Take a look at my $10 microwaved "sandwich." Despite the place looking like an apple store, the chocolate chip cookie was at least okay.

    Matcha latte

Stopped by for a quick drink at this bustling local cafe - I ordered an iced matcha latte. As a big matcha enthusiast, I was extremely disappointed by my drink, which honestly felt like I was just sipping on a glass of iced milk the whole time. Matcha flavour was weak and at times imperceptible, and for the (quite expensive) price I really expected a drink of much better quality. As a disclaimer I don't drink coffee (and indeed did not try their coffee) so I can't speak to any of their coffees, but it does seem like those are much more popular here.

    Liege Waffle, Hojicha Latte

Food: Omg I cannot believe I paid almost $6 for that disgusting, super dry chive scone. I was hungry + just paid $6 so I ate it but DO NOT GET. That thing is so dry, and flavorless and crumbly. The liege waffle was good though (but nothing special), and the Hojicha was also delicious and refreshing (I love Hojicha) but NOT worth $6. Service: Lol not impressed. The barista staff were unfriendly, barely smiled and pretty condescending. Wasn't a fan, overall I wouldn't come back for overpriced coffee and pastries when Harvard Sq has so many other yummy places. Also their tables were dirty haha. Would not come back.

Glad to have this Blue Bottle location open again. Spacious, clean, excellent knowledgeable baristas. Best of all one of the best coffee in town. Not a local roaster but they have great supply chain that maintain quality of their whole bean options.

Firstly, it's blue bottle, so the coffee is perfect. Secondly the cardamom latte is the best coffee drink period. It's sooo premium it makes up for the UNFORTUNATELY OBSCENE price and dry, tasteless baked goods like the scone pictured here. More importantly, ask for Zach--mans is a GOOD man. First time I gave my GOVERNMENT name in a coffee place. Shoutout to the hospitality. GET THIS MAN A RAISE! (Maybe also reconsider dropping the price in this latte and hiring a chef to improve the baked goods)

What an adorable little cafe I never knew existed! I was able to find prime parking yesterday which rarely happens in Harvard Square so I stopped here on a whim. You know it's a good place when it's packed at 10am on a Tuesday. My friend and I both tried their Black Cardamom Latte with oat milk and while yes, it was probably the most expensive little latte I've tried - I believe you get what you pay for and it was amazing. Not only was the beverage beautiful but the flavors were intense without being overpowering. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Can't wait to go back and try some of their pastries.

Decided to stop by this morning to grab a iced match latte with oat milk. Delicious drink, also love that they use paper straws and cups. The cafe is really nice (with minimalist decor) and well-lit. There is a decent amount of seating and good wifi, so it's a great place to study. It's not too crowded or busy on a Friday morning, would recommend checking out!

Great place to catch a drink and enjoy the Harvard campus. Coffee is great and the staff have their drinks down to a tee!

Great coffee! Nice bright space, even on a rainy day! Sat at a small table with a friend for a bit.

This is a coffee shop without outlets and without WiFi. Coffee is more than 5$ and it's not that great. Would. Not. Recommend.

Nice coffee and always fresh beans selection. Interior is uncomfortable. I always overhear the most cringeworthy conversations here.

I can honestly say it's one of the best little cafes we've ever visited. I had never tried ube before, and for anyone unfamiliar like I was, it's a purple yam. I ordered the Banana brulee Cold Foam, and it was incredibly refreshing and packed with the perfect blend of flavors, topped with fresh bananas. It was absolutely delicious! The bread completely surprised me. It was evenly baked, incredibly moist, and somehow crafted to pure perfection. The ice cream was a treat as well, but honestly, everything we tried was phenomenal. We can't wait until our next trip to Massachusetts just so we can enjoy a few more bites. I also loved the purple theme throughout the cafe, although maybe I'm a little biased since purple happens to be my birthstone! One of my favorite touches was the owners' book, where you can see pictures and learn more about their story. It really adds a personal touch to the experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we would definitely recommend this place for a quick snack, dessert, or beverage. There is some temporary street parking available as well. If you're in the area, Kuya Jay's Ube Cafe is absolutely worth a visit!

The wait wasn't too bad and the menu had a good selection of ube flavored drinks and treats. The spot is located in this public space with nice lighting and some seating. The area also does cooking classes and has some areas to study. I actually got two drinks to try both and they were tasty - not amazing, but not bad given the price. Overall, I didn't mind the experience, but I have seen some troubling things online regarding permits that deter me from coming back unfortunately. Drinks tasted fine though!

I've even popped into the photobooth on a quiet day, which was a fun experience. Today I ordered ahead and found a seat near the back. I went up to the pickup counter a few minutes before the estimated pickup time and watched as people got their orders. A few minutes after my pickup time when the rush died down a little (order status was still pending), I still didn't hear my name or see my strawberry lemonade and bagel sandwich on the counter so I checked in with an employee. I gave them my name and the employee gestured to a hot latte. It obviously wasn't my order so I asked again if there was an order for Deborah and again, the employee rather impatiently insisted that the latte was mine. I had to clarify my name again before they finally took a look at a bagel that had been sitting right in front of them. They didn't even apologize and said something about someone else taking my strawberry lemonade before finally making me my drink. My drink was good but my sandwich was lukewarm. Weird interaction that left a bad taste. I've never had a strong reason to come back to Diesel but I now have a reason to stay away.
