I have been going to Lauren for quite some time now and always feel great after she gives me a massage. Before she starts, she always asks if there are any problem areas that have been achy or sore that she will spend extra time on. This benefits me greatly since I am a runner and tend to have tight hamstrings and IT bands. She has also suggested some great stretches for me to do after running to prevent these issues. Lauren is amazing. She knows exactly where to get in to work out the knots and tightness in your muscles and let you drift into total relaxation. I have been receiving massages for over 15 years and I have met only 1 other Massage Specialist as good as her. Their techniques are very similar. AMAZING is an understatement. I do crossfit, run, and teach bootcamp classes so I have to say I know how to run my body to the ground every so often. Beginning to end it was a great experience for this first time visitor. Lauren fit me in for 30 minutes on 2 hours notice for some "emergency" work. She is professional and asked all the proper questions to make sure she understood my history and what I needed today. I requested that she concentrate on a certain area and she did just that. The massage itself was very good - she was able to get deep into the knots. I liked that she was not "new-agey" and was very approachable. Today, I received a massage from Lauren. She was very warm and welcoming. The location was easy to find and her studio was beautifully decorated. Lauren went over the intake form with me and we discussed the best treatment for today. I am half way through a pregnancy and have had my back locked up for a week with severe sciatic pain. Lauren used just the right amount of pressure and her techniques were very effective. She has a great touch and fluid movement during her massage. I was truly putty when she finished, which was a difficult task considering my pain levels. Lauren spoke only when necessary during the treatment and kept the room at a very comfortable temperature.
