Pros: The classic manicure I received looked great for an entire week. Salon well lit and I was able to get in and out quickly. Cons: The nail tech put the cuticle trimmers aside for next customer without cleaning them. The device people put their hands in to set after a gel manicure was dirty. read more

Another nail salon really ruined my nails and refused to fix it when I asked to fix the broken nail! I had it for 1 day! Happy nails and spa, fixed it for me, did a great job and DIDNT CHARGE ME!!!! Was quoted a price o of $60 for Builder Gel. I wanted a French Tip polish.. Anthony obviously didn't know what he was doing. He applied tips instead of forms, leaving my nails thick like acrylics (YUCK).. Applied white tip polish unevenly (thicker/wider on one side of the nail than the other) Spoke very poor English so he was unable to communicate with me. Then charged me $80 because I had a "manicure". WTF!? Because he soaked my fingers before he started? That's the only thing that was done extra. Won't go back and Caution you, if you go in to determine how much a service will cost and anyt extra steps too. the the $20 naik water bath read more

I walked in on a whim one day after my Pilates class was over because I had seen them in the plaza before and really wanted to get my nails done. So glad I stumbled in because I now am a loyal customer. Everyone is so kind, the experience is unlike other nail salons, and you get served with a free drink. It was so cute. Had Kenny today for first time in the nail salon. He listened to what I asked of and made sure to clean under my set not to leave any residue from the acrylic . Fast and efficient work for this picky customer. I know what I want and I felt like it's great to know ppl actually listen to what u want service wise. Would recommend this place to anyone. I made a 6:15 appointment. I arrived at 6:10. I was not being serviced until about 6:40. What's the point of making an appointment? My pedicure felt rushed but she did a OK job. My dip manicure also felt rushed. My nails aren't all shaped the same and not enough shine. The whole time I was in the nail salon there was a loud woman complaining. She took the enjoyment out of it. I couldn't relax. She was loudly complaining about the shape then the color then everything else. I didn't hate it although I was suggest going mid day when it's less busy if you can. read more

It's that time of year so hurry up and book your services for the holidays!! They offer gift certificates which is a great gift or stocking stuffer. This place is so cute and comfortable and you will feel safe upon entering and during your services. I have been coming here for awhile and I am never disappointed. The entire staff makes you feel special and you walk out feeling relaxed and looking good. Today I chose the Volcano Spa pedicure and let me tell you it is a MUST try if you haven't had this one. Wow there are 4 steps and your skin is so hydrated and soft. The massage chairs along with the massage from your nail tech is such a treat! First off they are really nice as far as environment and customer service so I like coming here. Normally, when I go here I look for one specific nail tech but, the last time I went here it wasn't the best since he wasn't there. Currently my nails have bubbles and they are chipping as we speak. It's only been a week with just normal day-to-day wear. I usually get a clean and natural looking shellac, French tip with a quarter inch extension in a round almond shape. After being a loyal client for nearly two years, my recent encounter was appalling. On December 26, 2024, Anya canceled my fill-in appointment due to illness, which I understood. However, her dismissive and hostile response when I tried to reschedule was unprofessional and rude. When I reached out about my nails lifting and needing urgent attention, Anya's reply was focused on her personal situation rather than my needs. After escalating the issue to the owner, I was contacted by someone named Maggie, who they claimed was the salon manager yet for the 1 1/2 years I was there never had I heard of said manager nor a manager existing at all. Conveniently enough magically, there was a manager to handle my complaint when I contacted the Abby. Maggie messaged me who not only refused to offer a solution but also told me I was no longer a "fit" for the salon. This unprofessional dismissal ended my long-standing relationship with them, and I was left without the services I had already paid for. What was worse, there is a toxic, "mean girl" atmosphere at this salon. The staff is fake to your face and talks behind your back. They make the client out to be in the wrong falsely implied that I had made unreasonable demands in the past, which is not the case. I have text messages to proof my assertion, Instead of taking responsibility for the subpar service, Anya deflected and failed to offer a constructive solution. They stick together, no matter who is in the wrong. If a client voices a legitimate concern, the staff shuts them down, and as soon as any complaint arises, they retaliate by refusing service. This entire ordeal caused significant emotional distress and financial loss, as I had to seek another salon for repairs at extra cost and inconvenience. I was never offered a chance to resolve the issue, nor was I compensated for my losses. If you're considering this salon, be cautious. The lack of professionalism, the toxic environment, and how they treat their clients is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Sugarcoat Nail Loft.

I picked a color that wasn't that sparkly and they showed me what it would look like and then let me test to see if another one would be better. And I ended up picking the color pictured. They told me they would have to cut my nails shorter for the tips. And sized the tips well for me. I think the shaping could have been more coffin shaped and look more square here, I also think one of the nails on one hand is longer than the other hand. I still love the color and i'm 2 weeks and and they are holding strong and looking great. It took about 1 hr and 20 minutes all together with wait time and finishing the nails. $45. Happy nails is the best nail shop in metro Detroit area. They are super clean make sure you are happy with your services. They understand the value of their client and appreciate each and every single one of us. I've been coming here for over 10 years I've tried other nails salons because I drive about 45 mins to get here but have never found any like this gem. The owners Henry and Amy make sure they you walk out with a smile on your face every time. The vibe in the salon is super relaxed. I am super happy with my service every time I walk in there. I always get a manicure and pedicure with Hanna. She is the absolute best!! She always gives a long massage and takes her time with everything! I've never had a more relaxing, well done manicure and pedicure (I get the gel with chrome). She always has a smile on her face and you can tell she puts her heart into her work. You NEED to come and see Hanna!!! The salon is fantastic and the atmosphere is relaxing... staff is always very welcoming. A five star salon for sure! read more

I have been going by Ryan for years now and he is the best nail tech there is. He is efficient with the time you are there and can do anything exactly like the picture you show him. My dip nails are never too thick and the perfect layer is left on. My nails last over 4 weeks when he does them too!
