Recently we both had tooth extractions. $300.00 per tooth. Our bill went up to over $1000.00. We were going to start paying more after the holidays. Unfortunately we received a letter notifying us that we were no longer allowed to go back until the balance was paid in full. Unfortunately Dr. Vanderpool only cares about the money. I do not recommend this practice. I also had a tooth pulled, was in pain for two weeks. I did get a quick phone call from another dentist in the practice. Dr. Vanderpool was supposed to pull the tooth but he has not been in the office too much. I would stay away from this dental practice. Unless you don't mind paying through the nose for sub par service.

She fixed my broken tooth and found a lot of other things that occur after 20 years of neglect. We are catching up on getting my teeth back in shape and she's changed my attitude about dentists (remember Dustin Hoffman in Marathon Man?). Everyone in my family has been going here for years. Just because my mom is too lazy to look elsewhere. - Every time you come into the office, you will notice a 75% new staff. Yep. New receptionist, new hygienists. And why is that? - She treats her employees like complete crap. AND WHILE SHE'S WORKING ON YOUR TEETH. The last time I was here, she was filling some cavities with a new hygienist, and instead of working together, it was like a constant battle of, "I'm right, I'm the doctor. You're the hygienist and wrong and you know nothing UGH." Two people fighting right over my face while there's a drill in my mouth? No thanks. - ALL of my fillings from her have cracked out of my teeth. ALL OF THEM. This happened when I was young most of the time, so I didn't really know what was going on. - Definitely never clear about what's going to be going on during the appointment. One time they told me I needed a "follow up" after a routine cleaning . . . sure, ok. I come back, sit in a chair for a WHOLE HOUR by myself, then they come back and tell me they're ready to drill my teeth? Wait, you mean I have a CAVITY? SINCE WHEN? - Sometimes there are dogs in the waiting room. Of a dentist's office. YEAH. You can't even bring dogs into most restaurants, WHY ARE THEY A WALL AWAY FROM DENTAL SURGERY? - Expect to wait an hour+ for some appointments. Sometimes 2 hours. It's like playing the lottery, you never know how long you're going to have to wait. - I've had jaw pains for most of my life, and I'm pretty confident they're related to me clenching my jaw in the middle of the night. Whenever I'd ask her about it, she'd just reply with some kind of "stop doing that" answer. Oh, thanks. There are a million other reasons why you should look elsewhere. Seriously, I'm dreading going to the dentist now that I'm older and can choose where to go. I'm terrified of getting my fillings redone, still have my wisdom teeth, and am pretty sure I need at least one root canal. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
