I was promised a discount for letting the dealership arrange financing, but when credit locks required me to secure my own loan through USAA, they failed to mention that would cost me over $1,000 in discounts--something I only discovered after driving three hours to finalize the deal. When I asked them to make it right, even with a $500 military discount, I was flatly denied. The salesperson couldn't answer basic questions and even sent me a photo of another customer's $104K check! After requesting a call from the General Manager, he was apparently too busy to respond. We bought a Flagstaff in the summer and stored it a couple miles away from Campbells. First thing you do is to ask for Dan Ali !!! He was amazing. We went through two new salespersons at Campbell because we didn't have the name of a sales people. The first two were nice and all but the third one, Dan Ali wasn't new at all and Dan was amazing! After Hurricane Milton, they helped us get the new camper out of storage place with a lot with trees. The truck got stuck in the mud and it was a mess. The camper had a gouge in caulk and a small hole in only the top part of the roof. Their service was 3 weeks out but they plugged the hole and cleaned the whole camper in 24 hours so we could get it to the RV park. In an industry that looks at dollars over anything the folks at Campbell RV are an anomaly. We had a serious failure of our house batteries, reached out via their website and quickly got a positive result that they could help. Anyone with an RV knows you usually wait months for service, but not here. Turn around was prompt. Customer service was excellent. Jerome was the mastermind and he made us feel included in the process. We learned a lot from them. The batteries took longer than expected and needed parts welded which they did no problem, but only after explaining the situation to us. After the batteries we mentioned we wanted a propane connector installed to run our grill of the RV propane. They looked at the rig, discussed options and ordered us the part right away. There interest rates are to high, I got 8.5% and it should have been 7.5% The "KID" that showed us how too operate the travel trailer know less than I did. I asked to have the battery checked because that was a concern of mine when I purchased the trailer, they sent a tech over with a voltage meter.(if you know anything about testing a battery you need a load tester) Then they showed me how to hook up the weight distribution hitch incorrectly. They didn't even help me check the directional signals or the stop lights. All they wanted was to get me off the lot. read more

I'm very very disappointed!!! They are not studded by they installation warranty (90 days) They install our new generator( Cummins ). March 13 2022 .First time we use was and of March in a dry camping. Smoke every where , shutting down , can't handle any equipment, AC, Micro, Coffee machine! We cut our trip short because our animals can't handle the heat with out the AC. Take it back they straight refuse to even look at the issue that may caused by the installation. They stated because we did not ordered through them they are not responsible. Meaning it may happen something during shipment. Which is not the case. It was properly wrapped and placed on pallet by the other dealer and Campbell RV removed and installed. Send us to a Tampa location certified service. ( don't even bother to use them for any service, same service) NON.Now we almost cought on fire gasoline get to the engine mixed up with the oil. I wonder if leave the RV with our animals in there with the running AC and the and this happen! RV was full of smell of gasoline! Smoke detector came on! Tampa and Cummins service stated it happened because of the wrong installation! Which Campbell RV provided and not even bother to look at it after 2 weeks installation! Now they stating they have 90 days warranty and is way pass! Now where is the truth?!! It cost as $8,000.00 and all the canceled trips in one year!!!Just because CAMPBELL RV SERVICE don't want to look in they warranty time. We have evidence and witnesses to go to court. Oh and they one us to pay $900.00 for this service till that we can't have our RV back . This a major reap off it make me sick ! Please void this dealer ( service ) they are not worth it!!!! Dan the salesman was cordial, patient and informative. No pressure. He worked out a deal we were happy with on a nice camper. I gave a deposit and let him know I needed a few days for financing but if I could not get financing within a week I would pay cash. His manager sold the RV out from under me the following morning. It is obvious Campbell RV cares more about profit than its customers. I'm glad that I found this out before actually doing business with them. Dan didn't even get that sale after he spent his whole afternoon with us. Any decent RV places in Sarasota, call Dan. He deserves to work for someone decent. read more

Biggest rip off and worst experience I have had nationally with an RV dealership. We had our RV serviced at Campbell RV in Sarasota on 3-29-22. I watched Nancy get in to check the mileage and lower the driver door window, she said it was so that they didn't lock the keys inside...I should have immediately drove away with that incompetence. They said they replaced the pinion seal on the leaking rear end, along with sealing a roof leak and a diagnostic fee to tell me the parts not available to repair the generator. The total was $1,015.76. They left the driver's door window open for three days and sand covered the dash, instrument panel, center console, door panels and seats...thank you very much. I asked about the warranty and Nancy told me it was 30 days, I told her the RV was going to sit for the next three months until we drive it to MI in July...she laughed when I said I thought it should be longer. Got to MI on July 12 and moved the RV for the first time today August 6, the rear end leaks worse than it ever has. If you take your RV to Campbell RV after reading this review, you deserve to get ripped off just like I did. read more

I cringe every time I go by Campbell RV off of 75. Do yourself a favor and pass this place up! I still have such hard feeling about this dealership who tried to pass off a big infested moldy 5th wheel on us after losing almost everything we owned in Irma in the Keys. We were ready to get media involved and FEMA who gave us a small loan to buy another rv. To this day, I strongly believe they thought we were given free money from FEMA and wanted to take advantage of us. They lied and thought they were making it right for us, but it still left a very bad taste in our mouths even a year and half later. BUYER BEWARE!! read more

We received an SBA loan due to Hurricane Irma and purchased a used fifth wheel from here. We paid 500 for a full inspection before we took it home. When we went to take the walk through after the inspection, the maintenance guy said it still needed a lot of work but we were assured there were no leaks and we could bring it home. We decided to take up the carpet (due to having a puppy) and put down wood planks. Guess what. The floor was full of wet, rotten moldy wood as were the side walls. They knew this beforehand bc they showed us the tape on the outside, but assured us the leaks were fixed. Mr. Campbell came out to see it and said "but I don't see any mold". We asked for our money back and he refused. He said he would trade us rv's. Guess what? The new rv he wanted to trade would cost us another $1000. We had all but 400 and he refused to accept it. Wanting the full amount. We wanted new and his salesman Marcelo sent us a picture of one that we could trade for and get the difference in price back. Guess what? Mr. Campbell flat out refused. And said he would not fix the trailer we had because it was setting out in the elements. Believe me, he didn't have this rv sitting inside before we bought it. We are beyond hurt, mad and flustered. We have a 30 yr loan to pay on a trailer that should be salvaged. Thank you Mr Campbell. Buyer beware! read more
