I was very satisfied with the esthetician who did a great job listening to what I wanted and shaping my eyebrows beautifully. I will be returning to use the remaining ten visits on my wax pass. I'm glad I bought the wax pass several years ago before prices increased. I was told that the shop is working on being able to validate parking for the structure next door. She did a great job with my foot massage, and usually when I receive a spa service, I don't talk, but we both talked and we're engaged in conversation the entire 30 minutes of the massage. But it's also for the eyebrow threading empire that is Eastland Center. There are no fewer than three separate eyebrow threading places in this mall. Two are in kisoks, and the third is a full-fledged salon (hidden in the least traveled corridor in the mall, but super convenient in terms of quick escape routes, which will be discussed in more detail in a few seconds...) For all I know, Eastland Mall might be to eyebrow threading what NYC's Little Italy used to be to restaurants: lots of different storefronts, but only one kitchen. Or these places might actually be real competitors, which would explain the crazy emphasis they place on giving out loyalty cards. Either way, all three get the job done really well and at a good price--- standard eyebrow threading is $8 across the board. I generally pick which one to go to on any given trip by quickly cruising through and determining which has no wait list. If I happen to go on a Saturday evening, I choose the salon, because Eastland Center can be a little...exciting...on the weekends, and that one is closest to the mall exit and it's the most private. From what I've seen, none of these places has a public phone number, and they don't take appointments. But they do take credit cards. And tips are appreciated.
