I have been going to Blu Cacoon for the past 6 years and with every phone call I make to make an appointment I think in my mind I need another place to go to. The staff is unfriendly in fact rude. Inconsistent on what they tell you. The first consult I had with Nurse Jamie she said a certain price for the package for my laser hair removal and then for lifetime touch ups it would be $55 but for touch ups they have been raising prices every time I book an appointment. They constantly keep changing the nurses. Nobody sticks in there office for long I wonder why. read more

I love this place! I got a coupon in the mail for $50 off my first visit. I think this is because I live next door to them at Legacy Fountain Plaza and somehow their marketing found me. The staff is great! I'm especially fond of Cristina because I've had a couple of appointments with her. If you are considering anything, seriously just come in. You won't regret it. There isn't any pressure and they are very welcoming and informative. Cristina explains medical concepts and the processes very well. You can ask her anything and she will give you her honest opinion. There are so many procedures to learn about that will make you want to try them out but she will honestly tell you either you do or don't need it and realistically how long it will take to see results. I also had a facial here with Miros. She's very knowledgeable. What I like about her is that she totally understands the chemical aspects of all the products. Some relaxing fancy spas will just use a product and do the standard stuff but don't fully understand how it works (ex. InSpa). After her facial, god was I ugly!! This is the cleanest effective facial I've received. The extractions hurt more than at other places. After, I thought I was going to scar because I was so red and felt a bit raw from the extractions. But the next day my skin clarity definitely improved. A few days later the spots just disappeared. So I really feel she knew her stuff and did the extractions cleanly with precision. It wasn't like she was poking and pushing on a pimple waiting for it to pop. She knew how to handle each one depending on its condition. Definitely worth the 95 bucks! However, I still love going to non-medical based spas as well because I like organic yummy smelling products (Eminence) compared to blah medical grade products. I'm curious, are you supposed to tip at medical spas as well? I did anyway but I don't know if you have to or not since I didn't tip for other services there. I have been going to Blu Cocoon for years and have seen several of the staff members (although Cristina is personally my favorite) :-) They are all great and are very knowledgeable. They always ask exactly what I want and I never feel like I'm being 'upsold' or encouraged to do anything other than what I came in for. the staff are really friendly and genuine. i have a friend who opened up her own business w/ her sister so i am always for supporting sister owned businesses. my consultant was great. the nurse was very knowledgeable and upbeat. i never felt pressured but i walked away purchasing a package of 5 laser treatments. my first treatment, the nurse totally took care of me. i wasn't too nervous but she always made sure i was ok. even after my treatment, i got 2 follow up phones calls from them asking if everything was fine. during my 2nd treatment i still the genuine care of the nurse and she made sure to take care of me. i have been happy so far with the results and with blu cocoon. i must say that laser hair removal is awesome. i'm so glad i don't have to shave/pluck my armpits anymore. it definitely does hurt but it's worth the pain. read more

The owner and her wonderful staff are extremely knowledgable about their services and I have full confidence in their abilities. I always feel like I'm in good hands here - which is important in this day and age of very unprofessional med-spa's getting away with downright unsafe practices by inexperienced technicians (beware!). My first time at BCMSpa was back in 2007! Crazy. I love the ladies that own and run this med spa. They are straight up and they are in it for the long haul. They are working hard to create relationships and not just make a quick sale. They care about what you want and don't try to force some treatment or product down your throat. I have had various treatments at BCMSpa but today I had my first ever Botox treatment and I can already see some improvement to my crows feet. i've been to many spas throughout my life and i even have a cosmetology degree, so i think i'm a pretty good judge of a quality facial. you absolutely have to get a facial from JAMIE RICKS. She's smart, informative, efficient and sweet as can be. She tailor made the perfect facial for me and explained the whats and whys of the applications and products. i left feeling 10 times better than when i arrived and gained more education about my skin and the different treatments and products that would benefit me most. she even loosened some of the horrible knots in my shoulders! the whole experience was so relaxing and enjoyable, just an utter treat. hands down, BEST FACIAL EVER. my skin is positively glowing right now, and thats the proof. i would recommend her to anyone. couldn't be happier :) read more

