This company charges a premium for inferior products and shoddy installation. They use materials and equipment which won't make it past a few years and survive by obtaining preferred status at our development. They should be ashamed. Our irrigation system has deteriorated in less than 4 years. The controller used was not tolerant of the desert environment and the tubing has disintegrated, resulting in total plant failures. Their "warranty" is minimal--less than a year for plants and materials. read more

With just 2 years since my home was built and my landscape was performed by your company, it is extremely surprising to confirm that the value vs cost associate with your service in comparison with other vendors is extremly expensive. Wow. Where do I start. Price? Way more than most. The issue I have is with faulty products installed. One year into my new home in Robson Ranch, I saw that that the sprinkler dip system had a leak. I dug up the line and saw numerous holes, almost like a soaker hose, They came out and cut out about a foot of the line and patched. Now two years into my new home, I have had 8 different leaks that needed patching, one under my driveway, and another under a fence they installed. Because I had another another landscaper do some upgrades...it voided our warranty. It was beyond the one year warranty anyway...but they were advised of the faulty drip line within the warranty. Way too expensive and NO customer service. In a new contract, they also claim to install 5 gal plants, but at best they are a quart or gallon size. My neighbor also had the same complaint, saying they billed for 5 gallon plants, but installed 1 gallon plants. Please do your research, A couple of pics as an example. We talked with Blooming Desert several months ago for a backyard/front yard project. They are doing several homes in our neighborhood and thought it would be an easy process. Oh, and their crews leave the streets a mess and block houses with their trucks. 2 times the garbage truck missed several houses because Blooming Desert was blocking the cans. Besides that, uncovered dirt and debris is left all over the street and wind blows the dust everywhere. Anyway, a designer visited us at our property and was friendly in communicating what we like and disliked for an outdoor living space. We provided several photos and mock up drawing of what we liked for a backyard pool space. We were told we would have a 1st draft drawing finished in a month and to meet at their office. His initial estimates for the project were very high. $300K+ for simple pool project. We still wanted to see what he would come up with in a month. A month went by and we didn't hear back. We sent several emails over the next few weeks and still... nothing.... Ghosted!! Luckily we did not waited for them and had already been talking and eventually signed with another company that has much better communication skills. Oh, and the price is a fractions of cost of what Blooming Desert guessed it would cost. We are thinking Blooming Desert ghosted us because they didn't like that we already had a mock up plan of what we liked for our outdoor space, voiding them of their design fee and cookie cutter design that they've chose for our neighborhood. read more

You have taken payment for products never installed and that were likely never intended to be installed for which you have yet to provide a refund. From start to finish the construction team, led by Kenneth Lindsay, took care of every detail. They had the knowledge, the skills, the people, the tools and the materials to get the job done right, done on time and done on budget. They listened and responded to our needs and our requests. They really cared about the quality of their work -- which seems to be a rare thing these days -- and made sure that we were happy. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Blooming Desert should be ashamed of their lack of regard for customers and planting trees that have no business in Arizona backyards.11 years ago they planted 2 Sissoo trees in our backyard one died after 5 years the other seemed to thrive until the last microburst now it is swaying and the roots have become exposed and are very invasive. One would think a responsible company would know about the plants they recommend and the growing patterns. B.D. planted 4 trees on our property and now 3 have either died or have broken to the point they needed to be removed. I highly recommend you avoid this company if zero stars were available B.D. would have earned it! Now 10 years later it has cost us almost as much as the original cost to remove the Sissoo tree that they planted and if you add in the other two trees we had to remove actually it cost us more than the initial install. Shame on you Blooming Desert! Your reply totally ignored the fact that Sissoo trees have no business being planted in a backyard. I had a few different companies out to give me quotes for my backyard and pool. One severely over quoted me and the other never got back to me with a quote. I had the best experience with Blooming Desert. From speaking with Carlos on the phone in June of 2020, to meeting in person to discuss ideas in July, and then having a virtual meeting to go over the architectural design and make adjustments in August it was all fantastic. Carlos told me they were booking at the end of January and I signed my contract and paid my deposit. He was in touch periodically when necessary and my project actually started about a week early. Kenneth's team was there at 7am on a Monday morning where it rained and snowed (yes, in Scottsdale) that day. Kenneth went door to door to let my neighbors know about my project and to