My boyfriend and I have tried to come here multiple times but the wait has been too long. Tonight we realized they have a waitlist you can get on online but we didn't even need it because there was no wait a little after 8pm on Tuesday night. Servers are very friendly and attentive here. Prices were very reasonable. My boyfriend liked his Mac and cheese and the burger I got was good. I do like my sweet potato fries to be thicker these were thin and crispy. Menu has lots of options. A standard PNW brewery with diverse food options and unique beers! The service was timely and friendly! It hit the spot after running the half marathon and many other patrons had the same idea! The place filled up on an early Saturday afternoon. Only downside was that there were several items stamped "Sold Out" on the menu. One of which I wanted to try that hadn't yet been marked "Sold Out" So that was a bummer to look forward to dish only to learn it wasn't available. This was my first time going, the spot was very busy but it was a holiday evening (Labor Day). We were still able to get seated relatively quickly, and they offer both downstairs, upstairs and outside seating. The food and drinks from start to finish were absolutely amazing. Everything was exactly as advertised, cooked perfectly and tasty. I can't wait to come back and try more off the menu. The passionfruit lemonade was my favorite, they used real passionfruit, not just the syrup. The place is relaxed and modern. Block 15 was well recommended by several friends, so I had to give it a try, since I was in Corvallis. What I didn't expect was that I would enjoy the food more than the beer. The pepper jack burger sounded like it was just my style, with lots of green chilis loaded on, so I got one of those. For a side, I went with a cup of beef barley soup. The brioche bun was nice and soft on the outside, yet perfectly toasted, and it held up very well considering how juicy the burger was. The burger patty was nicely seasoned and flavorful, as well. The beef barley soup was good, but nothing to write home about. I've been known to enjoy a stout beer a time or two, and since their Nebula oat stout was a national silver medal winner a few years back, I wanted to try that. The 'nose' was malty, as I would expect from a stout; but the lack of nitro brought disappointment with the first sip. Carbonation just doesn't seem right with a stout beer, as it lacks the creaminess a stout need. Overall, I found the Nebula to be harsh, with a finish that lingered more than I would have liked. Ambiance is what you would expect from a pub -- clean and comfortable. Our server also did a great job of making sure we were being taken care of throughout our lunch meal. I highly recommend Block 15 for some really good pub grub, but I had to knock a point off for the disappointing beer experience. read more

Do you remember a time when there used to be menu, not QR codes or counter ordering? Where you didn't have to bus your own plate even though you pay same price as sit down? And the servers were fast and nice and competent? I do and this place gave me the nostalgia feels. The food was good but really, the service was outstanding. Nothing fancy but just regular pub sit down style. I enjoyed my beer, we get Block 15 at our store. I tried their chicken special, smoked bbq chicken with hushpuppies and a light vinaigrette style coleslaw. My husband said his chicken sandwich was good and my son enjoyed the burger. Really loved this place. I ordered the Forager Burger which is their take on the Mushroom and Swiss Burger. I loved the burger, you actually taste the meat and it had the fresh off the summer grill smell. The fries were awesome. I could eat them on my own but loved dipping them in the sauces. We stopped by Block 15 for lunch on our road trip over to the coast. It was a hit for everyone in our group. We went in on a Tuesday which meant $1 wings, which most the people in my group got and they all said it was yummy. I got the Kimchi and rice bowl - and it was maybe the best Korean "bibimbap" bowl I've had at a restaurant. The employees were all friendly, the vibes were nice, and everything was clean. Block 15 Downtown Pub is one of those places where everything just seems to click--location, food, service, and atmosphere. We were there on a perfect summer afternoon while touring OSU's campus. It's within perfect walking distance from campus with street-side patio couldn't have been more relaxing. We chose to sit inside since it was a bit warm outside. A beautiful sunny summer day, light traffic rolling by - mostly calm biking instead of cars, and an easygoing feel to the whole scene. My teenager went for the Grilled NW Natural Beef Burger with bacon--served on a toasted Bread Stop brioche bun with shredded iceberg lettuce, sweet onion, pickle, and mayo. It came with a pub green salad and buttermilk ranch. The burger had great flavor and texture--the lettuce gave a nice crunch, the pickle and onion added just enough bite, and the bun held up beautifully without getting soggy. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the ranch dressing tasted like it was made in-house. My wife ordered the chipotle black bean enchiladas--flour tortillas filled with black beans, zucchini, tomato, green chiles, and seasoned rice, topped with smoky chipotle enchilada sauce, sharp cheddar, queso fresco, sour cream, radish, and cilantro. She raved about it for the rest of the day. I'll admit, once I saw it, I had a little order envy. The smell alone was incredible, and the flavors were layered--smoky, cheesy, and bright from the fresh veggies and herbs. I had the beer-battered fish & fries, made with wild-caught cod (I think) fried in Green Truck beer batter until perfectly golden. The fish was flaky inside with a light, crisp batter that didn't overpower it. The fries were spot-on--hot and crispy--and the tartar sauce was fresh and tangy. The real surprise was the slaw--hands down some of the best I've ever had. Perfect balance of creamy and tangy without being heavy. Portions here are generous without being over the top, and the prices feel fair for the quality. Our waiter (Miles - with the tiger socks) was friendly and attentive without hovering, and everything came out at the right pace. The only downside was a lack of a souvenir "dad" cap I could buy. Bummer. If anyone is read this, it's worth investing in having some of these for purchase - it's good low-stress advertising. It's rare to find a place where each of us is equally happy with our meal, but Block 15 nailed it. Great spot, great food, great vibe--I'd come back in a heartbeat. read more

