This new location just two blocks down from where it used to be is a lot nicer. The store is well lit and the floor no longer makes you feel like you're in a warehouse. Blue Boutique is one of the better costume/lingerie stores in the area because of its wide selection. I am not comparing them to Victoria's Secret, but other stores that specialize in costume, lingerie wear, toys, etc. They've got a range of clothing sizes for more petite, middle range, and plus size ladies. They carry regular bedroom wear, costumes (great for Halloween!), wigs, and games/gifts/toys for occasions such as bachelorette parties. Though the items aren't super cheap (well, you don't want to trade off quality for price), the fabrics and garments are well-made. I can't rave enough about Blue Boutique, particularly this location. I was about to lose my shit because all of my bras were riding all the way up my shoulder blades and were clearly the wrong size. I have a really weird band size, and knew it was a long shot that to find anything in a shop and would likely have to special order. From the second I walked in, Slobhan and Jade were instantly there to help me. They re-measured me, found the perfect size (28E, which was astonishing that there were even options). They truly went above and beyond, even helping me put on more difficult ones and adjusting it to ensure it was a perfect fit. I visited this location with my Maid of Honor today in hopes of finding a bridal shower veil. One a little more fun I guess you can say. Since the purchase was being made from the 21 + area we didn't open the packaging when at the store. When we arrived home in BouNtiful we opened the pAckaging. UpOn opening the veil material was stuck together in the shape of the fold but we thought it was due to being folded for so long. When attempting to shake everything out we noticed the veil was stuck this way due to a manufacturers error. You could see the glue used to attach the "decorations" had bleed all the way through. I called the store and spoke to the sales representative ( whom also consulted with the manager) both decided they were "sorry but that there is nothing we can do". No offer to replace it, discount another one, return it, nothing. They were though "sorry but there is nothing they can do". With a wedding only 7 days away I refuse to ruin things for me but I did feel that this should be shared. There is ALWAYS something that can be done if you at least try. read more

This is typically my first stop when a less conventional by Utah standards friend is getting married. I love the selection of lingerie and sexy time games here. I can't really speak much for the toys, but many friends have received lingerie and games as bachelorette gifts from here, and always seem to love them. The staff is friendly and helpful. Sometimes I need help finding a good gift for a friend who is a bit more conservative, and the staff is always able to help find something on the less wild and kinky side. On the contrary, it is very easy to find great gifts for those who you know are probably a bit more "flirtatious" we will say. So I came in here on a Tuesday afternoon mostly just looking around to see their selection of costumes. They have basically every frilly, leather, and silly costume you can imagine and it's all so cute and sexy you want to buy everything! I ended up catching a glimpse of the wigs behind the counter but I didn't imagine I could try one on. They offered if I wanted to and gave me a sanitary wig cap and let me try on over half a dozen wigs! They gave me honest opinions and were so unbelievably friendly in the most genuine way. Overall super awesome! The only thing I was left wondering was where they had all the more obvious sex toys. I saw their extensive collection of lube and games but no real toys. I feel tricked! This place is not ideal for gifts. A friend and I couldn't decide between two pieces of lingerie for a bridal shower gift. It's tough to buy something so intimate for someone else who isn't there to give input! The girls at the registry assured us we could get both and just return the one that didn't work. When I went to return the lingerie, they wouldn't give me back my money. Store credit only!!! I couldn't believe they would encourage me to get both and fail to mention that I couldn't get my money back. They knew my intention was to return one!!! Now I have a gift card for $70 that I'm not sure I will ever use. Also the prices are not cheap. For a gift, I would recommend shopping at a better established chain that allows returns.
