First time buyer, bought a really nice model and get it home and parked just to find German Cockroaches crawling around under the sink. I used 2 cans of bug bomb, come back 4 hours later and find 8 American cockroaches in all areas of the trailer. I would recommend checking literally everywhere and do not take the sales persons word on anything. I paid a $695 make ready fee as to make sure this exact thing would not happen....I'm currently trying to return the Trailer or have the company send an exterminator out to take care of the problem. read more

Cliff notes: *Bought brand new RV. 2021 *Before picking it up we received call that it was damaged during transport. *Two weeks later we picked it up. ( told it would be 4-5 days) *One month later our first RV trip (4 nights) *Hot water heater doesn't work *Called roadside warranty, that I was told is a "must buy" by the Seguin RV warranty "finance" specialist..... never did receive roadside service during our first RV adventure. Called 3 (THREE) different roadside company's and all were busy....one roadside company actually asked the model number of the heater....hewanted to make sure the company (water heater maker) pays out in a timely manner. SMH *Dropped off RV for repair back at Seguin RV *Was told I'd receive a call in 2 days to let me know what the issue is, that didn't happen *Week later... *RV is ready *Went to pick it up to only find it nose deep in the mud. *Drove back to the front and told them what I found *Tractor was sent and pulled RV from a trench. Mud so deep back that the septic hose holder had mud covering it when i got home to inspect. First off, I just wanna say I have never in my life left a bad review but our experience was so bad I can't help it. So here it goes.... We were searching for a fifth wheel and decided to stop at Seguin RV, even though we had an approval and paperwork for a pretty good deal at a camping world out of state on a certain fifth wheel I couldn't find in Texas. We were hoping to find something we loved just as much and not have to drive so far or pay for delivery but a couple minutes after we arrived BEFORE EVEN SPEAKING TO ANYONE I realized it was probably a bad idea. FIRST RED FLAG: This was the 3rd dealer we visited and I assumed they operated like the first 2 where you could kinda just drive around and see what you like (similar to a car lot) which I'll admit was my bad, but anyways we drove to the where the rvs were parked since my baby was asleep in the car, and I guess we weren't supposed to but they saw us out there and instead of going back there to inform us we couldn't be back there and see if we needed help, they blocked off where we went in which was the only way out. At that point I wanted to leave but my husband was very interested in a few of their fifth wheels so he went to find help. Ray, a sales rep came out to help us and I will say I have 0 complaints about him. I told him our situation and how we wanted to find an rv we wouldn't have to drive so far to get. He showed us 5 different rv's and we really liked one and decided to submit a credit application online the next day. Later that day, ray called to tell me we had an approval and ask for a $500 non refundable deposit to hold the rv which THANK GOD I did not give. The next day, the finance man calls and was extremely rude/condescending from the start. He tells me he was able to get us approved at 6.55% apr after 3 banks turned us down and that we were never approved at camping world accusing me of lying. At that point I was very confused since I had the papers sitting right in front of me. When I very politely told him that we definitely had an approval and we were actually approved from 2 banks and they offered me a 5.24% apr, he insisted there was no approval, and told me to go ahead and drive to Minnesota so they could "screw me" I declined his offer and told him I would send Ray pictures of the paperwork just to prove myself. He said "you do that" and hung up. I was never rude once during the call. I sent Ray proof of our approval and the name of the bank immediately after. He was unaware of what had happened and apologized and proceeded to tell me that they don't have access to the bank that approved us and asked me if I remembered the other bank that approved us so they could try and get us a better deal. I thanked him for his time and told him we did not want to proceed. Never got an apology from the finance man. Unfortunately I can't remember his name but I wanna say it was Ken which is the rude "owner" that replies to complaints. Well for starters Seguin RV is not BBB accredited, their service is horrible, read below! 