He said I was imagining they did not fit properly and he wasn't doing anything else for my teeth because they were done by the old practice! I even told him they would now be useless to me. He said to find Dr Kim and see her. THEY just screwed them up but see her? So, just so everyone is aware the old doctor is at Whitman family dental and is willing to see and care for their old patients. This guy bought the practice and plans to skate out of taking care of older patients issues. Sorry to knock a local business because I love the girls that work there! I'll honestly miss a few. But people need to know before they waste their time.

My twelve-year-old son on January 12, 2016, which was scheduled as a consultation for a possible…read moretooth extraction. After we were seated, forty minutes after our appointment time, an assistant asked whether nitrous oxide would be used, which I declined. The dentist then entered the room without washing her hands and did not introduce herself or confirm my son's identity. She did not explain that she intended to proceed with an extraction. She briefly referenced a "bite block" without clarifying the nature of the procedure. Without obtaining informed consent, the dentist administered Novocaine and exited the room, again without washing her hands. After the injection, an assistant presented an iPad for consent. I asked what I was being asked to sign and was told to "read the iPad." The dentist then returned and extracted the tooth. Post-procedure instructions were provided only after the extraction was completed. At no point prior to Novocaine administration or extraction was informed consent obtained. Additionally, I observed a lack of hand hygiene upon entry and exit, which was concerning as the dentist continued to see other patients. I raised these concerns during the visit. My feedback was dismissed and met with explanations rather than acknowledgment.

My son used to be terrified of going to the dentist but since we have switched to Lavoie Pediatric Dentistry he is no longer scared. Carin is FANTASTIC and did his cleaning today. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us some tips on how to maintain good oral health at the same time making us feel like we were talking to an old friend. She also made my son feel good about himself . He was smiling the whole time. Dr Lavoie is also wonderful. He talks to us in ways that we understand which makes me feel comfortable. The presence overall in the office was warm and calm. I trust this office and recommend them to EVERYONE! I drive 30+ minutes to see them. That's how amazing they are.

We went to two other "pediatric" dental offices prior to coming here that use video games and TV's as distraction techniques but neither, when it came down to it, knew how to comfort and work with sensitive children. My only constructive criticism is that the main lobby looks like an adult dentist office. I actually wasn't sure I was in the right place when I first got there. Painting the waiting room with bright colors and adding some toys might make it more kid welcoming. If they have the extra cash it might be worth it to hire an interior designer to make the waiting room more fun. But regardless, I highly recommend this place to anyone with kids!

After answering the phone with a kurt "hi" I was promptly asked "do you have insurance". I replied yes but had a question...before I could even complete my questions the receptionist told me they don't make appointments until they can verify my insurance. I said that was fine however i had a question (i have bcbs and delta dental and wanted to know if I could specify which would be the primary, etc.), she told me to hold but forgot to actually hit hold where I could hear her and another receptionist badmouthing me about "asking so many questions", "probably doesn't even have insurance", "ugh another new patient paperwork"....she then realizes that she didn't actually put me on hold and says she's going to transfer me to someone else.. The next receptionist picks up and says "can I help you", I tell her I was transferred to her and that i was trying to set up a new appointment. Before I could even start asking a question I'm asked again about having insurance which I reply that I do. She starts taking my information and is increasingly more and more rude as I answer her questions and reply with my own (like why do you need 2 phone numbers and an email address to "remind me of an appointment? - simple question, right?!). This place was highly recommended by several people I know however based off this first impression by their reception staff, I can't believe they are able to stay in business with customer service like this. Its a shame, I wonder if the dentist know this is how their patients are being treated.

Not only did they get to sit in the same room, next to each other, but they got to watch screens, have the hygienist explain absolutely everything to them as they went along, play with toys during the cleanings, and get a very cool goodie bag at the end! The hygienists and doctor were absolutely delightful and fun, but on top of that, they clearly are highly trained and know their stuff. I was very impressed with everyone in the office, very professional, friendly and affable. The kind of people I would love to hang out with sometime! The office was very clean and all safety precautions were adhered to. I had a procedure today by Dr. Jason Safer and was very pleased with his demeanor and professionalism. I can honestly say that I did not feel a thing and was out of there in no time. I also met his father Dr. Theodore Safer as well as his mother Cheryl, what a wonderful family! Everyone knows how hard it is to find a good dentist or doctor for that matter. I seemed to have lucked out finding this practice and will not be going anywhere else:)
