The inside has a cool ambiance, and they make good use of their space. The drinks are kinda pricey for the area but they are unique and well crafted. The food is special, no Sysco junk here (iykyk). I haven't tried their craft beers, but if its anything like their food you should give it a try. parking can be a bit rough when downtown gets busy, but make the trip over here if you can.

They're located in the heart of Downtown Williamsport and bring their A game when it comes to food and brews. The Good: *Great location right across from the theater (we were there to see a graduation) *Friendly service *Small dog-friendly front patio *Live music *Sunday Brunch *Fried Pierogis were delicious and served up hot and fresh. I wish they were a little more seasoned, as the mashed potato filling needed more salt. But ain't that the way taters always is? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ *Carissa loved her Korean BBQ Salmon Salad, as the fish was cooked perfectly and the house KBBQ sauce was delicious. *Huge draft list of housemade beers, ciders, and even sodas. *My Pittsburger was epic! Talk about a meal in one handful: burger, slaw, and fries all packed neatly between two soft pillowy buns made this a Man vs Food episode in the making. The Meh: *Free but limited street parking. There are several small lots adjacent but I'm not sure what their limitations are. The Ugly: *The place can fill up fast, especially if there's an event/show at the aforementioned theater. Conclusion: Great beer, ambiance, and food. Say less.

The Westy gets it. Pool table? Check. Darts? Check. A lineup of drinks that make you rethink your…read moreusual order? Also check. Tried the Hunch Punch and Old Man Ale, and honestly, both were dangerously good. The kind of drinks that make you linger a little longer than planned. No attitude from the staff, just a solid vibe. The only tragedy? The outdoor area looks amazing, but winter exists, so I had to admire it before walking in like a Victorian child longing for summer. Would I come back? Absolutely. Just need to practice looking cool at pool more.

I had an absolutely horrible experience at The Westy and want to warn others about their…read moreunprofessional, aggressive, and discriminatory behavior. From the moment I walked in, I was ignored by the bartender, Pearl, while others around me were being served. When I politely asked if I could order a drink, I was finally acknowledged, but when I requested a specific drink, rather than simply saying they didn't have it, the bartender rudely cursed at me, saying, "Why the f** would I make a drink like that? Order something off the menu."* Shocked by such an unprofessional response, I remained calm and respectful, yet the situation escalated further. The bartender threatened to call the police on me for no reason--simply because I requested a drink. Then, without cause, the bouncer Eric aggressively grabbed me, thrashing me around and refusing to let go, even though I repeatedly and calmly told him to release me. Despite being completely non-confrontational and not being violent back, he continued to manhandle me in a way that was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. He was so aggressive that he broke one of my nails and injured my wrist. It was obvious that I was being targeted and mistreated because I am a Hispanic woman--if I had been a man or accompanied by one, I highly doubt I would have been treated this way. After filing a police report, I was informed by law enforcement that this establishment already has a bad reputation for being discriminatory. This speaks volumes about how they operate and how little they care about treating people with basic dignity and respect. This was an obvious case of discrimination and assault, and I will be pursuing legal action. I strongly urge anyone--especially women and minorities--to avoid this place at all costs. No one deserves to be treated this way.

The waitress had a sense of humor and helped us with suggestions for breakfast in town the next day. The owner saw us looking out the window at some large birds and he swiftly showed up at our table not only with our tasty pierogi appetizer but with a portable telescope so we could watch the baby eagles across the river learning how to fish with their parents. We had the wings (good inventive flavors!) and the special (smoked chicken, mashed potatoes and lemon zested peas with gravy) that tasted like a fresh pan sauce and was flavorful and definitely homemade tasting. What kind of tavern takes the time to add lemon zest to vegetables? A place that cares about the food they serve! And did I mention the beer was very affordable? We really enjoyed our dinner here and think the folks who live nearby are lucky to have a spot like this.

I first visited Rock Bottom with friends several years ago--shortly after it changed ownership. It was a pleasant stop, but things have continued to improve. The owner has improved the river view by carefully tending a riverfront lot across the street and keeping large windows. There's also a side deck with river views. Thus family-owned establishment has great service and a friendly clientele who are welcoming to all. The tap system is currently offline but Rock Bottom has a nice selection of domestic bottled beers. Four stars only because we didn't have a chance to try the food; bar service was great If you're in the Lock Haven area definitely check out this local jewel. You'll have a good time and probably make some new friends.
