My family and I came here four days in a row because we had a family member in the hospital down the road and each time we went were very satisfied. The food, coffee, and service were great. We loved how fresh the food was as well as the variety they offer. The welcoming atmosphere left us wanting to come back everyday. Was in Delhi and needed a place to hunker down and work. BBC was a perfect spot. I sat in a table by the window for several hours. The staff was courteous as I spent the time grazing. Favorite food place in Delhi. The portions are large and everything is made fresh everyday, so sometimes they run out of my favorites like the chicken salad and the meatloaf sandwich ( just like mom used to make). First of all me and my friends originally wanted to go to crossroad cafe, but since it was closed today we had the pleasure of visiting the bluebell cafe. First off the decor in the cafe is very cute and inviting and the booths are very comfortable for seating 4 people. We helped ourselves to a table and and were greeted by a very pleasant server who got our drinks right away. As for the meal side, at first glance on the menu it looks small, but packed with familiar favorites. The coffees and teas are delicious !! Everything we ate was delicious absolutely no complaints. And you must try the desserts homemade bakery treats and local organic ice cream is also amazing. All around this place is a local gem!!!! read more

Looked up this place online and thought it looked like a great place to grab a snack. It was busy when I walked in, but I was not there for dining, just to pick up a snack. The staff were busy behind the counter--too busy to be bothered by my presence. I looked at the offers and made a selection. After about 5-7 minutes when the staff wanted to finally turn down their noses far enough to look at me, I gave my selections. Just as I was paying I decided to add ice cream to the order. The look on the staff person's face was enough to freeze over hell. It was the look of "how dare you even bother to purchase something a second time. It was bad enough servicing you the first time." She reluctantly took my money a second time for the ice cream and, unlike all of the other customers, told me to wait outside. After another 5-7 minutes and no ice-cream, I left and went next door to "This and That" where I found another rude business owner. Delhi seems to be filled with rude business owners. The "end of the pandemic" be damed - this town's businesses do not like to make money. I think they liked it better when nobody was around. I finally left with no ice-cream. Great place to have lunch at. Friendly owners and by far one of the best places I have been to since I have been here. I had the chicken tortellini soup which was one of the best I have had. I'd like to give the Blue Bee five stars. There is so much potential. It's a beautiful café, the baked goods are delicious and the food is usually good. The problem is the owner and the staff can be so unwelcoming and are not accommodating. I asked for their hash browns with some extra veggies thrown in and was given a plate of raw veggies on the side. When I told the server I thought they would be cooked, she asked the owner/chef and she refused to cook the veggies so I could add them to the potatoes (Crossroads Café has no problem doing this). On another visit, several staff members stood a few feet away talking while I mopped up my child's spill with tiny little napkins after they'd ignored my request for help. It's too bad, really... I want to love the Blue Bee, but I don't feel like giving them my business. @Stephanie, I would've PAID for an omelette if you would've been willing to cook the veggies and potatoes... My wife and I stopped in for lunch on Friday 10/19/18. It certainly was not crowded. There were perhaps 8-10 other patrons there besides us. We were given a booth and we ordered 2 different paninis, a water and an iced tea. The drinks were brought over fairly quickly. But how long should it take to make a couple of paninis? 10 minutes? 15 minutes? We waited around 30-40 minutes when the younger woman from behind the counter came over and asked if we were still waiting for our food. We said yes. She went back to the cook and I couldn't understand every word that was said, but did catch them disagreeing about our order. The younger woman then came back to us, quietly apologized and mumbled something about the order. Perhaps 15 minutes later our food finally came. We shared the two different paninis and the sides that came with it. We later picked out a cookie and a piece of cake. I have to say the food was truly delicious! Had it not been for the wait, I would be giving this 5 stars. On the other hand, had the food not be so good I would have given it 1 star. When I paid the bill, I was even honest enough to admit they forgot to charge us for the deserts. It actually would have been nice if they said the desserts were on the house because we had to wait so long for our food, but that wasn't the case. It really bothers me that the only apology we received was one that was half mumbled, and was not even from the woman who took our order or form the woman who did the cooking, whom I believe we were told was the owner (or manager?). read more

Approached the counter and we were rudely ignored by a young lady while she addressed a woman that was BEHIND us first. Apparently she knew this woman and I guess didn't know us. While waiting 15 minutes just to make eye contact with someone, the women behind the counter were just complaining about how busy they were and just shook their heads while filling a cup of coffee. I'm giving a great review. As I was visiting a friend in the area, I decided to stop into this very local, and hipster or Bohemian looking bookstore and cafe.I was greeted by a young man behind the counter (who very much so looked the part), and was then told to have a seat and he would take care of me. Hospitality seemed to be his strength as he was very friendly and patient with me as I tried to figure out the menu. I later found his name to be Henry, after asking him a few questions about the area. The tea menu was quite extensive, and he was very patient and knowledgable about the teas they had, and he even suggested a few. He seemed to be doing most of the work though, as his co-worker seemed to find more of an interest in drinking her juice behind the counter. He also prepared my entree, which was another one of his suggestions. Chicken on rosemary bread, with tomatoes, pesto, and cheddar. The sandwich was easily one of the best I've had in a while. Accompanied by one of the BEST servers I've experienced, this place is a must-do if you're in the area. A quiet little cafe where you can browse a bookstore and drool over the pastries and displays.
