New Trail is a solid spot located in an industrial area of Williamsport, PA. This place is all about the beer, with a factory vibe in the tasting area adjacent to the brewery. There's a full selection of New Trail's offerings on tap. They don't offer flights per se, but you can order 4-ounce pours. Food is limited to food trucks on site. The beer is excellent and fresh since you are enjoying it right at the source. New Trail ships around the region and beyond and has grown into a reasonably good sized business. As such, the overall tasting room experience feels a little...corporate...with plenty of merch on offer in addition to the beer. As others have noted, the exterior spaces are functional but basically tables in a gravel area off a parking lot. I get it--there's not much you can do with that location. I ordered a margarita and received 10 oz and saw others with 16 oz. There is no choice of size. I ordered another and asked what size they are and I was told 16 oz. I said I only had a 10 oz when I ordered the first. She asked if I still have the cup and showed her the cup. She returned with the right size and said nothing about my being screwed the first time. After I paid I saw they did not a damn thing about screwing me on barely more than half the size on the first marg. read more

I'm happy I stopped into New Trail Brewing after a long day at work. Their beers do not disappoint. The indoor tasting room is rather cozy but there are plenty of picnic tables outside and a food truck to grab some grub to have with your drinks. The two beers I had are good ones to have when I've finished a hike or mountain bike ride in the nearby Pennsylvania mountains. I think that can be a motto: "Blaze a new trail with a good brew." My time in Williamsport can be summed up with three actions, revisiting old memories, blazing new trails, and seeing my old friend. read more

New Trail Brewery is folded into a row of several warehouses and can be a little difficult to find unless you spot the packed parking lot. Inside you'll find a large repurposed factory type room with several family style tables. They serve their beer through the bar only- no wait staff. In addition to the main tap room there is an adjoining indoor beer garden (with a bar that's open during busy hours). There is a big outdoor area with several chairs/ tables and a fire pit. The brewery serves a variety of beers, but also serves local wines and whiskies. This place is also dog friendly! Hands down some of the best beer in PA. read more

New Trail is a brewery that focuses heavily on IPAs and releases a new one nearly every week. The lack of options isn't necessarily New Trail's fault as it is clearly what they have success marketing, but if you are into other styles your options will be severely limited. Also of note is pricing. New Trail takes full advantage of marking up their product at their brewery beyond what the normal market would dictate. One large case of this is found in their recent release of Buzz and Saw imperial stouts. This offering was priced at $23 for 4 12oz cans at the brewery, which in comparison to the market is very expensive, especially without the need to pay for logistics and have a distributor mark up. The beer is quality but the options are very limited and are priced at a premium. Riepstines is a stones throw away from this brewery and beats out New Trail in value and selection every day. read more

It seems like there's always something new or interesting on the menu when I visit. My friends and I decided to stop here on a whim in September. We were driving from upstate NY back down to Philadelphia and decided that we could use a pitstop in Williamsport. We are SO HAPPY with that decision. We each got 2 different small pours and there wasn't a bad sample in the bunch. We also arrived in time to try their seasonal pumpkin beers and were skeptical at first... but we were very pleasantly surprised. "Zombies and People Too", "Zombies Drink Milkshakes Too", and "Zombies Drink Lattes Too" blew our expectations of pumpkin beer away. We all left with 4-packs galore and swore to use our review powers on Yelp and Untapped to sing the praises of this small but mighty spot. There was plenty of space outdoors for socially-distanced seating and a great food truck on site too! We went to New Trail Brewing Company after having their products at home. It was tucked back from the road, but was well marked and easy to find with google maps. As soon as we came inside, there was a greeter, and hand sanitizer. Each register at the bar area had a hand sanitizer, as well as by the trash cans. Overall, the place was clean and had a good vibe. The snacks we had were good, and the drinks were great. The tables were spaced out, and everyone we saw maintained social distancing, and every employee was wearing a mask. Each interaction was pleasant. We can't wait to come back in warmer weather to take advantage of the outside area. We will be back! read more

I could have spent all day here - amazing atmosphere, outdoor setup + food truck with legitimately great food. We got 4 different beers and loved them all, that never happens! (We got the Tripel, strawberry margarita Tart Ale, Even Zombies Drink Milkshakes, and Broken Heels) But I'm really here to write about the pretzel. Not and easy place to find. No "try before you buy", if you want to taste a beer before you buy a full pour, you have to buy a 4 oz. pour. Leave your growlers home, they don't fill them. A great addition to Williamsport. Their hours are a bit limited, not sure if they're different in the warmer months. It's definitely a little off the beaten path, it's located in a warehouse of sorts. The patio area was nice though obviously not occupied in winter. Went to the tasting room today which was awesome. The space is really cool, very spacious with a lot of seating (both bar and tables) and a few games. Bring your dog. They had a pierogi/barbecue food truck/table set up inside, everything looked great. I had the white ale and the trail ale, the latter was a pilsner. Both were excellent. They have a lot of IPAs. MUST GO! I'm a big fan of NTB beers, so we planned a little day trip on a sunny Saturday afternoon to check them out. I knew the beer was going to be great, but was not sure what to expect for the tasting room. Holy awesomeness...so cute and fun! It's not just a little warehouse bar that houses a bunch of delicious locally-made beers, but it also hosts food trucks in the cutest little outdoor chill space...live edge slab tables, Adirondack chairs, big picnic tables, a fire pit, games, etc. The staff was super friendly which made for a great 1st experience. The bartender was quick and kind. Everything and everyone made you feel welcomed, ready to sit and stay all afternoon, just enjoying good beer. Pet friendly and even kid friendly...fooseball and some yard games to be enjoyed both inside and out. Has small pours, big pours, growler fills, and beer to-go. And even though the location is like a back parking lot of an old lumber yard, it did not feel that way once you arrived. Huge appreciation for all the little design details throughout the space.
