Just purchased our 2022 Highland Ridge Olympia Sport 19BH, from RV One of Sarasota. Ron was our salesperson. (Not Brian , but he's great too.) No high pressure sales, which is nice. We were shown all the features, and we made comparisons between the different models they have on site. Ron is an RV'r so he knows what's involved with what it takes to go camping. He can answer any questions you have and usually knows the answers, if not he'll find out for you. We were not pressured to buy anything extra we didn't need, or want. Ron also has helpful hints, advice, and tips. He even came in on his own time, to get us set up with the finance agent. Everyone we dealt with at this dealership, was helpful and kind. The young man that did our PDI with us, and final walk through, was very through. He also answers any questions you have about the mechanics of your RV. Take a video of the hitch and unhitch process, with the sway bars, if you are unfamiliar with it. Trust me, it's a great reference when you need to do it on your own. We haven't needed to use their service department yet, so I can not speak to how they handle issues. I'll update this review if we need to use their service department. read more

The biggest mistake purchasing an RV from Blue Compass in Sarasota. They sold me I warranty for $10,000 that I've not been able to get any repairs done. I suggest not doing any business with Blue Compass RV. read more

Horrible experience at Blue Compass! Do Not do business with Blue Compass!!! Every time my rv was in for warranty work, items were stolen from my rv. I want all my items returned to me immediately! Coffee, toothpaste, white ceramic container, tv remote, North Carolina placemats...! I blame Megan, being she's the only woman who went into our rv. Megan never returned my calls or emails. She must be mentally incompetent! Megan needs to be fired!!! I've spoken to other Blue Compass customers in my neighborhood, and they had horrible experiences with Blue Compass and Megan too. My husband said the roof repair of our Jayco, was not done to his satisfaction. I'm disgusted and disappointed in Megan. read more

Service department is the worst. First Meghans a joke never returns a call or gets anything done. 1st time in for minor issues they pushed to seal outside and roof said if I didntit would void warranty. We're told its done but nothing was finished waited hours. They got water in heater and ruined it. 2nd time fixed heater and pulled loose wires now refrigerator didn't work. DO NOT TRUST BLUE COMPASS RV - THEY SOLD ME A DEFECTIVE RV AND DON'T CARE ABOUT MY WELL-BEING! My name is Adam Rosema, and my experience with Blue Compass RV has been a nightmare. I purchased an RV from their Sarasota location on July 16, 2024, and picked it up on July 20, 2024. Within just 3 days, major defects appeared, but the store manager, Patrick Calabro, has refused to take any responsibility despite knowing about my critical health situation. This has caused immense financial and emotional distress, and I want to warn others. I bought the RV as part of my recovery plan, having battled severe health issues, including an autoimmune disease. The stress from the RV issues has only worsened my condition. Instead of helping me simplify my life, Blue Compass sold me a defective RV, adding stress and financial burden to my life. Timeline of issues: July 20, 2024: Picked up the RV. July 23, 2024: "Clean Fuel Filter" warning appeared. The RV had no fuel cap, leading to severe rust damage. July 26, 2024: I contacted the salesman, Ron Gollaher, about this, and he joked instead of offering help. August 4-10, 2024: The RV had a kitchen leak, the generator quit, the pop-out slider got stuck, and the water system failed. I was treated dismissively by the staff, including Patrick, Ron, and Eric Bures. August 18, 2024: The engine failed while driving, leaving me stranded for hours. August 20, 2024: After a difficult ordeal, the RV was finally towed to Mercedes-Benz for repairs. August 21, 2024: RV Complete denied coverage for the repairs. The stress from this news worsened my health. September 30, 2024: Mercedes-Benz discovered that the entire fuel system needed replacing due to pre-existing rust damage, adding $29,500 to the repair bill. Patrick Calabro has refused to take responsibility, even though the issues started just 3 days after purchase. I bought an extended warranty for $14,000, but RV Complete refused to cover the repairs. This RV still has severe leaks, a malfunctioning generator, a stuck slider, and a broken refrigerator. Impact on my health and finances: I planned to use the RV to reduce stress and recover, but instead, the ongoing issues have worsened my autoimmune condition. My mother even came out of retirement to help finance the RV, but it has become a massive burden. Blue Compass knew about my health struggles and treated me with indifference. Blue Compass manipulates their ratings by pressuring buyers to leave positive reviews, but don't be fooled. My experience shows they will sell you a defective vehicle and refuse to honor warranties. If you're considering buying from Blue Compass RV, RUN THE OTHER WAY! read more

