Absolutely love Shelby she did all of my family tattoos! However, the guy up front was a complete asshole to us. He rudely told me to stop walking over his freshly mopped floor while he was continuously walking on it. But he thought he could say that because he was the boyfriend of an artist. Shelby was just awesome. After 6 months of army training ending on Fort Leonard Wood I was anxious to reward myself for such an accomplishment and what better way than to get tatted?! I scheduled with Shelby the afternoon right after my AIT (Advanced Individualized Training) graduation. She was flexible knowing that I didn't know the exact time the army would release me - soo appreciated. She took her time and did really clean lines. I wanted to wait until the healing process was complete before writing a review since I've had other tattoos look great initially but heal rough and not be as crisp later. THIS WAS THE BEST HEAL EVER. She did 2 tattoos on me, one to mark my army affiliation and one to mark my MOS (military occupational specialty), shown. Both were healed extremely fast and remain as crisp as the day I got them. I believe her not rushing me through and staying focused made for such perfect tattoos. Danny did a quick simple tattoo in my grandmothers handwriting. I asked to move it around 2 or 3 times but he was willing to put it anywhere I wanted it, since in the end it'll be on my body for a lifetime not his. Third time was the charm. I got my very first tattoo here, Cat is awesome. There was never any pressure to do anything I didn't want or rush me into getting my work done. I told him what I wanted and the day of my appointment he had 3 different choices for me to choose from. It was really cool for him to do that because I told him what I wanted, but it was plain and I wasn't sure what else to add. So he took it upon himself to make sure I had things to choose from and if I didn't like it, he was willing to draw up something else. He made my first tattoo experience a good one. Quick and easy, for sure. A year later, I went back and added a little more to it. My husband has some work from cat now, too. I will definitely be going back to get the rest of my arm done! Now that I've gotten other tattoos, I had to come back to this place and lower the review. 1. The guy that tatted me up had a very "heavy hand", that tattoo was more painful than the full sleeve I got (which is painfully detailed and colored). Some permanent scarring was left on the tattoo as well, you can see some rather erratic bumps from the scarring. 2. On top of that, this guy was watching a horror movie while I was getting tatted. Imagine feeling like you are being stabbed by a needle while hearing someone being stabbed to death with a knife on TV. 3. Although he did fix the stencil until I was satisfied, he seemed rather annoyed by the fact that I kept asking to change the way it was positioned. This is something I am going to have for the rest of my life, dude... Not sure why I praised him on my initial review. Perhaps it was due to the fact that I was ecstatic about my first tattoo. The end product came out good, not great. Especially due to some scarring left over due to the heavy hand. read more

Best shop in St. Roberts - hands down. This is one of the most talented and down to earth tattoo shops I have ever been to. Cat Spencer just put an amazing piece on my left ARM today. A week ago, he did touch ups on 5 other pieces of mine, including sleeve fill.. which he free handed. It all came out amazing. You won't catch me at any other shop in the area. In fact, this is probably the only shop I will go to period. I'd definitely travel for a weekend sesh to get blasted. Only place I would recommend to anyone. read more

Have gotten a tattoo and a navel piercing here and am happy with the outcome of both. I did not have any issues with the tattoo, but was very frustrated when trying to get the piercing. The first day I came in and the only piercer was not in that day. I came back on a Wednesday when they told me the piercer would be there and he had called in sick. The third time I called to make sure he was in and I finally got it done. While I love the piercing, it was a lot of trouble for the very short and easy piercing process. I went back to Blood Brothers today for a new tattoo and was told I needed to schedule a consultation and to come back a few hours later. A little bit later I received a phone call saying the artist I had an appointment with had called in sick. I decided to try Top Gun just down the street instead and was infinitely more pleased with the service and consistency and prices. They do great work here, but I do not think I will return after all the problems I have run into when I can go somewhere else and actually get a tattoo or piercing done right when I want it. read more

So I made an appointment on a Tuesday for Friday of the same week... when I got there I was all amped up to get my tattoo and I had my photos of what I wanted.... and then they were like, Oh sorry that guy went home for the night. You can make another appointment if you want. Yeah right!!! I was so disappointed. Went down the street to Blue Monkey and I couldn't be happier. I guess it was fate. It's especially bad in a military town where people expect you to have a certain level of attention to detail not to miss appointments. I don't like to give bad reviews but... oh well. read more
