The advertisement for this particular florist was good and they promised delivery on Sunday. Come Monday, come Tuesday no flower's. However, each time I called I was told they were on the way. I had a last minute (my bad) wish to send birthday flowers to a dear friend in Birmingham and I live in California. I started my search on YELP. Bloom and Grow was recommended as were others, but there was just something about it that made me go with Bloom and Grow. Ada answered the phone and with a few simple, insightful questions she helped me describe what I wanted. We also "looked" at the YELP photos and narrowed the style. She promised to work within a budget and stay in touch as she created the arrangement. At the end of the phone conversation, I felt like I had found my long-lost friend! She was wonderful. I was initially very excited to purchase flowers from here. The owner seemed very nice and accommodating on the phone. However, was insistent about using her delivery service. I had requested I pick up the flowers from the shop so I can see them prior to the event. She stated they went by appointment only. I had again said I'd rather pick them up. She then stated I'd be a better fit with a different florist who was closer and may have better price for delivery. She completely disregarded the fact that I was requesting to pick up the flowers so I can see them in person before taking using it for the event.
