I have been going here since it opened because the coffee is good. The baristas are getting worse. I waited 30 minutes for two specialty lattes, and received two normal lattes. Stopped in for coffee. My son wanted a croissant, egg sandwich (no cheese) & water. Needed to use the restroom. 31$ later we have coffee and egg sandwich -WITH CHEESE- and the most disgusting bathroom ever. Sometimes orders get mixed up, that's fine. He ate the cheese. I've recently come here a couple of times, and each time has been a very pleasant experience. Not only was the service fast and friendly, the coffee was excellent as well!!! I love a good pour over coffee or fancy latte with unique ingredients!!! Although this coffee shop is on the smaller size, I can understand why people spend a little time here reading, socializing, or working. This place has a very clean and accommodating vibe. The way they have this place laid out really gives the illusion that it's bigger than it is. Now, to address the elephant in the room. I'd be a fool if I didn't find this place extremely overpriced. Not only is the actual price ... priceyyyyy, the sizes of the coffees and lattes are a little disappointing. I know it's quality over quantity but come on. It'd be really nice if it took a little more than 5ish sips to finish my drink. With all of that being said, I still really enjoy this place and will "treat" myself to this upscale coffee from time to time. Oh ... and with regards to their bakery items. They're good, but I'd pass on them the next time and save my money for future beverages from here. read more

The shakerato is sooooo tasty. But $8 for what feels like a shot of coffee is kinda crazy. It should be bigger for that price. I know Starbucks is expensive but at least the sizes are a little more realistic. I ordered the waffles at the Prudential Center location, and was disappointed to find out that the one in Newton does not carry them yet. I opted for the sandwich which was good but again overpriced. This is not a realistic coffee shop for the money. I would come here once in a while to treat myself but $8 for a tiny coffee is not within my budget. read more

A friend who is a coffee connessoire sent me there. Customer service must not mean much to him. Some (not all) of the staff were snotty. My latte was lukewarm warm. The next day I realized I may have left my hat there. I tried to call but the number is for headquarters, in California . I could not leave a message they didn't have that option. Full disclosure; I generally like Blue Bottle quite a bit. However, this location does not have heavy cream. Though when I ordered my coffee "with a splash of heavy cream", the reply was "okay". I get there and she says "if it's not out yet, then it's not ready." I guess you're busy, but a better response could've been "sorry, it's been busy but it'll right out." Blue bottle is a solid cup of coffee. The place is cute on the inside and has lots of seating. Good to go to if you like doing work or studying at a coffee shop. There are a good amount of drink options as well as some pastries. They had scones, croissants, muffins, cookies, etc. The basic ones. I think they are more known for their coffee though. It does get a little hot in the store if you are sitting by a window because of all the sun coming in but there is shady seating as well. The coffee taste is good but no cup of coffee is worth feeling extremely taken/ ripped/off. No decaf cold brew so I needed to instead have an iced latte. One size 9 oz. Served in a hot coffee to go cup. If the appearance of what you serve wouldn't make it to your advertising why serve it. The breakfast sandwich / food selection is few.The English muffin breakfast sandwich was obviously microwaved. Cashier asked me if I wanted hot sauce , I said yes, but there want any on the sandwich. The microwaved rubbery sandwich would fail any taste test. Microwaved and rubbery without flavor. Can't imagine who could have been at any meeting approving that as a selection. The value is ridiculously awful. $15.25 for what you see here. Perhaps try having the appropriate iced coffee cups too. read more

This coffee shop was recommended to me by someone and I'm glad I tried it out. It hasn't been easy finding a coffee chain in Boston that actually has good espresso. The sweet latte was solid, though I couldn't really taste the syrup. I asked the barista what the "sweet" syrup was and they said it was kind of like brown sugar. We also ordered a mocha, which was pretty good! Its definitely not very sweet, but it has that legit cacao taste. The place has a sleek, modern aesthetic and easy parking. Staff were professional and friendly and engaging, recommended a great option when I was told they didn't carry my preferred drink, and were efficient in how quickly they made my order. I liked the interior - stark yet warm, if that makes sense. I stopped in this plaza and had to try their coffee. I got an iced sweet latte. Very nice and sweet but not overly sweet and also a strong hit of caffeine. I also tried a lemon danish - not that great, pretty dried out and it was only mid-morning. The lemon they used was nice though. Also picked up a container of overnight oats with nuts and sour cherries. Pretty good, although a bit pricey for the amount of oats. I enjoyed the coffee (which tbh should be the star of the show at a coffee place) so I'd definitely stop in again and try another of their caffeinated offerings. read more

Main thing that makes this place attractive is the atmosphere they cultivate. The design and layout of the coffee shop is simplistic and clean. A great place to either study, have a business meeting, and/or to just chill. Bougie but comfortable setting.
