I had a root canal appointment scheduled and arrived expecting the procedure to be done that day. Instead, I was told they would not be performing the root canal. What was most frustrating was that I received no advance notice--no phone call, text, or email--even though the appointment had been confirmed and was on their schedule. Once I arrived, I was informed that I would need to undergo anesthesia and that another dentist would need to be brought in to perform the procedure. This was completely unexpected and not explained clearly beforehand. I've had root canals in the past and have never been told sedation was necessary, so the sudden change raised more questions than answers. The lack of communication, poor planning, and last-minute changes wasted my time and significantly reduced my confidence in the practice. While everyone I interacted with was courteous, the overall experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this office.

The office was very clean and all safety precautions were adhered to. I had a procedure today by Dr. Jason Safer and was very pleased with his demeanor and professionalism. I can honestly say that I did not feel a thing and was out of there in no time. I also met his father Dr. Theodore Safer as well as his mother Cheryl, what a wonderful family! I scheduled and confirmed an appointment as a NEW CUSTOMER for 11:15am, and was asked to arrive 15 minutes early at 11:00 for some NEW CUSTOMER paperwork, which I did. Upon my arrival, I was told that they "tried calling to move me up" even though this was untrue and I had spoken to someone the day prior to confirm the appointment. I then asked if they were unexpectedly busy and if the wait would be very long. The employee's response was "No, we're not really busy, but everyone takes lunch at 12 so you can't get your teeth cleaned until 12:30pm." You see, everyone in that office takes a lunch break at 12pm, so having a new customer's appointment scheduled for 11am means they have to wait 90 minutes, until after lunch, to get a teeth cleaning. No big deal, I have several hours to dedicate to a teeth cleaning... **I'm fully aware that many medical offices like this take a set lunch break, however the 1) lack of attention to detail when scheduling customers and 2) lack of remorse for wasting someone's day is appalling. I was never given an apology of any kind, and when I said I could not stay for the next several hours the response was "ok". There was no attempt by the Aspen Dental team to reschedule my appointment. *As a side note, when I indicated that I did in fact have insurance, the employee seemed a little surprised that I was using them for dental care as opposed to a real dentist. Seems like they may have done me a favor after all.

They told me I owed a bill for my son but couldn't ever pull it up or explain what it was for. I scheduled three separate appointments, and every single time, when I showed up, they told me his cleaning couldn't be done because of that same mystery balance the one they couldn't even find in their system. Each time, I asked to speak with a supervisor or have someone call me back to clear it up. I was told someone would reach out, but no one ever did. Meanwhile, their automated machine still calls and texts me saying my son is due for a cleaning. I've wasted enough time driving there for canceled appointments and getting nowhere. If this is how they handle billing and patient care, I'll gladly take my business somewhere more professional.