Avoid at all costs. Terrible experience in so many ways. Very long story, but take my word, you do not want to come here. Experienced a drunk employee more than once. Forced to return for a warrantee issue and it's impossible to get anything done. An extended warranty is completely useless. You will only waste your time and money coming here. If you value your time, money and want to deal with genuine people that actually care and aren't liars or downright drunks...don't come here. I'm warning you from one RV owner to another, do NOT come here. No matter how much $$$ you spend and how understanding and patient you are, this place will rip you off and/or completely waste your time. Worst experience since moving to FL. As a first time RV purchaser - we've heard all the horror stories and experienced a few along the way. Crazy high pressure, lies, commitments that will never be meet and then changes in the deal at the closing table. With RV One is Sarasota we didn't experience any of that! We dealt with Samantha Williams (who was great) and she was great communicating with us. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of her control, we had to cancel but she was awesome to work with. I still wanted to write this because before going to RV One we were working with another dealer in Northwest Florida who at the last minute tried to change the price after we agreed on a deal. The explanation was that there was a price increase going into effect and we had to pay it regardless of the fact that it didn't effect the RV we had agreed on already. When we went to RVOne they immediately honored their price without any shady tactics! They made it easy and were very accommodating! Unfortunately, timing and other issues on our end didn't work out. I would totally recommend RVOne in Sarasota - especially Samantha Williams - for people looking to buy an RV. read more

My husband and I just put a deposit on a fifth wheel from Blue Compass RV of Sarasota. We found the salesperson, Gessica, to be extremely accommodating and professional without sales pressure. We certainly appreciated that. We also found Randy, the sales manager, to be accomidating as well. We are doing our PDI in a few days and will then hopefully take ownership. RV One Fort Myers Wow, where to start. There were so many issues with RV One Fort Myers, that I lost track. Starting on the first day, when I agreed to a price with the sales manager (over email) for a specific RV. Then he passed me onto a sales person, who told me the price was $15,000 higher than what I was told from the sales manager. I should have walked away at that point, but stupidly I did not. After sending the sales rep the email conversations, he reluctantly agreed to the price I already agreed to with the manager. Then the next problem ... I live 7 hours away from RV One Fort Myers, and I wanted to purchase it over Memorial Day weekend. I only wanted ONE TRIP up there to inspect the RV, pay for it, and drive off. The salesman assured me that would work fine. When I arrived up there, he then told me their service / prep depart was closed, so I would have to come back another weekend to pick it up. He told me this AFTER I drove 7 hours, and AFTER he promised I would be able to drive it off the lot over the long weekend. Total sham. Again, I should have walked away, but I am a moron, so I did not. It seemed the salesman's only words from this point on were "I need a credit card for deposit" and "did you wire the money yet". The most unprofessional, and stereotypical slimy tactics. Upon pickup (after driving up there AGAIN), I discovered that the alignment was jacked, the house batteries were completely dead, and they damaged the oven handle during "prep". They were "nice enough" to wrap the handle with duct tape. When I asked if they were going to fix the other items, they showed me the contract that all suckers/customers sign when buying from RV One - it says NO WARRANTY, AS IS. This is a brand new 2020 RV, and they WILL NOT fix anything on it. Even the things they broke. Before I drove off the lot, they said to call the service department tomorrow, and they would order a new oven handle. Like a sucker, I believed them. Drove off, then their service department ignored all my emails and phone calls. On my (long) drive home, I also discovered a major LP Gas leak. I was able to find and fix it quickly with soapy water ... during prep the gas lines were not tightened correctly. Shocker. This was an extremely dangerous mistake they made. Luckily, the RV company Nexus stands behind its products, even though RV One does not. I have been working directly with Nexus, who is paying for the numerous repairs needed. Bottom line, I was an idiot for ignoring SO MANY red flags with this dealer (there were so many issues that I had to call Nexus to ensure that RV One Fort Myers was in fact a legitimate dealer). I was suckered in with a discount from RV One, but honestly it was not worth all the hassle. Be sure to read every line in any contract with RV One ... take notice of the NO WARRANTY, AS - IS on their contracts for new RVs. read more

We bought our RV from another dealer in Fort Meyers and needed some service before we took it out 1st time. Ft Meyers is an hour and half (and we felt the experience in Ft Meyers was to their benefit, not ours) and RV One is 20 minutes. Chuck & the service team could not have been nicer and more helpful. We wished we had bought the RV from them. Chuck and the service dept went out of there way so we could go on our planned 1st outing. Went in to trade in my travel trailer and met Ron in sales. He was no pressure, highly informative and considered him more of a consultant then a sales person. As a sales recruiter for a major medical device company Ron is the type of candidate that makes customers happy by not pushing what he wants you in but the camper that will fit your family. Sold a travel trailer to rv one almost 5 weeks ago. Signed over title and they took the trailer. I have yet to receive my money. I have emailed them on several occasions and either get no response or lip service that they are looking into it. I have hired a lawyer to try and get a response from them. They are thieves and treat disabled veterans, seniors, and widows poorly. I am all three. Guess they figure if they ignore me, I will go away. read more

we bought a new forrest river camper with twin air conditioners. upon getting the unit home and leveled, we tried to get the air on, and found that 1 of the units did not work, this was on a saturday, could not get any dealer help. tried again on monday to get dealer help was told, no one was in service till tuesday. went to a mobile service company to help us with the problem, and was told that the air unit needed to be replaced, and not to worry that they would handle the warranty with colman. i did call forrest river, and was told they would help with any warranty work, a very nice company. rv one surely does not know us or want to help us with our problems once they take our money. i have called and left a message for patrick, the manager, and am currently am on hold for the last 20 minutes to see if i can speak to him. surely make sure everything works, because they do not check the units out before delivery. remember this was a new 2021 unit, not used read more
