What a interesting shop on Main Street in the historic portion of La Grange. In the back section of the shop gorgeous floral arrangements were being made and in the front section a gift shop that truly has something for everyone. I saw so many unusual items that were different from the typical gift shop offerings. There was a nice selection of home goods, small clothing items, soaps and lotions, jewelry, sunglasses, wall art, bride/groom gifts, and so much more. The offerings are artfully arranged and draws shoppers in! This is a wonderful place for one-of-a kind gifts. I will definitely be returning for gift-giving occasions! read more

Liv really brought my vision to life! Everyone's florals were gorgeous, the baby's breath for my hair were stunning, my cake and memorial florals were perfection, and the venue owner had a blast using up the dried florals purchased to decorate the barn/reception space. The process was excellent, from the first meeting to every correspondence since. I felt like every detail of my wedding florals were dealt with care and intention. I also appreciate how Bloom's was able to best work with my budget, my color choices, and my husbands allergies to create the most beautiful pieces. I loved my bridal bouquet SO much that I had it preserved into a shadow box and 2 ring dishes! During a time of social distancing it's a critical need to be able to reach out to people you care about in big and small ways. What better way to say 'hello, I care about you!' than with flowers? Blooms took the time this week to help my teenage son create his first flower delivery for his girlfriend. They asked what kinds of flowers and colors she liked and were sensitive to keep the order to a price range to match his limited teenage budget. He was nervous but the folks on the phone were so warm and kind. They set up same day contactless delivery and I think were as excited as he was when she opened the door to find a bouquet of fresh beautiful flowers on her doorstep. I have been into the Blooms location many times and love the in-shop gifts and flower shop experience. If you've never been in, definitely put it on your bucket list for when the state opens back up. It's worth a drive to cute downtown La Grange and you can walk the historic district and have lunch at a cafe while you're there! But let me just tell you, to be able to bring that same level of care to a virtual sale was really nice and made a special 'first' for my son. That was great to see. If you're considering how to make someone feel special during this weird COVID shut down, flowers from this local shop would certainly do the trick. read more

The day of Hoco my daughter's hair appt cancelled. We were so upset. I was challenged to do her hair myself. But decided last second flowers would be perfect with her dress. Technically the store had closed but they answered the phone. And told me to head on to the shop. A custom made piece was made just for her as we waited. That was above and beyond. Words cannot express how beautiful the flowers were for my daughter's wedding. They were married at a botanical garden with beautiful florals everywhere and adding Liv's creations made it look like a page from a storybook. The couple was married in front of an arch of flowers that Liv created. It was the most incredible jaw dropping arrangement of flowers I've ever seen. The beauty carried over to the tables where Liv created flower arrangements that were EVERYTHING my daughter could have ever wished for. Liv truly made this wedding look like something out of a fairy tale with, not only the florals, but also with her vision using other accessories to decorate the tables and buffet tables with. It was truly breathtaking to look around and take in the beauty of the stunning and romantic reception area that Liv created before the guests were seated. I cannot speak highly enough of Liv and the people at Blooms. They truly created a day that my daughter, son- in-law and I will never forget. I received my bouquet from Blooms by Essential Details last week for a goodbye party. It's the most beautiful bouquet I've ever received! I'm not impressed easily by regular flowers arrangements, because I see so many through my work (wedding photographer). It was obvious they put a lot of work into their arrangement, and I love how they incorporate unusual plants into some of their work, such as kale or succulents. I had a best friend's mother pass suddenly and her funeral was the next day. I shopped on-line with unfavorable results of products being "unavailable", terribly overpriced and delivery fees of $18. So, I googled local florists and found Blooms right in town. They had a huge variety of gifts for any occasion, vases, figurines, planters, flowers and very few plants. I found a simple ceramic pitcher and the employee offered a "wild flower" type bouquet arrangement, according to the way I described the person who passed. It ended up being the most personal arrangement set right next to the casket. I appreciated their help and compassion in selecting just the right arrangement and to work with the budget I needed to follow. The delivery fee was more than half less than the online stores AND I'd be able to see exactly what I pay for. Thanks again Blooms! read more

