They likely would have lasted longer if I was not packing and moving and cleaning. Beyond how happy I was with how long my nails lasted and how well they were done, Jade is a also a wonderful person and I have greatly enjoyed our conversations. Such a joy to be around. I noticed fungus under one of my nails last week and was like crap-I need to go get them soaked off. Well, add busy life and I had a delay until today. I got them soaked off and 2 of them are pretty bad. She asked me where I got them done and I told her I get them done here!! Showed her the normal lady and chair that I sit in (my normal tech was doing other nails) As she's finishing my service, she tells me not to put anything on my nails. I totally understand and that is where I am devastated. How am I supposed to go to work looking like this???????? This was not my fault. I come to professionals for a reason!!! Then she charged me $35 for a soak off and manicure with no polish. This should have been FREE Ma'am. I just paid, left a small tip and left. I don't think they have a clue at how affected I am by this.

I visited Bliss Nail Bar 1 on Crain Highway for acrylic overlay…read more The application felt unsafe from the start: the acrylic was placed heavily directly on my natural nail/cuticle area (no proper tip support), it hardened in a way that left my nail bed overly compressed, and my cuticle area was trimmed/nipped during the process. I've gone back twice to get them to help the issue before the infection grew. I asked for a removal of the acrylic. Instead she used the machine to sand the acrylic deeper into my skin! I asked for it to be melted off she refused and said it was all off. Which wasn't true. Within days, I developed an infection that required antibiotics. Eventually, the nail fully detached and fell off. I have photos documenting the condition before/after. Ones the nail fell off I can still see the acrylic that was left! Please note it was HER (KATHY) IDEA TO REMOVE MY REAL NAIL AND PLACE THE OVERLAY! This was not a normal side effect--it was a serious complication that affected my health and required medical treatment. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision and so the salon reviews its technique and sanitation/cuticle handling practices. Customer Service is terrible from this incident!!!

Immediately after getting in my car into daylight, I realized my right hand was translucent on the tips. Looked like it needed another coat of gel. I went right back in. I said I'm sorry and politely pointed out the translucent gel on the 1/4 - 1/8 inch on all of my right hand's tips. I asked for another coat. She was reluctant. I said I can't go 2 weeks with mismatched hands like this. We went back to her station. She took out the high speed Dremel with the thin bit and took the gel polish off both hands making my natural nails super thin. Then re painted the nails. I said thank you. I'll see you again soon. She said "Next time you ask for someone else". I said "You don't want to see me again?" She said "No". I want to add that the first time today before the manicure gel issue she did not even ask if I wanted my nails cut down. She didn't even file them. She immediately put the 2st coat Gel clear on. So how is that a manicure? I booked a Gel Manicure and Lavender Pedicure. It cost me $140. I left her a $28 tip to be treated like this. I always tip 20%. I'm in shock. I am a nice person.
