Everything was great until they recommended a hitch for my set up I had in my truck. The set up turned out to be unsafe given me only 1 1/2 inches of clearance between the fifth wheel RV knows and the bed of my truck. They let me drive off of their lot with this unsafe set up. They are refusing to make this right so I will not be recommending this dealership to any one that I know or anyone that asks about blue compass RV in Seguin. I gave this one out of five stars because our sales rep was extremely helpful and patient. read more

I had a small accident with my 2023 motorhome and went to BlueCompass of Seguin for repair although I had bought it from BlueCompass of Boerne. What a pleasant experience. Aaron Franco was the service advisor and he made the process very easy. They assessed the damages, coordinated the estimate with my insurance company, ordered the parts and I was back home within the hour. When the parts came in , I dropped it off and had it back the next day. During that process they found a small panel had also been damaged and they coordinated that additional repair with the insurance company and order the part. When that part came in they made an appointment with me to bring it in and made the repair while I waited and again I was home within the hour. Aaron, the technicians and everyone else I came in contact with were very pleasant, friendly and competent. It was nice doing business with them. read more

BEWARE. In Oct 2021 my family purchased a 2022 Image Grand Design 2910BH from Explorer USA RV Seguin TX and now Blue Compass RV Seguin TX. My family loved the RV and we had two great trips to the coast. In Aug of 2022 we turned the Imagine Grand Design into the Blue Compass RV for the refrigerator not working and a few small warrant items that needed corrections. In September 2022 I was notified by Aaron of Blue Compass Service that the Warranty times had been approved and it shouldn't take much longer. I didn't hear anything for a couple of months until December 2022. In December 2022 I was notified that everything was corrected and I was able to pick up my Imagine Grand designed RV. I picked it up in mid December and upon arriving home the refrigerator was once again not working within a few days I had returned it back to blue compass RV in Seguin, and they told me they would try and figure it out In April 2022 it still was not fixed and they were saying that they were having issues with grand design and that they would just come up with a quick fix that would circumvent the the problem, however it may not be covered by the warranty. I then spoke with Chris the service manager and Gabe, the general manager for blue Compass RV unexplained I did not understand why my RV had been there so long because of a refrigerator. I was assured they would correct the situation immediately I didn't spoke with Chris the service manager and Gabe the general manager on a conference call in late June and was told that they were still at work in the issue. However, we're having problems with Grant design getting me a refrigerator. It is now August and I just got off the phone with Gabe the general manager again and still they are having problems with getting me a refrigerator. My Imagine Grand design RV has now been with a service department for blue compass RV Seguin for one year I have lost money on my deposits for trips that we had planned with my family for the summer of 2023 and continue to pay my monthly bill however, have not been able to use my RV for a year. I find this completely unacceptable. The general manager Gabe has offered nothing more than he is only the middleman and they are trying to do what they can. However, when I asked him if this was his RV, would that be acceptable he responded absolutely not. I have attached several emails and texts going back-and-forth between Aaron. Wow! Just 2 years ago, we discovered the Solitude 375RES by Grand Design RV! Back then a bit terrified, we went to shows, RV lots, and tried out everything we could find to make sure we would make the best decision for us. Mark did so much online research as well and YouTube became his best friend! We always found our way back to Joseph Sendejo at ExploreUSA RV Supercenter - Seguin because he always listened to us and answered all of our questions without an agenda. We got a few good offers from other RV centers, but Joseph beat them all and we ended up purchasing the 2020 model 6 months ago and couldn't be happier. Even after attending the RV show this year and seeing some new features in the market, we still think our 2020 RES is the best because it feels like home. Stopped by today to ask if someone could help with our leveling system. Was told that we had to hook it up to power source and put all the jacks down to zero it out and recalibrate it. When asking if we could hookup to one to do this on level ground was told they had no available power cords to use. We found several that were available away from the building but could not get find anyone to help. Went to sales center and were ignored, couldn't get anyone in service to help either. read more