Blooms is a great place to visit if you are in the La Grange area. I can always find some cute jewelry or housewares/decor there. They have a nice selection of very reasonably priced clothing as well, and they carry plus sizes too. I havent personally ordered any floral arrangements from them, but they always look lovely. read more

This store's employees were very personable, kind and helpful. They helped me out of a very emotional situation that I was in. They made a gorgeous flower arrangement with roses and hydrangeas. Absolutely beautiful. I recently had them do a rose bouquet for a friend's 50th birthday and once again they knocked it out of the park. Love the store - the atmosphere they have built here is one that makes you want to return to the store again. I live in Louisville, but stopped in this shop on Derby Day after having lunch with relatives nearby. This store is heavenly! There was a beautiful order of 22 large flower arrangements being prepared and delivered to a hotel for the Kentucky Derby while I was there. The shop smells nice, the variety of merchandise is terrific, excellent gifts were abundant, and prices were reasonable. I bought some Trapp candles. I look forward to stopping by there again. read more

I paid over $80 for a bouquet this company advertised on-line (called "Fashionista Blooms" - the Deluxe version), and what was delivered to my mother in the hospital in LaGrange was nowhere close to what was advertised. First of all, the Fashionista Blooms' Deluxe picture shows 14 roses that you can see - ostensibly there are flowers on the other side of the vase that the camera is not capturing - but even if they've made every flower point toward the camera and there are none in the back I still COUNTED 14 roses in the picture. The remaining flowers are colorful pink daisies and some white flower that I can't see clearly. it's in a stylish vase with green and pink ribbon wrapped around the vase. IN REALITY what my mother received was: an ugly, common green vase that has NO style; instead of pink ribbon the'yve substituted twine. .. But here comes the real offense: only 5 roses and all remaining flowers are daisies. It is (and appears to be) a $9 bouquet in a complimentary (i.e. cheap and ugly) vase. ANd I paid $80. And it's because the order came from CA and they figured I'd never see the bouquet. This type of misrepresentation is fraudulent, and I will never, never give this company my business again. read more

I had misread the date/time of the memorial service, yet Barbara was able to help me quickly select a beautiful bouquet and have it delivered the same afternoon. What wonderful service! read more

We thought the arrangement we ordered ended up going to the wrong person. What we ordered, the picture shown online was NOT what we got. Afterward, the person on the phone looked up our order and even told us what was included in the delivered arrangement. The online Deluxe showed 4 red roses and 6-8 spray white roses. They were out of spray roses, but they only included 3 roses total! Then on the carnations, they included 7 total and online the picture clearly shows 14! I was told we received the value of the $42 we paid, sorry that is not the case. From what the pictures show, we clearly received half of what is shown. False advertising! read more

THE WORST-Blooms in La Grange, KY!!!!!!!This florist,Blooms, is the worst I have EVER in countered in my 30 years of ordering from various florists around the country!!!! I had called to place an order to be delivered that day to a friend with cancer, celebrating her last day of chemo/radiation. They took my credit card information and told me it would be delivered that day, my friend lives just a couple miles from their store. When I came home later the evening, I had received a message from Blooms staff that they did not even attempt to deliver the flowers as they had called my friend's home and no one had answered. Well, my friend happens to have no voice because of the type of cancer she has plus, even if she did, having cancer, she would not have been up to getting to the phone. The next day, I had to phone Blooms as they still made no attempt to deliver the flowers. I explained my friends condition and that I was VERY upset about their putting forth NO effort to deliver the flowers. I told them that they must deliver that day as they did not fulfill their obligation for a paid order! I called them at around 4 pm and they told me that the delivery truck was already out and that the flowers would be delivered the next day, Thursday. Today is Friday... three days after I made the order and my friend still has not received her flowers and I have not received a phone call from Blooms!!!!!! read more
