My dog, who we got shortly after our older son passed away, will soon be 19. She's my first dog and she's seen our family through the hardest of times. But she's grown old, and is growing tired. I've been very fortunate to have found the folks here who are willing to show Molly the love and respect she deserves. I've been taking my dogs to Blue Collar Dog Services since they opened because that's where our favorite groomer from Petco moved to. I recently took my Maltipoo and Shihpoo there for a bath and groom. I made an appointment online two weeks ahead of time and requested a specific person. When I dropped them off everything was as it normally is and I knew they were in good hands. I was wrong this time. My fiancé picked them up while I was at work, and when I got home I was shocked to see that Pollie looked NOTHING like herself(Pennie looked great, the usual cut that I get for both of my girls). They had shaved her down to almost nothing ALL OVER. I didn't understand why- no one had called me to say there was an issue, so why did they shave all of her hair off? The next day I called and asked to speak with the manager. Melissa(I believe she is one of the owners) came to the phone and I asked her what happened. She told me that the groomer I requested was overbooked so Bo did Pollies hair. I asked her why I was not notified when the appointment was booked and/or when they were dropped off(as my dogs get anxious with strangers) and she said- "she didn't know that it was a request". This was only the beginning of the excuses Melissa would give me. Every response she gave me made it seem as if it were my fault for the booking mishap(even though I received an appointment reminder and confirmed it- as well as a personal phone call from them about my upcoming appointment). She also had the nerve to tell me that "I asked for their hair to be cut short". I NEVER asked for that, and their regular groomers know exactly how to cut their hair. At this point I knew that if she was willing to lie then I was wasting my time. I told her that Pollies haircut looked awful and far from professional, and that's when Melissa really showed her bias for Bo. Neither of them would admit that he did a horrible job, but what's worse is that she never even apologized. I could say a lot more about this experience, but I think the reason for my low rating of this business is clear- poor customer service, extreme lack of professionalism, and no compassion whatsoever are just the tip of the iceberg. read more

Blue Collar has been grooming my dog for years. They have always been very gentle with my hyper little guy. They always listen to instructions of how I want his grooming depending on the season. Prices are low compared to other grooming facilities. Hands down great place to have your dog groomed. Great customer service!!!!! read more

Best groomer around! They have great prices, I spent a little over $30 on my husky mix's bath, brushing, nails, and ears! Love that you get a text when your pup is ready to be picked up. These groomers are extremely professional and great with accommodating different dogs needs! read more

My grand puppy went here and received a terrible haircut from Bow. Additionally, the groomer was told that my little girl had a slight injury to her leg from which she was recovering. After service, she had to go straight to vet as her injury was significantly worse. read more

I adopted a senior shih tzu with severely collapsed trachea, a heart murmur, and crippling anxiety in February. His foster had let his coat become diffusely matted. The groomer at my vet required full sedation and intubation in order to shave him all the way down in March. Afterward, the same groomer told us they would ONLY groom him if he was fully sedated and intubated every time... and would only cut him apl the way down. Not only is this expensive ($500) but also very dangerous for an elderly dog. He was traumatized for weeks. It took so long for him to trust me and build trust. I refused to take him back to that groomer. I started looking online for reviews that specifically mentioned older, special needs;, or difficult dogs. Blue Collar's clients raved about them. Now I know why. I was so worried they would turn my dog away for being too difficult - he is very afraid of anything near his face. Beau took incredible care of him and he looks like a puppy again! I'm looking forward to establishing a regular grooming routine and Blue Collar is the only place I'll ever take him as long as they'll have us. Blue Collar Dog Service has terrible customer service. We requested Julia and/or Sierra take care of our girls as they have been thier groomers for many years before Blue Collar was even around. We even booked their appointment weeks in advance. To our dismay and without notification, one of the girls was groomed by Bo, who I assume must be the owner. Bo did not take the time to style our dog, rather he just unevenly buzzed her in an obvious rush job. He is a horrible groomer with no attention given to detail. When we raised our concerns with management they did not care. They made excuses and didn't offer an apology. To make matters worse Bo's ego was so bruised he was extremely rude and forced us to take our money back and requested we find a new groomer. This is not what we wanted, we wanted our girls to continue with Sierra/Julie as they have been for years. This is no different than going to the same hairstylist for years and then one day a random guy comes up and cuts your hair without asking. Then when you tell him HE did a bad job, he then gets upset and bans you from seeing your normal stylist. I recommend avoiding this shady businessman at all costs. read more

I took my two fluffy Great Pyrenees here for a grooming right before Thanksgiving. Even though they were extremely busy they took their time with my two dogs who were very nervous since they have not been groomed often. With my anxiety high about dropping them off before hand , when we arrived due to COVID they came out and got them. Once getting them out they introduced themselves to the dogs and gave them time to feel comfortable with them, after that my anxiety went away knowing they are in good hands. When I picked them up they look GORGEOUS. My one didn't behave well and they couldn't complete the full grooming and they gave me a discount on the groom because of this. After getting the dogs in the car, the groomer came out and talked to me how we can work together to get them more comfortable with coming and how it will take time but they are willing to work with me and my diva pups. This place went above and beyond in my opinion to accommodate my dogs and had their best interest in mind. I will be bringing my big babies back here for a groom! read more
