They did an extensive front area remodel --4100 square feet of pavers for a circular drive, re-designed the front hill by removing 20 tons of dirt and old plants, added a river bed, replaced all the granite, installed new lighting and watering system, added new plants, built stone accent walls and the list goes on. Once you give Sean a deposit and you agree on the work, he gives you a firm start and end date. Taking into account weather delays, the schedule is right on target. Our project encountered one entire week of rain but the crew worked through it (6 days a week, 7-5) and finished the project within only a few extra days from the original end date. The crew was timely, professional, pleasant and easy to deal with. If we ever had questions or needed to reach Sean, we received a return call, text or email within minutes. Having lived in Arizona for almost 50 years and dealing with many contractors, we can honestly say that Sean and Envirogreen Landscaping are the only contractors that we do not have one complaint to express. They were awesome! As a side note, Sean and Envirogreen did a major project for our community about 5 years ago. Many of his workers are still with Envirogreen which says volumes! I interviewed several companies for our complete backyard remodel, and it was apparent from the beginning that Sean was the best. He came up with a creative design for our backyard that provided more privacy; an entertainment space with a bar, tv, fire pit; and an outdoor kitchen. He asks questions to understand what your needs are and how you envision yourself using your yard to come up with a 3-D rendering of your ideal space. Sean has an eye for design and thinks of the big picture and the small details. We had to wait several months for the crew to start, but in my mind that was a good sign that Envirogreen was well sought after. They were worth the wait! Envirogreen has their own crews, instead of a bunch of subcontractors. Their crew, led by Abraham, was punctual, reliable, and hardworking. They showed up 5-6 days a week and worked long days until our project was complete. This kind of work ethic and reliability is so rare these days. Sean communicated with us throughout the entire process and his insights allowed us to make some decisions to improve the original plan as needed (i.e.- installed one bigger propane tank to serve our smoker, grill, fire pit, and indoor stove instead of added another smaller one). Envirogreen does good quality work, and we are very happy with the results! When we are ready to have work done on our front yard, we will be calling Envirogreen again!

We began by ripping out existing plants, pavers, brown gravel, and artificial turf for both a putting green and a general use area. We started by building a pool (a cheap plug for Dolphin Pools who did an amazing job). After the pool was completed, the second half of the project was ready to begin. This is where Colorworks stepped up to the plate. I could not begin this without mentioning one of the owners, "Jon Hammel". Colorworks Landscape Design, Inc. received rave reviews on Google and Yelp, so we reached out and were promptly scheduled for a complimentary estimate. Upon Jon's arrival, I could sense his excitement and creativity as he envisioned transforming our dream backyard into the upgraded space we desired. Although we had a plan in place, Jon skillfully incorporated his unique ideas, resulting in a comprehensive rendering of the project. We were immediately convinced that Colorworks was the ideal choice for our project. What truly set Jon apart was his unwavering honesty and thoughtful approach to refining our existing plan, ensuring that it reached its full potential. I want to clearly state that there are many stages to such a massive project. There are always going to be delays, and we had a few. Additional parts needed to be ordered, and of course, the weather did not always agree (lots of rain). Since our backyard is not the largest, every inch of the project required attention, and Jon fully comprehended that. The project included 3 large retaining walls, 164 Sq ft. of pearlescent travertine, 18 Indian laurel ficus trees with 6 tons of topsoil, 450 sq ft. of Daytona 80 0z turf, 4 stoned columns on a pergola, a wood accent backdrop for pots, and white rocks. This also included taping into existing irrigation drip, electrical lines, and reusing leftover pavers in other areas. Jon (along with our ideas) was the brains of the project, but Cesar Aldama is the contractor who brought it all together. Cesar, along with Ginato, is an excellent team. They showed up on time and worked tirelessly each day, and consistently cleaned up before they left. They always treated our home with respect, and we couldn't help but notice. Cesar is an expert in construction projects and possesses extensive knowledge in the field. My wife, being meticulous and OCD, wanted perfection in the job. Cesar meticulously coordinated with us on every aspect of the project, providing valuable advice on what could and couldn't be done. He is truly an artist, and we couldn't thank him and Ginato enough. The straightforward truth is that Colorworks fulfilled their promise! I can't forget to mention other members of the team that did amazing work: Jeff (owner), Mark, Manny (Turf installer and his awesome crew). I had Isaiahs come over and clean up weeds maybe three times but the last time his worker hacked…read moreand broke with a shovel my irrigation line. But I didn't find out till later when the planter box was all flooded like a lake and overflowing like a river to the street. I found the broken PVC right where I instructed his worker to plant an agave fior me. When I told Isaiah's TFH Landscaping that his worker broke the sprinkler line, ISAIAHs said he would send the worker over to do the repair in a couple days which Isaias said was Tuesday, the worker never showed up. When I called him to say the worker never showed up he said he would come in a couple days and he personally will come and be there. Well Isaias never showed up. What's worse is he used to answer the phone on the first ring and was "always there for me" and even said "You know I am always here for you and I answer the phone". But after he didn't show up two times he wasn't answering the phone anymore .... ever. I left many, many messages telling Isaias I was disappointed that not only does he not show up to do the repair that his worker broke, but he deliberately is ghosting me for weeks. He sees from caller ID it is me calling for him to repair something he damaged (I sent pictures of the hacked irrigation pipe in the hole where the agave got blown outta there from the broken line), so he deliberately does not answer the phone ever again to BE THERE FOR MEEEEE, like he told me previously. That deserves 1 Yelp star. So you think I'm going to do business with him if he doesn't even answer the phone ever? Someone told me "because they don't get paid to repair their mistakes and have to take time out from already paying jobs to go to a job that doesn't pay. I never spoke to Isaias again because he didn't care to come back ad fix the broken pipe his worker hacked to pieces. That deserves 1 Yelp star don't you think? I have a new landscaper who has many solid 5 Yelp stars, and so far he has shown up every time I needed him, right on time, even when he squeezed me in. But I have no experience if he will show up to fix something he didn't do right, because nothing like that has happened so far.

