He decided to try the sandwich. I got the boneless wings with hot sauce and we ordered Cajun tater tots to share. When we went to pick up, I was greeted right away, promptly checked out, and we were a little early, so the food wasn't quite ready. Several waitresses came by to check in with me while I waited and that was great to know they were on top of our order. Got home and opened all of our goods and were surprised at the generous portion sizes!! The chicken fried steak on the sandwich was pretty big, and my husband enjoyed it a lot. He said the only thing missing was a side of gravy. Noted for next time, order a side of gravy. The boneless wings were great. The hot sauce has a nice kick, but also a sweet undertone (apple or pineapple, perhaps?) that I really enjoyed. I could only eat half of the wings because the portion size was so big. I'm saving them for a midnight snack. The large Cajun tater tots were also generously portioned. We could only eat half of them, so they are also being saved for later. The Cajun seasoning is great. Not overdone and not too spicy (we were a little worried because my husband doesn't eat anything spicy) but he devoured them and said they were awesome. All in all, we'll definitely be back. We didn't drink, but it looked like a great atmosphere and they had a great selection of drinks, from what I saw. Good music playing, too.

The Porch Light Pale Ale "taste great" and it is a go to as a starter and a finisher. The Mexican-Style Vienna Lager & the two juicy IPA's (Gushy & Juicy) are very good as well, even though I am not much of a hazy/juicy fan. For you sour fans the Lovers Sour will love you long time! ;) And they have a heavy hitter the 9%er, Exit 333 DIPA! The River Otter Red, nice, tasty malty red beer, with low IBU and 5% alc, along with the other beers on tap as well as their stouts (these change throughout the year as well) with some in cans and crowler availability. Food is good with appetizers, wings, nachos, burgers, pizza, sandwiches, (during lunch time), mac and cheese, crispy chicken sandwich, quesadillas, etc. Two sides of the seating for the brewery, both can seat families, many show up, outdoor seating as well and, they serve cocktails. But sometimes you walk into a place, feel the vibe, enjoy the situation, settle in with the locals, and tell yourself that life is good. I love a good local bar. As long as the locals are friendly, the service is decent, there are food options, and the place isn't disgustingly dirty, I am in. Alpine Tavern checked all of the boxes. Add in a horseshoe pit in the back and cheeseburgers on the menu, and Alpine Tavern is worth a stop in you ate in this neck of the woods.

I have read many reviews online, and happened to be in the area around dinner time on a Saturday evening. We showed up at the right time, it wasn't quite packed yet. After we sat, a lot of locals started packing, in, and out. Even though they were so busy, the service didn't lack one bit. The women were on top of their game, and we had excellent service.