August 2023 Called a cliam in, for my 35ft Oakmont that had electric issues and arranged to have transport to Blue Compass, thinking they had certified mechanics. Hauled on Friday, and talked to Ryan from service, on next Wednesday, when he said all worked great. I asked them to check everything, just in case. He called to say refrigerator was going out and tried to sell another. I didn't want to buy a new one, as I knew it was working well when it left. Got my RV back Thursday with broken blade on ceiling fan, heavy dirt stain on floor beneath the fan, refrigerator wouldn't even turn on, missing rear driver side tailight, awning would not move. Then 3 days later, the converter they said they replaced and was the problem, just stopped, and left me without any power at all. I called Ryan on Thursday and asked what he had checked. He said I had probably broken the fan....what?? Said everything worked and I would have to haul it over there for them to look at it again, No they dont transport and knows NO ONE who does and no, they do not send techs out. The next day I emailed the president of Blue Compass, and relayed the story of that very very poor service not to mention the service staff attitude. Chris the Service mgr. called to say he would make everything right, but I had already arranged the roof to be resealed, on Saturday, by another RV company, so would be the next week before I could call Chris. The RV company I used for roof has certified techs. Amazing service. They are full service came out and checked RV... all the things that had been issues were because Blue Compass(BC) had cross wired each !! Oh and the Refrigerator? They fried the control board and I'll have to order another to fix. Everything BC touched was as if someone did not know what he was doing, and was playing meth games. My insurance thankfully covered the 2nd repair, except the ceiing fan and tailgate cover. I can least enjoy it now. I will NEVER trust Blue Compass with my RV, and neither will Greenlake RV Resort. This dealership gets one star because you can't start a review without giving a star rating. I had heard horror stories from my friends, but I thought how could it be that bad, well it was. Avoid Explore USA RV if you can. I couldn't because they were the only dealership within 1,500 miles that had the toy hauler I wanted. Here are some of my issues: 1. It took over three weeks to make the purchase over internet/phone. 2. I traded and paid cash, they wanted all of the cash portion of the deal up front. 3. The prep guy scheduled me for Thursday (7/30), I suggested Friday (7/31) so I would take less time off work. Got a call on Friday (7/24) that he could not get my tankless water heater for three weeks, so I okayed a substitute. Got a call on Tuesday that he could not get the dishwasher we wanted, so I approved a substitute. Got a call on Thursday that they were going to be late on Friday because the water heater came with the wrong door for my rig, but come on anyway everything else was done. We showed up at 10:15, an hour and fifteen minutes late and the tech had just cut the hole for the dishwasher. Nine hours later we pulled out with the rig. And by the way the water heater they put in was the one he said he couldn't get. Oh yeah, I do have a reason to give one star, our tech Aaron was fantastic. We bought a Grand Design after looking at literally 100s else where. Jason, the man who started with us continued with us during us coming and going. His patience was beyond what any one would expect. If he didn't know the answer, he called someone who would. Most of the time he had taken classes and knew the answers. The class we took was given by a young man named Cody. His knowledge was great and he too was very patient. Before we left there were several checks to make sure our truck, the hitch and trailer all worked together. Everyone in the building was friendly and always asked if we were being taken care of. They all seemed to get along with each other. It was a happy place. From the techs, mechanics office help and management all had a great attitude. Tanner will answers the phone and Ridley transfers me over to Austin's phone that just rings for 10 mins. Then when Tanner answers the line again he jus flat hangs up on me. I talk to the finance manager who promises to have the general manager call me on Monday and that never happens either. This is what you get when you spend $100,000 at their dealership. Lack of integrity in the parts and service department First off, I want to rave on Carol Roberson in sales. She was nothing but professional, phenomenally helpful and truly the best sales person I've ever encountered. With that being said I decided to cancel my purchase on a 2022 Vanleigh Vilano due to being lied to and ignored by the service tech Andrew. We put down a deposit on the Vilano June 18, 2021. The unit arrived in Seguin July 23. We went to see the trailer on July 24. There were issues that happened to the trailer during transit. A work order was submitted. Today is October 10 and we are still waiting on parts. Andrew told me on numerous occasions that the parts were ordered. I got in touch with a Vanleigh representative out of Dallas and I was told that the parts were never ordered. The next day I received a call from Andrew he told me that the parts have been ordered. Another couple of weeks ago by and I leave several messages for Andrew to call me. I finally am able to reach him and he informs me Vanleigh was having trouble acquiring the needed parts. OK, I understood everybody's having issues with labor and parts. So we were in a holding pattern. Then in September I got a hold of Andrew again and he told me that Vanleigh has the needed parts for my Vilano and the parts will be shipped next Wednesday. Here it is October 10, three months after the invoice for the repairs was submitted. The last of September I was told that UPS has lost my parts and there is no tracking information. Every time I would call to speak to Andrew concerning the issues and the progress on the repairs I was sent straight to his voicemail or told he was not in. I left messages after messages after message and very rarely would I received a callback. Yesterday I decided to pull my offer on the Vilano and I put a deposit on a Beacon with another RV company. I feel badly because Carol was very helpful and she tried her best to remedy this problem. She is absolutely the best. We could not be happier with our purchase experience at ExploreUSA! We started our search for a Grand Design Momentum back in January and, after a few other stops, ended up at ExploreUSA in Seguin. Tanner greeted us in the lobby and made us feel at home and comfortable. He spent the day showing us numerous models, answering all our questions (no matter how silly) being very patient and never making us feel rushed. If for some reason he didn't have the answer, he would immediately be in contact with the people who did. Tanner's polite and patient attitude let us know that it was from this dealer that we wanted to make the purchase! We proceeded to exchange purchase order information via email and once again Tanner made this very easy smooth and easy. His support while we awaited delivery was also appreciated. In addition to answering even more questions after the purchase, he even helped coordinate unexpected changes to the order along the way, making us feel very well taken care of. Once our RV arrived at the dealer, we were put in touch with Chris from service to coordinate the installation of desired accessories. Chris was also very polite and easy to work with. At one point we even had a video call with him, while in the RV, to ensure we were on the same page about the placement of our washer and dryer installation. He too answered numerous questions as we tried to understand the new TPMS and camera systems and how they would work with our truck. Even after delivery, Chris made it really easy to swap out our propane tank and straps. Leroy was also very helpful in tightening up a loose blind in our bathroom. Once again, we felt very supported and confident in our purchase decision. When we arrived for delivery, we met with David, who had the unenviable task of teaching us all that we needed to know to take possession of the RV. As you might imagine we had numerous questions as we tried to gain confidence in all that we needed to learn. David's polite, patient and calm manner was exactly what was needed. His knowledge of all the RV systems was deep and he made other suggestions that have since proven very helpful. As you can see, from arrival to delivery we were met with polite, patient people who made us feel very confident in our purchase. Our experience here has been second to none! It's been 10 days since my last post. We were informed last week that Jackie is no longer employed at ExploreUSA RV in Seguin. We were not surprised. We were reassigned to Austin. He was initially responsive and we were hopeful about getting our RV back within a week or two. After the first few days, even Austin stopped returning our calls and doesn't respond to email requests for updates except to say that he received the email. I've reached out to the manager, Ben, to see if he can assist in resolving the lack of responsiveness and lack of progress on the RV. We have now been without our RV for almost six weeks. I guess I should have read the reviews on Yelp before taking it back to Seguin for service. read more