When other companies were slow or difficult to reach with questions (e.g. paver sizes and pricing), Jake would have an answer in minutes. His business partner was also hands-on and helped with new electrical in the backyard as well. The only thing that wasn't as expected was that they actually finished early. Highly recommend.

We will always "Think Green" and happily recommend this company when we hear of someone looking for landscaping design! Jon Riep, our designer, was a pleasure to work with and stayed in contact throughout our project. He incorporated our basic ideas into a gorgeous desert oasis, including new plantings, arroyos, irrigation, and a sidewalk. His recommendations for the design and choices for plantings beautifully added color and texture to our home. He was extremely responsive to our questions and patient with our revisions. George, our project manager was great too - personable and knowledgeable, insuring that everything was done to meet our expectations. The crew of Raul, Luis and (another) Jonathan were amazing -- friendly and accommodating; working tirelessly to transform our yard. We actually missed them when they left! We cannot say enough about our wonderful experience with this team! We enjoy our home even more now and relish each new bloom! This was hands down the absolute best experience we have had relative to the other 3. The process was unbelievably smooth, the crew are artists, and the cost was fair. Clean up occurred at the end of every day. They were also extremely tolerant of and friendly with our dogs. So many things set Native Bloom apart, but the key for us was not lying about project start date. They were honest and stayed in constant communication. And when they started, they worked almost every day until it was done. So refreshing vs 2 weeks of work, 4 weeks of nothing, etc. They don't start taking deposit money until they are ready to go. HIGHLY recommend!

Other companies either took way too long to reply to calls or certainly were not the most innovative people to deal with. We previously worked with one landscaper to develop a design for the entire yard - back and front. While it took much longer than anticipated, it helped to give us a visual layout. This experience however, also gave us the necessary input to realize we did not want to continue working with that organization. The quote from SonoranScapes was the most competitive we received. The work was to complete implementation in both back and front of our property and James's quote encompassed all the work we wanted without cutting any corners. We were quoted nearly twice as much from other organizations. We had a few concerns about the design we had, and James was able to provide us with some great alternatives and suggestions to make the end project look outstanding. He was incredibly easy to work with, flexible and always responsive to any questions we had. We would also mention that James is very "hands-on", besides being onsite most of the time and very involved in the actual work. The SonoranScapes team was great throughout the entire process - they were prompt, respectful, professional, and most importantly delivered a STELLAR final product. James answered all our questions and checked in with us on a regular basis about the progress, and any updates. We couldn't have asked for anything more! We now have a beautiful and picturesque yard with an entertaining space. We highly recommend SonoranScapes.

Jake was easy to work with, easy to reach, and provided guidance along the way. When other companies were slow or difficult to reach with questions (e.g. paver sizes and pricing), Jake would have an answer in minutes. His business partner was also hands-on and helped with new electrical in the backyard as well. The only thing that wasn't as expected was that they actually finished early. Highly recommend.

Be very careful using this company. I had them do a large job and was pleased at first. I have been told a crew was coming on 5 different occasions and not once has anyone shown up. No call that they aren't coming, no text , no communication whatsoever........they just don't show up. Set up a service date to do the repairs last Friday with her..........surprise, surprise no one showed, no call , no text. My experience with companies that just out and out tell you things and then don't do them means they won't be around long.............I would be very careful doing business with this company.
