My #2 monster locked our bedroom door; thankfully he was not in the room. I called around and found Locks Block's to be the lowest in price. He (David) said he would arrive in less than 30mins (IB to CV) and would unlock the bedroom door and even give me a key (awesome since we never had a key to start with). I was at work and David said he would do the work and call me after to run the card over the phone. No other place would start the work until I paid them. I understand "pay first", however having to wait until the office opens to fax me a form isn't awesome. David was happy to take my payment over the phone and I will keep his number in my contacts from now on. If I ever need another locksmith won't need to call around! I have used these guys at various times over the last six years and they have always been honest, fast and reliable. A neighbor recommended them to me for a lost car key and I found them to be slightly less expensive then other locksmiths and a LOT less expensive then the dealer. They showed up right away, fixed my problem, and didn't try to hassle me on the price either. I used them again this summer for an elderly family friend who had lost the keys to his car and was getting ticketed for not moving it. Block's Locks showed up four hours sooner than anyone else claimed they could make it (my friend had already tried calling around from the phone book) and did it for two-thirds the cost. My Go To Guy!! This man is not only incredible he was a lifesaver! I called him in the morning. He was booked, but, said he would call me before he came and would fit me in. On that day I received the call at 3:30. Larry told me he would be there within 20 to 30 minutes, he was there within that amount of time. He replace the ignition in my car for what he had quoted me on the phone which was significantly less expensive than the other quotes I had received. I received two coded keys, plus an extra key to my car door for half of what the dealership would have charged me . Not only was he professional, on time, he is a very kind man. My friend doesn't use Yelp so I will leave a review on her behalf. My good friend had an ignition lock problem on her 2004 Chevy Malibu and I had her call Larry. He sent Dave out to her work and fix the ignition problem for $200 LESS than all the other places were trying to charge her. I told her that Block's Locks sets themselves apart from the rest and was extremely satisfied with her new working ignition lock. no more leaving the key in the ignition and unplugging the battery cable. Awesome service! I have 98 Cadillac Eldorado I lost the door/trunk key too. And no spare. First I went to the dealer and got a new key cut based on the Vin but that key turned out not to work and the dealer wanted to charge $202 per lock to recode the locks on my car. Block's locks was able to make me a new key that works based off the code for my vehicle. The service was fast, the price was reasonable, and the guy is fair. I highly recommend them if you need a new key or get locked out. read more

We're visiting SD from NorCal and sadly lost our keys in a Home Depot parking lot :( after calling ford dealer they directed me to a gentleman named Larry. He was quick to meet us at home depot and make us a replacement key. $150 for key but considering we had no other choice it was worth it. Larry was great, friendly & efficient! read more

Our kids's minivan had been having ignition key issues that finally caught up to them. The key wouldn't turn and they had to leave the van overnight at a gas station pump. Fortunately it wasn't vandalized. I got a referral from a trusted mechanic to call Blocks Locks. Larry was there within the promised time and quickly replaced the ignition key lock cylinder, good as new. The only issue is that he may have priced the cylinder mechanism just a bit on the high side, but it was worth the cost considering the predicament we were in. Called another company who said they would be here in 15 min & charge $15 for coming out - then they would tell me how much they would charge to get me into my house. 50 minutes & 3 phone calls later I cancelled them & called Locks Blocks. What can I say, the service I got was just great! Got my only car key stolen and the Ford dealer referred me to Block's Locks. Gave them a call and was greeted by Larry. It didn't take too long before he got to where I was and immediately got to work. Literally took about 8-10 mins until I got a key made. It cost me $140 for the key which was pretty good.