As far as the service department... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. They realized that the invoice they presented me with was 2000$ less then the estimate that they gave my insurance. When I asked for a copy of the insurance check and he brought me a second invoice with 2000$ more instead! And then my insurance company released 2000$ more to them and when I called to discuss my concern he raised his voice and acted like I was being unreasonable. This was after I spent 4.5 hours waiting for them to be done with my rv when they had had it for 1 month. But it doesn't end there.. only about half of the work I had brought it in for had actually been done. I was very impressed with the sales team but the service department is worthless. WARNING DO NOT SIGN ANY CONTACTS WITH THEM UNTIL THEY HAVE DONE A FINAL INSPECTION.....They will not let you exchange units out if they find an issue. You are stuck with that unit. Good for them bad for the customers!!!! We just purchased an RV from Explorer USA in Seguin, Texas. We haven't even picked it up and upon their expectation they were having issues with the slide out. The slide out is a major component of an RV - it's like a gear going bad in your transmission on a car (really). They called and said they had to order a new slide out bracket and they didn't know the lead time on the part yet. Well we nicely called them back and said that we were not comfortable buying a NEW RV that is already having issues. This is not a cabinet issue it's a slide out issue....this is major to us. We wanted to exchange it for another unit. We didn't want to not do business with them we just wanted to purchase another unit. They said sorry this is what you bought your stuck with it. The manager Gabe told me that it doesn't matter if we are upset with our purchase the 1st payment is due on April 15th, 2023 like it or not!!! He would not work with us at all. So we don't have our RV yet haven't done our walk through yet. And we literally feel sick at our stomach with this unit. Bad customer service. We decided to file a complaint with consumer relations so that other costumers will see the horrible service. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever received!!! Today Saturday June 27th. Horrible greeting, horrible attitude, and horrible stereotyping. The sales guy immediately said "are you here to buy? We are not going to go back and see inventory if you're planning to buy in January or another time". My wife and I and our two daughters live in El Paso. We moved out here from Central Texas in 2017. While we waited for our house to sell in Harker Heights, TX we lived in our 27 ft travel trailer. We soon realized we loved the freedom of full-timing. Being military for 21 years and moving every two years makes it appealing! Anyway, when our house sold this spring we researched and found that an upgrade to a Grand Design Momentum 395M fifth wheel toy hauler was absolutely what we wanted. We hopped online and did a ton of research. We were contacted by Mr. Jason Silvestry who was the most patient and personable salesperson I had ever bargained with. The bottom line here is, Jason is the standard for exceptional service and customer care. He linked me up with experts in every area I had questions about from full-timing in general to specific set up and towing questions, Jason made the upgrade simple and gave me tremendous peace of mind before we committed to the purchase and I made the trek across Texas to secure our new home. Casey Swearingen is worth the drive! In Aug2020 we purchased our first travel trailer from ExploreUSA in Seguin, TX. Between high demand, low supply and my lack of experience purchasing an RV, I could not have made things more difficult for Casey. I made just about every mistake possible and Casey was incredibly supportive and accommodating throughout the process. He was exceedingly honest, transparent and responsive despite how challenging I made the process and my obvious lack of experience - a stark contrast to my previous experience at Crestview RV in Austin where I had to beg for multiple Crestview salespersons to take my $30k. Crestview made me feel like they were doing me a favor to sell me an RV - like I was a inconvenience to them and tried to rip me off on price and financing. Casey at Explore USA was the exact opposite, going out of his way to answer my endless questions, give me honest advice, get me the best price possible and eventually get me the best financing rate possible - Casey was able to beat all competitors on price and financing. Ok unfortunately I've had to update this review and drop them down. I bought a 2020 Longhorn 298 BH and we picked up right as the COVID thing was starting to get rolling here, so it just sat in the driveway for a few months untouched, but now we've finally used and it run into issues. First problem I noticed was that the keys they gave me didn't work. I could lock and unlock the entry door handles but not the deadbolts on the doors. Also, the keys for the storage compartments wouldn't work. Called my salesman but got no response, so I called the store and explained the situation to them. I was told to hold on and they would transfer me, but after 12 minutes of holding I gave up. Maybe I shouldn't have because it was the last time I got anyone to answer the phone. So I figured that maybe they were short handed with the virus so I went to their website and sent a message on the "contact us" link. Got a response back that they'd received it and would be in touch, but they never were. Finally gave up and replaced the storage locks myself, haven't do the door deadbolt locks yet but I guess i'm going to need to. Then memorial day weekend we finally take it out on our first trip. First issue we run into is that the water heater won't work on electric. Fine I'll switch it to gas and deal with it later, but that also doesn't work. Get to digging around and find two electrical connectors for the water heater that aren't plugged in. Luckily that did it. Later that evening I try to use the stove but it won't light. Find that both propane tanks are not fully connected. No big deal I know, maybe they just filled them and didn't reconnect them, but at this point I'm doubting that. Then we go to leave and I pull up to the dump station and start cleaning the tanks and when I pull the handle the first thing that comes out are pieces of plywood and sawdust. So they didn't check that either, I have no way of knowing whether or not I got it all that out. They kept this unit for two weeks from the time I signed the papers until I could pick it up so they could go through and check it out and do their prep work, which they clearly didn't do. The water heater, keys, and sewer weren't tested, and I have no reason to believe that the gas was either. read more

