I have done remodeling at other homes we have owned, and I have never found a contractor who is so reliable, trustworthy, and communicative! I interviewed several companies for our complete backyard remodel, and it was apparent from the beginning that Sean was the best. He came up with a creative design for our backyard that provided more privacy; an entertainment space with a bar, tv, fire pit; and an outdoor kitchen. He asks questions to understand what your needs are and how you envision yourself using your yard to come up with a 3-D rendering of your ideal space. Sean has an eye for design and thinks of the big picture and the small details. We had to wait several months for the crew to start, but in my mind that was a good sign that Envirogreen was well sought after. They were worth the wait! Envirogreen has their own crews, instead of a bunch of subcontractors. Their crew, led by Abraham, was punctual, reliable, and hardworking. They showed up 5-6 days a week and worked long days until our project was complete. This kind of work ethic and reliability is so rare these days. Sean communicated with us throughout the entire process and his insights allowed us to make some decisions to improve the original plan as needed (i.e.- installed one bigger propane tank to serve our smoker, grill, fire pit, and indoor stove instead of added another smaller one). From the moment we met him, we knew he was going to be the contractor we chose for a full landscape design and implementation from a straight dirt lot. He was the only contractor that arrived on time, came prepared to work, listened to all four of the decision makers for our house, and suggested solutions to resolve all concerns. We hired him to design the landscape which he did on a 3D software that gave us a real feel for what it would look like in real life - honestly, do not hire a designer if they dont provide a 3D drawing. The design was impeccable, every detail was so well thought out and he included features that really showed he was listening to every word we said. We made a few minor changes and he returned the updated designs promptly and exactly as promised. After we all approved the designs, he got his team out to do the install and that was really impressive to watch. That's not all though, I always wait to review until after an issue has been dealt with. We have had a nagging problem with our valves failing causing excess water near the valve box. Sean sent guys immediately that day to resolve the issue by changing the valves. It happened again and Sean realized it was not the valves, but the water pressure, so the day after that he sent out a plumber who did the work on the spot, no questions ask and no additional cost. Envirogreen Landscaping is your go to for landscaping work. From the minute we met Sean, we knew we were in good hands. They did an extensive front area remodel --4100 square feet of pavers for a circular drive, re-designed the front hill by removing 20 tons of dirt and old plants, added a river bed, replaced all the granite, installed new lighting and watering system, added new plants, built stone accent walls and the list goes on. Once you give Sean a deposit and you agree on the work, he gives you a firm start and end date. Taking into account weather delays, the schedule is right on target. Our project encountered one entire week of rain but the crew worked through it (6 days a week, 7-5) and finished the project within only a few extra days from the original end date. I was building a new home on 1/3rd of an acre, and I needed a competent professional to help design and then install a complete landscape package. I had made a few phone calls, and was extremely disappointed by what I was hearing. Companies were "too busy", and I was hardly excited about their level of competence and the lack of commitment to tackle the job I was describing. I kept searching the internet, and stumbled upon Envirogreen. After reading their stellar reviews, I gave them a call. I was greeted professionally, and I scheduled an appointment to meet at my job site, which at the time was an empty lot. Call them early on in your project to get on the schedule, because these guys are busy. It's worth the wait. I met with the owner, Grayson. He was great to work with and he listened closely to what I was describing. A design concept was started, and through 3-D drawings we kept on revising until we reached the concept I was happy with. Sean also helped put these designs together, so shout out to him. My design took numerous revisions, which were all part of the package and price quoted. The drawings were great for my HOA submittal, which was approved on the first try. My house was completed in May 2022, and Envirogreen was ready to go. Every day, 6 days per week for an entire month, the crew was on-site working their tails off in the summer heat. Crew leader Abraham was phenomenal, and his crew was one of the hardest working groups I have ever seen. Owner Grayson was out to the job site every other day to review the work with me and see if there was anything I wanted done differently. We did make a couple changes on the fly, and everything worked out perfectly The final product is phenomenal, and I could not be happier with the job that was completed in a timely and competent manner. I want to mention the drainage plan Envirogreen came up with, because that is hugely important. Recently, we decided to add turf in another part of the back yard which really needed attention. We reached out to Sean at Envirogreen. He was as helpful, professional, and awesome to work with as he had been when we had Envirogreen change out real grass to turf in another section of the yard a couple of years ago. From the time the guys arrived and began working, everybody was courteous and very respectful of our property, and the finished section is as beautiful as the rest of the yard. Everything was perfectly done this time as it was on the previous job. Prior to moving to AZ, we lived in Virginia where we enjoyed having real, live, green grass. Well, we tried like heck to have real, live, green grass here, as well, but if you've lived in Phoenix long enough, you probably do not enjoy mowing, maintenance, fertilizing and watering to keep grass green, much less alive, and not to mention the expense involved. I enjoyed working with the team and everyone was extremely courteous and professional. The issue I've run into is with the recommended trees/plants that were put into my yard. I have a young child and a full grown golden retriever. During our consultation I asked specifically for no plants/trees that either are toxic or have thorns. Guess what? All of the trees planted have grown enormous thorns and another set of plants are toxic to dogs. I would not recommend purely because of that. We feel really lucky that we found Envirogreen to perform a full facelift on our front yard. Sean came out a couple of different times in advance to talk with us about what we were interested in doing, then provided a really useful rendering and adjusted it as our ideas evolved and in a couple of cases our needs shifted significantly. He made excellent referrals for a gutter company and a block-wall company. He provided excellent advice when we had questions about the right materials, how to think about drainage, and options for basketball-resistant plants, and brought to the table excellent creative ideas for some of the features that we have enjoyed the most, including the design of the planters and the scale of the patio space. When the work started, Sean's team was really fast and their workmanship was impeccable. I continue to be impressed in particular by the quality of the hand-laid stonework. One example: A few weeks after the job was done, we had our first big rainstorm. Water on the patio drained perfectly, including through a tiny hole at the base of the wall--clearly for just that purpose-- that I had never noticed. The drip system for the plants and the lighting package were both done very well. We had a little trouble with a couple of plants that didn't make it through the brutal 2019 summer, and Sean has provided solid advice about replacements and adjustments to our watering schedule. I was skeptical about a company with ALL 5 star reviews - until I met Sean. We had our yard done previously by a 'pool and landscape' company and were thoroughly unhappy. Sean listened to all of our concerns and what we had really wanted. He came up with a design that looked like it was right out of a magazine!
