The only reason I'm only giving 4 stars out of 5 is that I was told my pants would be finished two days later by 11am (I said I could pick them up in two days before noon, or I could get them the following week as there was no rush). I arrived to pick them up at 11:35am while on my way to work, and I ended up having to wait 5 minutes while he finished one of my pants in front of me. It wasn't a big deal, but if I I had come at 11am when he said they would be done then I would have waited 40 minutes or I would have had to come back to get my pants on another day. I would recommend this tailor, but I would suggest giving them more time to finish your items, even if they sound confident that they will have it done in a couple of days.

My computer worked better than ever, until now, but nothing to do with his work, but more the fault of Microsoft. I run Windows 10 which I find fine, BUT Microsoft decided I need Windows 11 and installed it without my authority. Many of my apps dont work with !! so I tried to revert back to Windows 10 which I have done before. This time I got the blue screen of death upon startup, and seemingly no way out without my Authorizing Key, which of course I didn't have. so again I called Dean. As usual he performed his magic and was able to located them very promptly and again I'm up and running with Windows 10. Dean is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Over the phone and by email, Shelley handled all of my long-distance requests (I was in the States and my daughter is in Halifax) with patience, and always in a timely manner. She accommodated our need for overnight storage, and worked with our timing to get out of one place and into another. The day of the move, which happened during the NS wildfires, the company's timing got a little derailed, through no fault of their own. When that impacted my daughter's move, they proactively waived some fees as compensation, and worked with her to make sure that they could still get the move done in time. Shelley sent over an extra mover, and when we suggested doing the move right into the new place, without the overnight hold (we were able to get her into the new place earlier than expected!), Shelley rolled with the punches, and pivoted to execute the move in one day. The extra mover (which we were not charged for) and the whole crew worked quickly but carefully, and got the move done in record time. Overall, it was tremendous value for what we got, and the move was done faster than we expected! Being far away was stressful for me, but Shelley made sure that everything ran smoothly and that my daughter was taken care of. I would highly recommend Gentle Giant for your local move.
