The center is tucked away in a tree covered business complex. When you walk in there is a great team waiting to welcome you in. There are many holistic beverages, and other items that promote health and comfort. I was visiting for the first time to float for 60 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to have a complimentary locker, robe, and sandals to change into. I was taken on a tour around the facility, which is larger than it seems. There are several forms of treatments available that promote wellness in several different rooms. My float started with a 15 minute full body chair massage in a quiet room filled with calm music and dimmed lights. It was very relaxing. Then I was escorted to the float room. I followed the instructions to use the ear protection, preventing salt water from sitting in my ear canals, and it worked well. I took a pre-float head to toe shower in the room as instructed as well. I was provided a blue floating head rest and began my float in the warm water. There was an option to float with or without sound or lights. I opted for no light, and played music. It took some getting used to relax and float in pure darkness. It was definitely worth experiencing. I took a post float shower in the room and was greeted by a staff member in the sitting room. Complimentary tea was prepared while I sat in my robe and relaxed. I will definitely be back to try the red light therapy and sauna. read more

It's rare, especially now and days to find a service or product that is worth the asking price. I can't really think of any. well blissful waters IS that one place! You start off with a quick rundown of everything and a brief tour, you get changed and then you get a 20 min chair massage. This 20 mins does not cut into your actual float time by the way. From there they lead you to your room with a shower and your floating tank. The float itself was so relaxing and peaceful!! It may not be for those who can't sit in silence with their own thoughts but for me it was amazing! First off the owner David is very nice! David and his wife a running the best float center I've tried in Houston! If you are not familiar with Float tanks or sensory deprivation tanks simply google "joe rogan sensory deprivation tank" and you will find a great video of joe rogan talking about its benefits. Blissful Waters Float Center truly encompasses the name blissful! This place is amazing and set up perfect! You get changed into your robe. You have a locker with key. You are provided a nice robe and slippers. You then go to this amazing room with massaging chairs. The room is very relaxing. You have a very nice water attraction to look at which really sets the mood. The massage chair does a great job at relaxing you right before you float. Once you are done with the massage you then go to your float tank. You shower in a very nice relaxing waterfall shower. After that you hop in the tank and float. If you are looking for clarity, sense of gratitude and overall happiness then I highly suggest you try out this location and go float! You will absolutely love it! After your hour is up you shower again then go chill and relax on the couch. You are given cold water and there is hot tea if you would like that as well. I really like the set up here. I purchased the Valentines package for a 1st time float. This was one of the best experiences!! A week later and I'm still telling people about it. The staff was phenomenal and we did not feel rushed at all even with a 7pm appointment time. The massage chair prior to the float was amazing. But the actual float was beyond explanation. This is an amazing spa experience for people who value their privacy and prefer not to be touched. The zero gravity massage chair is incredible - I've never fallen into such a deep relaxation so quickly from a massage before, and it puts you in a great headspace for your float. I had a tiny bit of anxiety about the fact that I was paying a stranger to put me in a box of water, so it took me a little longer to clear my head than I think it will in subsequent sessions. That said, I still reached Theta space before the end of my session. After your float you shower off right there in your private float suite and then head to the common room for a cup of tea - the anti-anxiety chamomile blend tastes lovely and will absolutely put you to sleep. Couple of notes for this who might be wondering: -You can bring a swimsuit but I don't recommend it. Floating naked allows you to totally "lose your body" if you want to. -At all times when you are naked you are alone in total privacy. -Nobody is going to touch you. -The pre-float chair massage is factored into the two hours they ask you to allow for your session, so you don't have to arrive earlier than your scheduled float. -The facility is immediately on your left when when you turn onto the road. GPS wants to take you back into the warehouse section of this shopping center, which, if your first visit is at nighttime can be pretty unnerving! It's hard to see but it's right there near the entrance. -When I was there, the facility was being operated exclusively by women. Other reviews indicate that the owner's husband/co-owner sometimes works the facility, but it would appear to me that they make sure women aren't alone in a "naked place" with only a bunch of men on the other side of the door. I appreciate that. -I have purple hair, and while I wouldn't recommend going for a float the day after coloring, I can report that the water did not do anything to damage my hair or mess up my color. I'm sure frequent floating would fade it, but it's not like I stepped out of the pod to find it turned green or melted off or anything. I look forward to my next session! read more

I've been making it my personal goal to visit each float therapy place in Houston (also checked out the bench mark for float therapy in Austin by visiting zero gravity institute) so here are the things I look for when checking these places out. 1. Is this a float pod or a cabin. (Pods are the size of a Mini Cooper whereas cabins are the size of a walk in closet) they both have their pros and cons In this case we have really good sized cabin I want to say this bigger than most places I've been to 2. Ambiance of the room you go into prior to the float The room is spacious and not at all cramped. You have the basis ready for you such as wax to cover your ears which is 100% better then those foam ones that tend to leak, a two towels and a hook to hang your robe. Shower of course is in there too which is set up overhead 3. Where the shower is located (trust me this is a big deal) As stated above in the same room with the float cabin which is a big deal 4. And if there is a place to get ready and adjust after the float Here you have a massage chair that goes into a recliner mode known zero gravity this is great as it gets you more relaxed and ready to float As many people I found out about blissful through a Groupon last year and due to construction issues it took a year for them to open. The whole time the owner melody was very transparent what was the status of the place and even refunded the Groupons to those who bought them. Well with most things great things come to those who wait and the wait was worth it! Upon entering the business you'll be either greeted by either melody or her husband they'll have you fill out the usual paper work with out making you watch an annoying video. After filling the paper work you'll be shown a private changing room and be provided slippers and a nice terry robe. A locker for your items will be provided and this is where you will change back into your clothes without worry of getting them wet. After changing you'll be taken back to a dimly lit room with massage chairs. This is a huge plus because the 15 minute massage gets you more in the head space for the float. Once your 15 minutes is up you'll be guided to one of two of the float rooms here you will shower and get ready for your float. Once in the cabin you have a lot of space. This is great if your like me at 6'2 and a pretty big dude. Not once did I feel cramp as I stretched out completely never touching the walls. The water here is perfectly balanced, I've been in tanks where you almost have slime on your after a while. Here that wasn't the case and in fact this was the first time I didn't have salt in my ears after the float. Once your time is up you shower like always and of course they thought of everything here and have a room for you to enjoy some tea and process your float. Overall this is the best float in Houston. The value is great especially if you sign up for a membership and the convenience of having one here in the north side is a blessing us floaters have long waited for. read more

