I rec'd flowers from friends who ordered online. The arrangement was nothing like the picture, had florist daisy fillers in abundance, and only 4 roses! My friends asked to see a picture off the arrangement, and were shocked at what was delivered. When they called the blossom shop, they were told the arrangement was acceptable, and they would receive no compensation. l have to admit that when I rec'd the arrangement, I was shocked at how non-descript & skimpy it was. This week my noble godpug Niles passed away, leaving behind a fanbase that literally spanned the country. I did a quick search for a business that delivers gift baskets in the Summerville area and stumbled across Blossom. Based on their website, Blossom's wheelhouse seems to be flower arrangements (not surprising given their name). My thought though was that someone grieving the death of a loved one might not want to receive something that dies shortly after receipt (that could be a minority opinion), so I went with an alternative, the Movie Night Tub ($39.95 plus tax). Based on the example photo, it's a bunch of pre-packaged candy and similar naughtiness placed in a movie popcorn-style container. Since I purchased it online, they waived the delivery fee - quite classy in my opinion. I was also able to get it delivered same day, again, for no additional fee. In the mid to late afternoon, I received a call from the delivery guy at Blossom, who was outside the address in question. He informed me that there were turkeys in the yard, which can attack if provoked, and wanted to know if I was in the house to accept the delivery (alas, no). I'm not from the area, so I've only dealt with roasted turkeys and live ones in the woods from a considerable distance. After explaining that I couldn't personally assist, he announced he would make a run for it to the door. I received a thank you from my chum a few minutes after that, so he was apparently successful. I also learned from her that they are guineas, not turkeys. This ended up being an educational experience, as well as at least a mild solace to my grieving friend, who enjoyed the contents of the package. Solid recommend, especially knowing that Blossom's employees may risk physical harm to get the job done. read more

After much searching on Sunday January 21, I found this shop and called to place an order for birthday flowers to be delivered in Summerville, SC on January 22. It was in the afternoon, so I was concerned whether it could be delivered the next day. The person on the phone assured me 3 times it would be delivered on January 22, my granddaughter's birthday. That, and the color of the arrangement, were very important to me. All day today, January 22, I tracked the order online. It was always listed "in transit." When it was almost closing time and no delivery, I called. Several times, no answer. I finally used the call back, and was told they'd check. Then I got an email that "We received a late notice from our supplier about the delay in the delivery of our supplies. We will deliver your order on the next available day, 01/23/2024" Oddly, the tracker still showed it "in transit." I've emailed the company and told them this was totally unacceptable. First, I was assured 3 times it would be delivered as promised. Second, I only learned of the supplier issue after I inquired and after 6 pm. They never called or contacted me to see if I wanted to substitute something, cancel the order, or deliver later. This was a $78 order, and my granddaughter didn't get anything from her Pops on her birthday. Read the review by Jerami S from 4/8/23. This was pretty much my exact same experience. WORST customer service - ordered flowers LAST TUESDAY for a WEDNESDAY DELIVERY at 3 PM (due to a religious holiday on Wednesday beginning at 5 PM). I paid over $85 for what seemed like a beautiful arrangement. Not only did they fail to deliver flowers (I told Rowena when I ordered on Tuesday there was a very clear need for specific date and time for delivery) despite multiple phone calls and emails on Wednesday there was no follow up, passing the buck, making excuses (the delivery truck broke down - really??) they said they couldn't contact the flower designer, or the driver (so how did they know the truck 'broke down'?) they not only displayed poor customer service, they confirmed their dishonesty. One word to describe this company is SLOPPY. I've followed up multiple times since Wednesday, April 5th. I received an email saying they'd deliver on Thursday and when I shared that wasn't helpful as the holiday dinner I ordered the flowers for was on Wednesday! I asked for a refund - and keep getting different emails from different 'people' who I assume are bots. I told them if I didn't hear back I would report on Yelp and now that it's SATURDAY I'm following up on that promise to report their behavior. Very disrespectful (this arrangement was for a religious holiday imagine if I asked them to deliver flowers for Christmas Day and they didn't arrive). They clearly lack any kind of proactive or mildly responsive customer service. IF I COULD give ZERO stars I would. PS I spoke with Rowena and the manager Rico (who promised to call me back and never did) and have received emails from someone named Maria and someone named Carol. I live about three hours out of Summerville, but I needed flowers/plant for the following day - a memorial service at 11:00 which meant the flowers/plant had to be at the funeral home by 9:00 a.m. I phoned the shop last minute, at about 5:20 (they close at 5:30). They even had to log back onto the computer to accommodate me. The shop suggested I send a hydrangea plant. Upon seeing the plant at the service, I was so impressed - it was quite substantial with many big beautiful blooms...absolutely gorgeous! I'm surprised it didn't cost more. I live in Philadelphia, and wanted to send my mom (lives in Summerville) flowers for Mother's Day. I wanted to look for a local florist in Summerville, rather than using 1-800 flowers or a similar, more corporate, service. The Blossom Shop's website was easy to browse and order from, and I was pleased with my experience - until I called my mom tonight (on May 3, seven days before I scheduled delivery) and she answered saying "you sent me flowers!!". HM! she said the flowers were beautiful and nice quality, but she received a card with my requested personal note printed on it, along with "DELIVERY DATE: MAY 10 2014" printed below - the date I requested. the shop is closed now but I plan to call on Monday to figure out why this early delivery happened. so disappointing! EDIT: I originally put two stars associated with my review because of the delivery issue, but my mom just sent me a picture of the flowers - I am BLOWN AWAY. they are truly beautiful (I got a sunflower bouquet) - way beyond anything I've seen from a flower delivery. the blooms are large, full, and healthy. the sunflowers are arranged nicely in a round vase with greenery and smaller yellow flowers.