I have been to this restaurant roughly 15,000 times (only a slight exaggeration). What keeps me coming back is Block 15's reliability. No matter what I'm in the mood for -- burger, salad, vegetarian, just a giant pile of killer french fries -- I know that there will be something on the menu I'm going to like. I appreciate how local farms are represented on the menu, and you can taste the quality ingredients. There are seasonal items to keep things relevant and fresh. The drink list is big and varied. While it's been relegated to a sort of default answer to "Where should we go to eat?" in Corvallis, the reason is clear: Block 15 is consistently serving up good food with good service. read more

I absolutely love this brewery/restaurant. I have never been disappointed by the food, the ales, or the service. I have eaten at tables and booths inside, tables under the tent outside, and at the bar. In every case, the servers made sure that my experience was outstanding. From recommending ales and food, to making sure I never had a glass that was empty too long, to simply friendly interactions, I always feel like a valued customer. I can recommend all the food I have had so far: the green chili burger, the bánh mì sandwich, the festival sausage sandwich, and the kimchi bowl. It has all been great. After visiting, I couldn't help but hover between giving this place 3-4 stars, but I think the service during my visit really makes it deserving of a 4. My food came out incredibly fast and my waitress was very friendly. I had the chopped pork sandwich and it was essentially exactly as expected. It was good, nothing remarkable, but an enjoyable sandwich. The fries were actually quite good, and I love when fry sauce is an option for dipping. My main issues are just that (1) the beer is mediocre and (2) this location's decor feels like a Buffalo Wild Wings or similarly tacky chain. The decor and ambiance really diminish the overall experience and quality of the food. I'd say the food is definitely better than a basic chain, but it's hard to notice how good the food is when it feels like you are sitting at Red Robin. Additionally, after having a handful of Block15 brews, I haven't found a single one I'd drink again. Out of their current options, I like the Scientifical IPA the most, but it was sold out when I went. I think this location is still a decent place to visit, and the prompt and kind waitstaff should make for an enjoyable visit. read more

Donlan at the bar was amazing! Very much the communicator every restaurant/bar would want! There was also a female who was very cool. We ordered 2 beers, both good. I got the Tuscany Chicken, and the husband got the Ham and Cheese. Both were really good, and we took home 2 bottles of a Bourbon stout with a fairly low ticket (we're outcasts from the DC area- currently living in Bend- which is too expensive for everything). Easily the best meal for the best price, and the hosts were very friendly. 100% recommend. (Oh, it was about 1400 on a non game day so although busy we easily got 2 seats). read more

Always a great dining experience at Block 15! At our most recent visit we were seated promptly and were waited on by a very friendly and helpful wait staff who informed us of the daily specials and indicated that we were there during happy hour. The happy hour specials are a great value, and so tasty! This time around we enjoyed a sampling of appetizers - wings, the magic mushrooms, the spinach and artichoke dip, and the hushpuppies. We also tried out the kombucha and non-alcoholic cocktail - all was fantastic! I really love the creative variety on the menu, and look forward to exploring it further. Block 15 is a great option for smaller parties as well as larger ones (I'd say that a comfortable limit is a party of about 7 or 8). There are tables downstairs as well as upstairs, and in my experience they're happy to seat you upstairs or downstairs upon request and if the space is available. Although Block 15 is a brewery, it is a nice location to bring your family - it has a bright, clean, and welcoming atmosphere. read more

Having a beer never felt so good. Two fun locations, but the taproom on Deschutes Street is absolutely lovely. It boasts a huge patio and view of Mary's Peak. It's rather romantic in the evening while the sun is slowly ending her shift and starting to descend. It's also a casual dining experience or an inviting environment to catch up with friends. The beer is the very best around town. They know IPAs, and you'll see they offer a lot of them. Flagship ones, as well as a plethora of rotating ones. I can't get enough of the Fluffhead Hazy IPA. It's perfectly balanced and dances on your tastebuds with every sip. Of course, if IPAs aren't your thing, you can explore their Stout, Pilsner, Blonde, or Pale Ales, too. They also have 2 Towns cider, Compton Cellars wine, house-made root beer, and kombucha from Happy Mountain if you're looking for NA options. There is a full bar at their downtown location for those looking for a cocktail. Let's talk about the food. I absolutely love the offerings on their menu. They have something for everyone. There are so many yummy vegetarian options that will kickstart your heart. The French fries are cooked perfectly, and you can even add special seasonings such as sea salt and rosemary or garlic and parmasean. Dipping in ranch is a must. Their BBQ tempeh is divine and seasoned just right with the perfect amount of crunch from the slaw. Their veggie burger is also a favorite. House made and great texture.
