It's a bit pricey $11 for the Sandwich and $4 for Lemonade but 10/10 for taste. Service was okay. The ambiance is nice and chill. They had a crowd of people coming in and out the two days I came. Stopped in for a quick bite before the NB indoor invitationals. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor in both the latte and breakfast burrito! I I spent 7.50 for a moca latte which I think is probably the going rate. I was looking for my chocolate coffee fix. There is a coffee place near my health club that I had to give a try. Kochi Coffee comp has a small seating area forthose who seek to enjoy their coffee and selection of sandwiches. Coffee was good, but the fluid fantastic. I asked for and was peak by the grilled cheese, which has sauerkraut and sweet. It was a perfect combination of cheesy sour sweet and crunchy with a little spice but not greasy. The other recommendation was for the salted chocolate chip cookie. Crispy around the edge and soft in the middle. Not overly sweet. It was still warm which made it even more delicious. The staff member I met was pleasant and helpful. If you're a hockey player and fan like I am, then chances are you're familiar with Boston Landing. Home to the New Balance campus as well as Warriors Ice Arena, Boston Landing has a lot to offer. One of the offerings in Boston Landing is directly next to Warriors Ice Arena - A cafe called Kohi Coffee. As a skater and someone who frequents Boston Landing for their wellness offerings, I feel as if I have been generous and hopeful in giving Kohi chance after chance. Finally, after the 3rd time I tried them, I decided no more. The Lattes and coffees offered at Kohi are overpriced and have never been amazing to me. I haven't had a latte here yet that isnt burnt or missing crucial ingredients to make it edible (in my humble opinion). The service at Kohi has always been rushed and unfortunately very blunt. I don't think I've seen one person smile here. Ever. It's a shame since it's such a convenient location for wellness enjoyers alike - especially with everything that is offered on the Boston Landing campus. I'm absolutely obsessed with their NOLA coffee, hot or iced. It never misses, it hits every time! It's that good.

Cute cafe that's great for studying too! Overall their menu is creative and I love getting their Grilled Cheese (the sauerkraut is such a game changer). Decided to try their seasonal Miso Caramel Latte this time and I'd give it a 3.7/5. It tasted more caramel-y, hardly any miso flavor. Very sweet too which isn't really my preference. The interior is small but the decor is hipster and modern - just wish they had more tables instead of the booth in the back. There's no qualms about their service either, the cashier was polite and our food was delivered relatively quickly. Overall, Kohi is a great little cafe which never disappoints with their creative menu. read more

Quality has plummeted in recent years! Service has gone way down. I ordered an ice latte and the barista skipped my order. When I asked about my order, I was asked, "Did you order that?" Right at Allston Yards, near the New Balance, is a coffee shop called Kohi, small and modern with decent seating, where they brew some really balanced cappucino, americano, and some amazing pour-overs, the latter of which if you can spare some time for the process to result in a tasteful outcome. The service depends on the barista, when sometimes you get a friendly person and other times you may not. Still would recommend if you enjoy the flavor of good espresso and single origin coffee. read more

I like to try a coffee shop I have never tried. I was yelping and found this one. It caught my eyes, because "Kohi" is a Japanese word meaning coffee. It indeed is coming from Japanese word, according to their website, but I couldn't figure out why. Anyway I had cappuccino and sweet maple scone. Cappuccino was really good. I sensed coffee's acidity. Maybe people who like non-acid type coffee don't like it. Scone is not too sweet like other American stereotypical ones: it was good. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a latte. They do not have specialty lattes which is a little disappointing. The one they did have was the NOLA latte, with brown sugar (the coffee beans are Chicory, if I remember correctly). I got that one, and it was quite good. Pleasantly strong yet sweet. Great combination! Service was quick, you order at the counter. Plenty of seats but no private chairs/tables. They do have the space, a few small chairs and tables would be a welcome addition. The only reason I'm docking a star is because their menu is quite limited. I love a simple and satisfying cafe meal - I'm thinking a slice of quiche or paninis or wraps. I walked into the business this morning 5 minutes before they opened (7:55am). The dude at the register was very rude and told me they don't open until 8. No problem, I can wait. So I walked back to my car, waited 5 minutes, and walked back in. He gave me an attitude, and said "Let me finish up somethings and then I will be right with you." I said okay no worries. He finally took my order, and made me a lukewarm latte, which was not special at all. I was so excited to have a latte this morning, and was so disappointed in the service, and quality of the drink. Fees like the objective is not to sell coffee but rather to hang out in weird, shitty used clothes and judge the people who buy things from you. Amazing place for some quality specialty coffee. First of all, the location is awesome with a variety of seating, calm coffee shop music and a gentle buzz of chatter. Second, I got a pour over that was Ah May Zing. They use Tandem coffee which is always amazing. Today they had two different medium roasts and I got the single origin one from Honduras. Such a cute coffee shop with large widows and industrial design. I tried the pour over coffee and it was delicious - nothing like I've ever had before. It's floral and fruity, with a pleasant acidity. Almost like drinking a dark fruity juice. I was actually in the mood for a small pastry - they had some scones, muffins, and banana bread, but didn't have any croissant/tarts etc. so I passed on a it.... Solid NOLA cold brew coffee when you add simple syrup/raw sugar and cinnamon. Initial taste is sour with some fruity flavors but thankfully no bitterness and left no after taste. A lot more character than your average Starbucks and Dunkies but for $4.25 for a 12oz NOLA cold brew already half filled with almond milk, only worth it for the splurge. Clean and simple interior with very good lighting. You'll find the area of the long table where everyone takes the Kohi Coffee picture without a hitch. Young staff. They may not have Kohi biscuits ($5, which they've raised from $4) by 8AM because they're still getting it ready after a 7AM open time. Cue rant: Kohi definitely fits the vibe of the growing Boston Landing area. Hipster and with expensive but decent/cool coffee. If you've seen IT Crowd, the guy at the front looks like Maurice but without the humor and all the bore. The coffee and ambience here are perfect! I tried the NOLA iced coffee which was really good -- I don't know of any other cafes in Boston that offer this type of coffee. It has a more minimalistic/sleek vibe compared to hipster cafes targeted towards college kids (I see you Pavement, Render, etc) which I appreciate. A good place to get some work done, outlets and wifi readily available. Not too crowded (but also not empty) on a Wednesday morning. It is pretty out of the way from Boston/Allston/Brighton, as it's in a newly constructed/renovated area behind the Warrior Ice Arena. Getting here was kind of weird -- I had to go through the Stop & Shop shopping plaza to get to this street. However, I would definitely recommend making the trek out here at least once if you're a local coffee connoisseur looking for a new place to check out! read more
