Captain Tom made our boat tour awesome by adding lots of information from his lifetime of experience living in the area! We were impressed by how much we could see over the hour and 45 min ride and loved the seals! It's a must do while visiting Cape Cod.

Captain Rob was a delight - lots of seals, great conversation, and a nice ride enjoyed by all. Thank you!

Nature at its best. A seagull with its dinner.

Best way to finish our vacation in Cape Cod. Beautiful evening harbor cruise with Captain Rob. This is our second year touring with Blue Claw and loved both tours. Last year, we did a seal watch tour - incredible. This year, we did the harbor cruise. Both were wonderful for kids. The harbor cruise put an exclamation mark on the week for me. It was peaceful and beautiful and anchored why I love the Cape so much. Beauty, nature, family, and friends. Captain Rob was incredibly knowledgeable and funny too. Take a look at either tour if you're looking for a great experience while on the Cape. Blue Claw team - thank you for another amazing visit. Til we see you next time, stay safe and well. Thank you for the memories!

Amazing trip with Captain Rob for an hour and forty minute seal watch in August. There were 10 people on this intimate boat and we brought our two little girls (ages 2 and 4). This was the right length of time for our girls who loved it! We saw 100+ seals and the tour of the area was wonderful! We'd definitely go again! Tips: apply sunscreen before (not allowed to apply on board)

Great experience to see seals in the wild. Our captain was very informative and I highly recommend Blue Claw Boat Tours. They have small groups per boat, which is a plus!

My family recently went on our second trip with Blue Claw boat tours while my 2.5yr old niece was in town visiting from NC. We had a wonderful time, Captain Rob is great - very informative with the areas history and interesting facts to share about the Chatham seal population while being surrounded by them if the tide is right. We also went during Shark Week this year the day after The Return of Jaws aired, it was a very informative couple of days. We will definitely be back!

I had a party of 9 people go on one of these seal watching tours and had a fantastic time. Captain Jeff was a wealth of information for the local area on history and current information. The highlight of the tour was of course the seals. They were absolutely mesmerizing and had a boat full of adults in awe trying to watch them. We got to see them up close in the water, as well as laying out on the beach. I would definitely recommend the trip, but dress warm!

Great tour. Saw lots of seals and enjoyed our fast boat ride. Our 4-year-old loved it, too.

The Good: *About a twenty minute drive from gorgeous Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. *Staff was friendly *You're not stuck in your seat for the entire journey as you're free to move about once the boat gets going. *About as close as one can get to the puffins without going on the island they hangout. *Overall, it was a really fun boat ride and you get to see some neat stuff. The Meh: *It's not cheap at $51/adults (13+) and Kids (2-12) *They have a representative from National Audibon on the boat which is awesome--but you can't hear a weird she says thru their archaic "sound" system. Between the waves and engine noise, she could've been reading the dictionary for all we know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Meh: *Their "off-site" parking lot is definitely just that--off-site! It's a good 10min walk from the parking to the pier, but that's not even the worst of it. You have to walk on a two-lane road with almost no shoulder and lots of curves, so definitely be aware of your surroundings. Or it'll coy-tains for you, see? Coy-tains! *And--as if the above wasn't bad enough--they have the gall to charge you $20 for the pleasure of parking there. -_- Conclusion: Fun ocean adventure to see the puffins--but be prepared to crack open your wallet for this pleasure.

The captain was great and slowed the boat down, when he saw wildlife. Our trip was perfect - perfect weather and so many creatures to see. We saw more birds than I can remember or name. LOL Of course we saw Puffins!! They are very cute, tiny and fast! Bring decent camera if you are going to try to get pictures of them in flight. The boat was buzzing with excitement when we saw them. They slow the boat down and drive slowly around the island so that both sides of the boat can get a chance to see and take pictures of the birds and researchers on the island. During our trip out - we saw a gigantic sunfish and a few pods of porpoises and many seals/sea dogs. So cute!!!! There is a bathroom on board (I didn't try it). They also have a galley, where you can buy food and snacks and souvenirs. We didn't buy anything. There is an upper deck and lower deck. We sat on the upper deck, since it was a beautiful day and there were still seats left. Definitely wear sunscreen and a hat and make sure the hat fits tight or is tether to your clothing. The wind gets pretty strong as they speed up. If you have trouble with motion sickness, you definitely should take precautions. They had staff with vomit bags ready. They prefer kids not vomit over the edge if possible. LOL Total time on the boat is about 2.5 hours. It takes about an hour to get to Easter Egg island. Parking - if you are ok to walk...you may want to try to parking other than where they recommend - which is literally right at the boat dock. The convenience is great - however, it's $50 to park and they pack cars in TIGHT. When we do this again, we will definitely find another lot to park and walk from. There's plenty of cool shops to stop in as well on the way to and from the boat dock. If you like the ocean, boats and wildlife. I think you would like this cruise. We did!

For $100 (cash or check only), you receive a 55-minute narrated boat tour, a bonafide Downeast feast (fish chowder, 1 lb. of steamers, 2 lobsters, corn on the cob, a baked potato, an onion, a hard-boiled egg, a large piece of blueberry cake & either coffee, tea, iced tea or water). You can purchase sodas ($2) or alcoholic beverages. We indulged in the light & tasty Cabbage Island Aide ($10), with Pinnacle blueberry vodka, pink lemonade & a splash of club soda garnished with Maine blueberries. Only cash is accepted for drinks and gift shop purchases. After finding a picnic table, either indoors or out, your server will take your drink order & bring your fish chowder. Shortly afterwards, the dinner bell will ring & you head down to the pit where the food is cooked to pick up your meal. Our delightful young server, Griffin, graciously offered to pick up our trays & bring them to our table. He remained attentive & solicitous the entire time we were there. We couldn't have asked for better service. There is a gratuity jar on each table. Tip generously! These kids do a fabulous job! We were also pleased that the two Moore brothers who have owned this family business for 38 years stopped by every table individually to ensure that all were having a good time. And at the end of the day, they stood on the dock waving as our boat left Cabbage Island. Such a gracious gesture! I'm looking forward to making this an annual event. Please be aware, though, that parking is expensive in Boothbay Harbor. There is metered street parking, if you can find an open spot, but be prepared to walk a distance to the ticket booth. Close by lot parking cost $50.