give his card if anyone had any questions or concerns. My neighbors said I had the best people at my house when they'd see them coming and going. Crews were at my house at 7am daily, and often until 5:30, until my project was complete. My landscaping was all done within a week! Kenneth's team is awesome and everyone really cares that things are done properly so there are no drainage issues. Kenneth has excellent communication as well and he was gone a couple days and had Luke overseeing my project. Kenneth introduced me to Luke and he was great as well. My pool took a bit due to some custom tile I wanted that was on back order and of course shipped from Texas during their blizzards. Dan managed my pool project and he was also an excellent communicator and kept me informed every step of the way. He even came right out at 7am the morning after I had a question I texted him about my pool once it was filled. I had great interactions with Donna who does the billing and Geo in the service department as well as I've had my 30 and 60 day checkups on my yard. Everyone has been great and you definitely get what you pay for. I'd say this is my first project I've ever done where I didn't feel like I was the one managing it. It was great. Stay away! Thieves! Bait and Switch. Do not listen to their damage control responses here. They are the absolute worst. They dug my pool in the wrong place! The electrician came up to me and said why am I installing electric for a Ramada behind your spiral staircase to roof. I said that's a good question and after a little investigation sure enough, the plans were read incorrectly and the entire design had to be reworked. And we had to pay for the up charge! They still owe us parts and they disappeared. There are so many other reputable companies and I regret jumping the gun with this one because they said they could get the project done faster. Brent - I think you missed one of the bigger points. Your subcontractor didn't fix the issue the day they were at property. I too have pictures and the putting green wasn't flat 5 minutes after they left. Additionally, my pest company has inspected the area twice with absolutely no evidence of borrowing animals. We had Blooming Desert plan and install all our landscaping and pool for our new home in Wickenburg Ranch. Michael did a great job in laying our our concept and add a few things we overlooked. Greg and and landscape crew were unbelievable in their work ethic and attention to detail. What a great crew and the yard looks amazing with the rock and placement of all the trees and plants. They worked hard each day they were here. Whenever I spoke with them they were very polite and explained exactly what they were doing. They made every effort to clean up the site at the end of each day. Mike kept in constant contact, reporting progress and answering questions. We struggled with delays due to bad weather but they didn't leave us hanging, they were back on site as soon as it dried up. Blooming Desert did an exceptional job on my backyard project. We added a fully customized design that included a 16' bar, outdoor fireplace, fire pit, multiple seating areas, fully renovated pool and a "one of a kind, conversation starter" customized outdoor light fixture. Everything from the layout to the design was 100% unique to my project and developed by BD. To say this is a creative group is an understatement. We thought we knew what we wanted but BD was able to take our descriptions and turn them into reality in our backyard that was way better than we had ever thought they would be. In a day where contractors are notorious for cost overruns and delayed timelines is was refreshing to have a company "do what they say they were going to do in the time frame they said they would do it in. Blooming Desert went above and beyond with what we needed. We decided to do a desert theme in the backyard unfortunately the ground didn't want to cooperate. It was too wet for the cactus. Had a wonderful experience with Blooming Desert. Had them completely redo our patio, they did beautiful cobblestone pavers with a fire pit, a seat wall, completely redid the irrigation system and installed a new lawn and electrical work for a hot tub install. From the very beginning, Joel was extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. He designed the plans and sent over 3D models during a telephone conference (this was right in the middle of COVID). The project manager Kenney was always on time and very informative of the process and also great to work with. I am a former contractor of fifteen years, and I have to say, from start to finish this was an awesome customer experience, the quality of materials and the workmanship was stellar, and they had the whole job done inside of a week. I can't say enough good things about Blooming Desert. We worked with Michael on a design, and with Bill as a project manager, and they both delivered over-the-top customer service. Shortly after moving into our house, we learned that our backyard didn't drain water when it rained; we had a lake form anytime it rained. We got several quotes and opinions. Blooming Desert was the most thorough, and Michael and Bill were great about answering my million+ questions. They installed a drain box with a buried pipe, created two connections for when we install gutters/downspouts, leveled a lot of our yard and removed a ton of excess dirt, installed great looking fake grass, and relaid a ton of patio brick to help channel water to where it needs to go. Our backyard looks great! They encountered a couple of surprises mid-project, and didn't charge us extra for the additional work; they stuck by their original quote.