I went in for the B12 shot during the clinic hours the girl who was working upfront was such a sweetheart! This is my first review. I have been using yelp for a long period but never wrote a review. Ok, regarding blu cocoon, I got my under arm laser treatment. I had six sittings. I could find a difference from the 2nd sitting onwards. By the time I reached the sixth, still had few hair but it was way reduced. From the dark and thick hair, the progress was remarkable by the end of the treatment. Its about six months since my last treatment, I see few hair but it is very fine and after shaving it just doesnt make any dark marks anymore. My appointments were mostly handled by Lisa and only once there was someone else. The other person was also equally good. They run few minutes late at times. At the same time, when I went early they still helped me. Infact my appointment was missing in their calander once, they managed to help me. I had facial once and I had break out next day. I didnt try it again. Over all this place is highly recommanded for laser treatment. It is little expensive but worth it. read more

I've been going to Blu Cocoon since they opened earlier this year. I had just moved to California and was actually looking for a place to get facials that had a nurse/doctor on staff. Well, the spa gods were looking over me and I found Blu Cocoon. The prices are very reasonable and I love the specials that they run on top of the low prices. The monthly facials and Obagi series have worked wonderfully and I recieve consistent compliements on how clear and smooth my skin looks. I've also done the laser hair removal and my only regret is that I didn't do it years ago. read more

I go here for the laser hair removal. It's a nice place, but for the laser hair removal you need quite a few sessions. Sometimes I get a really good person and other times I don't, so that's why I didn't give this place 5 stars. Some of the nurses just aren't as good with getting all of the area. Lisa (not sure if she still works there or not) is good because she goes over the area twice, and I notice that I don't have much growth afterwards. I can't say the same for some of the others though. read more

I absolutely love this place! I have been in twice for laser hair reduction and both times they have been so great! The first time I went in for my consultation, they asked a lot of questions to determine my skin history, and thoroughly explained how the process works. The registered nurse got me started on treatment that day! They even offered me a numbing cream but I did not need it. The second time I went in, I was running 30 min late due to horrible traffic and I felt so awful and expected to reschedule, but they encouraged me to come on in, even though I would be arriving when they were closing. They stayed open and didn't make me feel rushed, and the RN was so kind even though I had really inconvenienced her. Again, I did not use the numbing cream, but I probably will try it next time since they are ramping up the intensity to make it more effective. Overall, this place had great customer service, a wide range of treatment options, and a nice little discount if you book a few treatments together as a package. I bought this great body exfoliator called Supercor (the spelling may be inaccurate) but it's a terrific exfoliator, a must have for everyone. One side is for the body and the other I use for the face. It is also antibacterial so double plus points. This is located in a very big plaza, so you could go to Trader Joe's, eat at Panera Bread, shop for arts and crafts at Michaels and be done for the day. Definitely worth a look. I was so nervous when I came in today- my hands were shaking. Holy really went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and even though I was terrified. They gave me numbing cream and when it was time, I only felt the needle a bit. I really didn't feel The juvederm go in to my lips like other people said they did. Don't get botox here! They have the talk but don't know the first thing what they are doing! I was new to the area and found them to be conveniently close. I made an appointment and went in. One of the owners took me to a back room and sat me down on the bed, we had a consult. She started the injections, talking about every muscle that she was hitting on the way. This made me feel like she knew exactly what she was doing. I left feeling confident. A week later my whole face drooped. I immediately called them and made a return appointment. she said that she could fix it. After she fixed it somewhat, I never went back. What an embarrassment and waste of my time. read more

I have visited blu coccoon twice. At first, I had an okay session for facial, the aesthetician was nice and shares some of her thoughts and stories. My facial was okay but my face just did not get better. I have also had vibraderm and still, no improvement on my face. I scheduled another session for facial, this time, with Christina Christner and I had a wonderful facial, neck, shoulder and arms massage. I went back to blue coccoon because I want to have the vibraderm. I was just disappointed because the aesthetitician gets in and out of the room after she put facial mask on. Unlike Christina Christner, she does not leave the room and she gives the massage which is really wonderful and relaxing! I will probably no longer go back to blu coccoon because I have not seen any improvement in my face with my visits with them. read more

I've had some facial hair issues for a few years now and have tried everything without seeing any positive results. After I read the reviews on yelp I figured I would give them try but I still felt skeptical. Let me just tell you I was wrong! I purchased one of their packages and prayed for the best but didn't expect much. I'm on my fourth of five treatments and I'm virtually hair free, I'm more than pleased with the results. I would highly recommend Blu Cocoon. Word of advice,if you have a low threshold for pain I recommend you do the numbing but if you can handle the pain then you will be fine.