Decided to finally go and look at new RV's at your Seguin location. 1st time out not one sales person was willing to help. Went inside for help and was only handed brochures and sales person didn't want to go outside since it was hot. Attempted again the following week by internet and was contacted back by Tanner. Things seemed to be going good until he and his manager started the pressure game and dealing. Casey, the sales manager called me and we discussed the unit I was interested in. From this point it was daily phone calls and text messages. I finally told Casey that I couldn't drop everything and come in at anytime. He informed me of the price on the unit for an out the door price and we agreed. Today (9-6-21) was headed to dealer and Casey informed me he was on vacation and Tanner would be contacting me. Long story short I never made it to dealer. Tanner basically said I didn't understand pricing and sales tax and at that point it got ugly. Phone call ended with Tanner telling me to go to HELL and buy from someone else. WOW!! Seems Casey and his team need some real customer service training. This reflects poorly on ExploreUSA and its parent company RV Retailer, LLC. I have text messages and screen shots from conversations just wish I had recorded the call so people could hear how bad they treat potential customers. read more

If I could do a "0" star rating I would. I am referring to the service department. It is absolutely the slowest and there is no communication unless you initiate it. Always told by Gromer the service advisor he will call back and he doesn't. He never know the answers to your questions, never know the pricing and never calls you back with the info when he says he will. This is our second time at the service department for a 2019 RV. Very unhappy with the department and the lack of caring from the management when you voice your concerns. You can't even get anyone to answer the phone when transferred to the service department. If at all possible stay away from this center and use a different one. I can't believe all of them are this bad so just don't go here. read more

I recently bought an RV from ExploreUSA in December 21, 2019 and paid cash in hand. I did not receive my RV till January 15, 2020. I was told that they where repairing some cosmetic stuff on the RV. When we did finally receive the RV (only after us calling and asking for a refund) we were told everything was fixed and cleaned. when it was brought to us the ac unit was leaking, the RV was not cleaned, and some of the vents in the bathroom and bedroom are not working, and now nobody wants to return our call or fix anything. I am so disappointed in this place of business and I advise anyone look to purchase an RV please do not purchase from this place. The service Department is horrible and completely unreliable. Bought a trailer from these folks a couple of months ago. Had great sales service from Joseph and we're totally impressed by the fact that every time we walk in the door, someone asks us if we've been helped. They got the trailer to us when they said they would and were willing to work with us on price. Overall a great buying experience. As for service, we need a couple of things to be repaired. We made an appointment and showed up on time and expect the trailer back soon. No complaints at all. read more