The last 6mo have been some of the hardest I've had to deal with. Floating was a totally new concept for me, I had actually never heard about it until Blissful Waters and the owner Melody, which is kind of surprising seeing that I have been in the beauty/salon/spa business for close to 20 years. This is probably one of the best kept secret's for truly being able to relax and unwind. I have never really been able to truly relax during massages or manicures and pedicures(I get more relaxed going through an automated carwash in my car) but this experience was totally different! I was able to fully submerge myself in my thoughts but also let go of my thoughts and just relax and I mean completely let go and relax. Right when you get there (I that the location is somewhat secluded) you are greeted with a smiling face and someone that's very knowledgeable about the benefits of flotation therapy and they walk you through the whole process, (which is great for control freaks like me). Then you get a nice cozy warm robe, change in the changing room where there are lockers provided with keys for your belongings. Then you are led into a dim lit relaxation room with the most amazing massage chairs to loosen up before your float. After that you are led to your float suite where you shower under a rainfall shower head before your float and then it's the most beautiful experience for the next 60-90 minutes of your life. After your float you shower all of the epsom salt off, put your robe and slippers back on and head to the post float room where you can do an oxygen treatment(highly recommend), have a cup of hot tea and some alkaline water and come back to reality, a little Floating did something to my soul that day, I am hooked. I feel like I left their in a better place, I was completely un-wound and relaxed and had one of the best sleeps of my life that night. After that, you go to your float room which again was decorated beautifully and made me feel at peace. Once I was in the pod, I felt a sense of relief as I drifted into deep thought. So a co-worker specifically recommended Blissful Waters for stress relief over a massage -- she said it was the most relaxing thing she'd ever done. I was curious, and after finding a black Friday special decided to try it out. The center itself is tucked in a little professional plaza -- easy to find and to park. They start you out with a nice little tour of the facility, which has 4 "float tank" rooms and lots of assorted health products as well. They do a nice job of explaining the process, and some of the things to watch out for as a first timer. After changing into robes, there was a 15 minute relaxation chair massage; it was a little weird sitting in a room with someone in a chair in the dark getting a massage, but no big deal and it felt great. After, they led you to the large "tank" rooms to disrobe, shower, and wade into the pool of body temperature water. The lights lowered and music provided a nice ambiance; I opted to use the recommended "halo" float for my neck, to not have any unnecessary stress on my neck muscles in trying to relax. And trying to relax was a challenge! There are controls to turn the lights and music completely off -- or back on in case, like me, total darkness alone with your thoughts causes an unexpected panic attack. (You are literally in a few inches of water in a small room -- once you sit up and chill out, you remember this.) I opted to have light music on the entire time, and eventually relaxed...enough to wake myself up when I fell asleep at one point. It's a really amazing sensation, to totally relax and feel weightless. The only hard part of the entire process was getting out -- a gentle announcement lets you know your session will be ending, followed by the pumps pushing in water. The water is so buoyant it takes some coordination to lift out of the tank, but they warn you ahead of time and the handrails are placed to make it an easy process. After a quick shower with provided soaps and shampoos, you can relax with some alkaline water and tea in the float lounge, or optional shots of lemongrass and even an oxygen bar. I was surprised to feel even more relaxed and loose than after a massage, without any of the pain. It was awesome! Would highly recommend 90 minutes for the first time; I had planned on only 60, but the extra time allowed me to take my time and really de-stress and settle in to the process. I am looking forward to another session, and would choose this over a massage anytime. It's probably not for everyone (my husband won't even try it), but I feel more relaxed and my muscles felt better than after any massage I've tried. Hubby & I really enjoyed ourselves & will be repeat customers! The massage before you float is in a massage chair but it's not your average massage chair! You won't find this one at the mall or nail salon. The way it squeezes & kneads your whole body is an awesome feeling. After my float my back immediately felt better, I didn't realize my back was hurting before I came in because it's chronic pain so I'm used to it. I felt like I had just left the chiropractors office after my float. I loved how clean the entire building is & how they provide everything for you. They had everything I needed to remove my eye make up, wash my entire body & face, they even had Qtips! Lol. They carry & sell essential oils & CBD oil too. My husband and I tried this salt water float and I will say it was fabulous! I tend to hold onto stress and this REALLY helped. Once all the directions were given and I got in the pool it was a bit different, silence was everywhere! I heard my heartbeat. In a world of fast pace, immediate gratification it was so nice to slow down and just be. It took about 20 minutes of the hour to settle and after that...I fell asleep! Asleep floating in a pool of water! When I woke up I was so relaxed and so thankful for the time to just be quiet and be. I recommend this for everyone this life is too fast!
