Stopped by Blitzer's Premium Frozen Yogurt on Newport Rd and overall had a pretty good experience! It was definitely busy when we went, but the line moved surprisingly fast, which was a plus. They have a good variety of yogurt flavors and toppings, and the kids enjoyed being able to make their own cups. The only downside was that there weren't a lot of tables, so seating can be a little difficult when it's crowded. Customer service was okay--not bad, but nothing that really stood out. Prices: Frozen yogurt is priced by the ounce (currently listed around $0.53/oz), with other treats generally around $2-$8 depending on what you get. Hours: Generally 12 PM-9 PM daily, though hours can vary, so it's worth checking before going. Located in the 'Shoppes At The Lakes' on Newport & Menifee Roads near Stater Bros with plenty of parking, indoor & some outdoor seating. It's self-serve: just grab a cup, fill it with your favorite froyo and toppings, then pay by weight at the register. I was actually on my way to grab a smoothie but saw that this place offers them so I walked in. Unfortunately, they were out of Strawberry Banana, so I settled for the Triple Berry, but it was a bit of a letdown as it was made with water instead of frozen yogurt. Therefore, it had a watery, slushy consistency rather than being creamy so it lacked that rich flavor I was looking for. It's clear their specialty is froyo, not smoothies. Blitzers never disappoints! I come here on Wednesdays because they have no-weigh Wednesdays. It is such a great deal. My teenagers love it too because they don't have to worry about what you get. The small size is $5. We fill all the way up with Froyo then pile on the toppings! Service is great. There is a section behind the glass that has you be served by staff. Unfortunately, that could hold up the line and your froyo may melt. read more

Sadly this used to be our go to spot. We went for no weight Wednesday. It was so hot and crowded the ice cream was melted by time we checked out. Not only that but they apparently changed their no weight policy (which if it was posted was impossible to see due to the crowd) we found out at check out and ended up paying $10 for what should have been $5 ice cream soup. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

Blitzers Frozen Yogurt has become our little Wednesday tradition -- we never miss "No Weigh Wednesdays"! My son and I look forward to it all week. He even has his own nickname for it: the "penguin ice cream shop." The staff is always so nice, which makes each visit extra pleasant. The frozen yogurt itself is consistently delicious. We visited here while we were out of town visiting family and we loved this frozen yogurt spot. The place is clean and I was impressed with the young staff that were all friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly greeted as soon as we walked in. We tried some samples before making our choices and we all thoroughly enjoyed the toppings selection. I do NOT recommend this place. The prices are way too high for what you get. The service depends on who's working. The place has nice, spacious seating on the inside. It's handicap accessible which was very nice! However, they aren't very clean which is really too bad because they do offer some good flavors. If you ever encounter any problems, it's best to NOT say anything. The lady owner is VERY confrontational and unprofessional. There's no winning with her- no matter how you approach her. Hopefully, this review won't trigger her. If so, you will be able to get a glimpse of what I'm talking about. The good thing is that our experience, with this place, caused us to seek other options. We used to come here all the time but lately not so much. On Wednesdays they have run out of strawberries the last three times. There is a store next door!? And there also hasn't been whipped cream for what seems like months which was what made the cup. I asked tonight why no whip cream and was told the container broke? This place is really good. The yogurt is delicious and they have "no added sugar" options, along with low fat, etc. My faves are the "no added sugar" strawberry or chocolate. I also like the pistachio. They always have plenty of toppings. I usually get the fresh fruit toppings and chocolate sprinkles. The store is always clean and well maintained. The staff is always helpful and pleasant (very nice kids at this place). I have seen the woman who runs it (not sure if she's the owner or manager) but you can tell she tries hard to make everything run smoothly. Thumbs up! read more

First time visit and our family loved it! So many flavor options (including dairy free) and even more topping options including a dry topping station and a fresh topping station (fruits, boba, cheesecake, mochi, etc). The banana yogurt was my favorite, but the salted caramel and coffee were delicious as well. My husband couldn't choose and got a mix of a few flavors with a brownie cup! I have used the buy one get one free coupon on Wednesdays 2 times before and then the last says no not allowed and makes up her own rules and charges us more with the coupon than if we did the $5 fill your cup for two cups instead. 1 star read more

This place is a hit or miss. They use to have fill it up Fridays but the last couple of Fridays we have went in the employees will say it's regular price. The yogurt melts really quick (I'm assuming its machine is not cold enough) and they are usually out of certain flavors and their flavor options are limited and basic. Your able to serve yourself certain toppings and the toppings that are served for you are "the better ones" for example I love fresh strawberries on my yogurt and every time I have went in they are either out of fresh strawberries OR they serve me a scoop that has three slices of strawberries so I ask for another scoop and they will give me 3-4 slices of strawberries ... to the point were I feel embarrassed to ask for a 3rd scoop of strawberries! At other yogurt locations you're able to self serve yourself everything (even the better toppings) and I'm able to put as much strawberries and fruit as I want on my yogurt. I feel that this establishment started off great. I remember sitting next to the owner when she was crying that she was going to loose her store due to COVID. I went on FB and posted asking to support her store since she ran it and was always there and needed community support. but now it's ran by very young teenagers that appear to dislike restocking fruit, toppings and yogurt and that is why I give 3 stars. read more

Been coming here for years and am a loyal customer. However, we only come on no way Wednesdays now as the price per ounce is over 50 cents. They no longer have tasting cups, unless you ask for them behind the counter. Sometimes some flavors need to be tasted for consistency. Many times some of them are watery, icy, etc. Two yogurts can often run $15. It is just a lot of money for us. Another issue is the dreaded tip line on the iPad they flip around with the cashier staring at you, and you feel guilted if you don't tip for self service. I know this practice is becoming more common, but it really does shame a customer if they don't feel a tip is warranted for self service. The yogurt here is mostly very good. This time of year I enjoy the pumpkin. But the price has caused us to go elsewhere for a yogurt or ice cream fix. A McDonalds sundae is half the cost and in the same parking lot. read more

There are a lot of flavors, just wish they had taro! You are now able to add the dry toppings to your cup on your own. The "wet" toppings and fruit have to be added by an employee. It's a great after school spot to take your kids. You probably won't get parking right out front, but there's a lot in the plaza it's in. read more
