for 4 stars are: they proceed with giving my husband a pedi and I had to wait for someone to come which feels like 15 minutes. My feet were just soaking in the tub waiting and waiting... my husband's nail technician left him alone with the stuff on his feet for a little too long that made him to go "now my feet feel mushy and where is she? and this morning I saw a polish smear on my nail :( But we'll be returning!

I did not have a good experience as a walk in. I'd just arrived home from a two week vacation and my nails had wear and tear from the water wear. I just wanted to soak my gel and white powder manicure off as well as my gel pedicure. When I went in the salon with my husband the owner's children were greeting customers. That's fine. I love a family business and I love kids! The children were charming and sweet. The teenage son said they didn't have anyone available but that he could soak my nails. I declined nicely and started to leave but he said so charismatically "What you don't me to do it?" I chuckled and decided to let him at least start the process. My primary complaint is no adult greeted us. Said "hello" or "welcome." Perhaps it was because I was not getting a service redone (only a soak off) but I like to allow my nails time to breathe. If I thought the service was good I could and likely would have returned in a week. I like to change up salons now and again. The unique fact is that I happen to be a popular influencer with a large following who often recommends businesses in the local area. Regardless, all customers should be made to feel welcome. Anyway, the son was having a difficult time wrapping my nails though he was really trying. He was engaging and apologetic. No tech was coming to help him despite the struggle or kindly explaining to me as the client how long it would take for an experienced tech to take over. Eventually my husband (who previously owned one of the first Black owned nail salons in MD many years ago) said let's go. We will go someplace else. The owner then had who I believe is her husband to come and properly finish the job. This whole process took over an hour. It wasn't a pleasant experience. I was charged $25. When the son thought I was tipping him he declined which was sweet and thoughtful. My one star is for the children. The establishment seems to have a good rapport with their regular customers but as a new potential client and walk in I would not recommend nor would I ever return. They really have to work on welcoming new customers. If it's a "regulars" only environment don't take walk ins.

Sloppy nails, and this was AFTER I asked her to fix them.
    A. R.

I'm giving 2 for service (they accepted me as a walk-in), cleanliness (definitely important during COVID19), but my nails look awful. The Tech did a super sloppy job for $40 - see pics. She was using her nail to clean around the areas where she over painted but it didn't help because the lines around the nails are all messy. Also, some of my nails on my right hand don't match the length on my left hand. I'm likely not going back there again.

I'd just broken a nail around the corner, the middle of the day, so I went in to have my nail repaired. I'd actually just had pedicures with my daughter a few nights prior and had recieved EXCELLENT SERVICE $$$ The woman sitting in the second row says she will help me. I couldnt find the same shade as my toe nails so she graciously *sarcasm* asked if I just wanted to do a fill in and change the color altogether. I agreed. She didnt charge me to fix the nail and the fill in was around 30 dollars. Her tone and the way she assessed me the entire time wasnt a friendly one to say the least. Smiling but probing me with questions. So, why the one star you say? *que the jaws theme...* 2 weeks later, I'm on an out of state trip, and I go get a fill in. Guy takes off the polish, and under that replaced nail was fungus/ growth dead in the center of my REAL nail. Trapped moisture, he said, but he could seal it off and it should be fine. They have definitely lost my service and I haven'thad my nails done since. Why the

Make an appointment and wait til the 8 walk ins get served. Below is one DAY after my SNS manicure. If I could give this spa 0 stars I would. I was a customer for 8 services and never got one point for for services. One gal is/was good .. never had a decent pedi when she unavailable. Father and son duo have little man syndrome. NEVER AGAIN. I called today to voice my concerns and the son said.. I'm sorry you feel that way... not what can we do to make it better. I guess they have so much business .. they don't need mine. I will wait and watch .. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT!! NEVER EVER EVER again!!

I hadn't been here in a few years but I needed my nails done and didn't feel like traveling too far. Enter Yelp and off to Bliss Nails and Spa I go. The place has been renovated and the staff is completely new and diverse. I know, right? The decor is beautiful and the place is extremely clean and sanitary. When I arrived, I was quoted a 15 minute wait, but only had to wait 5 minutes. I got the SNS dipping powder nails and the tech, Jennifer, did a decent job. She even offered me something to drink. They have wine and other beverages, but I settled for water. I plan to visit again to try other services.

This is Day 1 of how my nails turned out. I didn't notice until I was outside in the sun light.

This will definitely be my salon while living in Md. Kim did my nails; she was patient, thorough, & gentle. I also had my eyebrows waxed, but cannot recall the name of the young lady who did that. I felt so welcomed from the moment I walked in until the moment I left!! They had low music playing and dimmed the lights. I loved the vibe!!!

I was a customer for about 5 months. No problem with dip powder until I decided to try the gel set…read morecalled "Tiana Collection" As Ken started the set, I noticed a burning sensation after the 2nd nail was done. I let him know it was burning and suggested he lower the UV light that he used to set the gel. He mentioned that the light only had 1 setting and that he couldn't change it. As he continued, I suggested to move the heated UV lamp further away from my nail bed as the temperature and position he had it in was burning my nail bed. I mentioned this as a reminder several times. When I got home that evening, I had to take Tylenol and add ice to my nails to sooth the burning sensation. At this point, I was concerned because the burning radiated from my fingers up my arms. Went the at shop opened, I contacted Ken to let him know what happened. He had me come in to remove the gel. I also asked for compensation, at least a percentage of my money back or have him do dip set later. Jennifer told me they took the gel set off, and took time doing my nails, so there was no compensation or refund of any kind. I suggested to file an insurance claim as this was an injury due to a product they provided. She told me insurance will not pay for it and she didn't see whether I deserved a refund. I have never experienced this sort of hospitality or service at any nail salon. I came here as a referral from a coworker. While still getting familiar with this area, I thought this place would offer great service. If you are thinking of getting nails done at here, be aware because it's not about customer service it's more about money for them. I always wondered why fee for services changed often when I got the same thing each time. Hidden fees no consideration for how they treat their customers. Deluxe pedi and gel with 2 horrible nail designs totaled - $145 and still burning from lamp. Go someplace else. UPDATE: Several hours later, Jennifer, the owner, left me a voicemail asking me to call her back. I returned the call believing she might offer an apology, discount, or some form of resolution. Instead, the conversation focused on my review and why I had posted it. She reiterated that because I chose the service, I was not entitled to any compensation. When I suggested continuing the discussion after she finished with her customer, she declined and continued explaining why she would not provide a refund, discount, or credit. This entire experience was disappointing. Mistakes and adverse reactions can happen, but what stood out to me was being told, "I'm not going to argue with you," when I was simply expressing surprise and concern about what had happened. I was not arguing at all, and the comment felt dismissive. I was left wondering whether I was being treated differently, possibly because I am an African American woman. Regardless of the reason, I did not feel heard or respected during the conversation. Reactions can happen, but how a business responds to a customer who has been injured or harmed by a service says a lot about its values. Unfortunately, I felt dismissed, blamed, and left without any Potential customers should be aware of my experience and make their own informed decision. Wow