03/16/2018 During Hurricane Harvey my RV I purchased at Seguin Rv was damaged, I took my Rv back to Seguin Rv on December 8, 2017 to be repaired we contacted them several times during the three months they had it, finally March 10, 2018 we were able to pick it up, we were told all repairs had been made. Our Progressive insurance had paid Seguin Rv in full, upon inspection prior to leaving with the RV, we found most of repairs had not been performed, I contacted Progressive and was sent a breakdown of what was owed to us so we could take it else where to get the repairs they did not do, I was give a "We Owe Statement" on March 10th, and was told the check would be mailed Monday March 12th, I gave them time and called them today March 16th to see if check had been mailed only to be told, he wasn't sure and would call me right back, there has been no call back from Seguin RV. Bottom line is they tried to take advantage of me and get paid by insurance for work that hasn't been performed. I still haven't received a refund to get these repairs fixed elsewhere. I am rejecting this response because: I do not think my request is unreasonable, what is unreasonable is Seguin RV keeping our RV for three months, not doing the insurance work or the warranty work as promised and then expecting us "the customer" to accept your offer. If you were in our situation you would be very upset as well. At this point, I will accept Seguin RV refund money for all work that wasn't done and half the deductible, since I still have to take it elsewhere to have the work done. When we bought the RV from you facility, I really thought your company had integrity and that is why we took our RV back to Seguin RV for the work to be done, we could have taken it to a shop closer to home but, we didn't, we took it to you and your service department took advantage of us, they brought it out dropped it off and left quickly, they knew they hadn't completed all the work, "there was an itemized list of work to be done". Is there checks and balances, not only for the customer but, also for your company. All I'm asking is to be fair, we know what wasn't done and have proof, you only know what your service department is telling you, we sent pictures of taillight and ladder. I understand you have a receipt for the ladder, I'm not sure what they did with the new ladder but, the one on my RV is not new, I know you want to call it an oversight but, take a look at the list of all work that wasn't done, that is not an oversight.  I strongly suggest if you are looking to buy an RV or type of recreational vehicle go somewhere else other that Seguin Rv. read more

Communication is key in any business. Not only does the staff not answer phones, emails or messages, they just don't respond, ever. In person, great folks, but the communication between potential customers is non-existent. I finally gave up trying to buy a rig from them and went 3 hours farther north, a royal pain, but the other dealer actually answers phones, texts, emails and happily. I took my Rv here for service. They had it for 5 MONTHS. The staff never contacted me, I had to call over and over again to get a quote on what the work would cost. It took 5 weeks to even get a quote. When I finally got my Rv back they installed the wrong color shower surround and did not properly reconnect the faucet CAUSING an internal leak that cost me even more money to repair. Upon delivery of camper i immediately noticed the bathroom sink faucet was leaking. After contacting Seguin RV and speaking with sales manager and being told that it "could" of happened while on the way to be delivered ,and only told me that he would get with the parts person and have new faucet delivered to me. I just dont think it makes sense that the faucet would have gained an issue from traveling while being delivered and raises an eyebrow in my opinion that every time i hook on to the camper to move it that i have to worry about something inside the camper breaking. They would not send someone down here to fix the issue that should have been addressed during the make ready of it. Just not very pleased with customer service after the taking possession of the camper. All that being said now i am having to pay out of pocket to have the faucet fixed as i still have not received a new faucet from them nor have i been contacted about where it is and when it would be delivered. Do NOT shop or buy here! I've never left a negative review before but here it is. We bought this new RV so we could go through a transplant and get our chemo treatments in SA. First, they tried to sale it to us without the second ac that came standard. Second, I called the service manger (Brian Fonze) crying after the brand new rv flooded. He promised to fix the issue and put in our second ac. I explained about needing it for transplant and having to have it by a certain date. He agreed it could all be done. No phone call was ever received from them after we left. When we returned to pick it up on the agreed upon date, the service manager was conveniently gone. NOTHING had been done at all, it was still where we parked it. I discussed this with the manager (calmly in person) but he said he had no control over the service Dept. Okay, fast forward a couple months and my husband gets over heated from staying in that rv while doing his chemo. Another leak appeared and we still can't even lock the door from the inside, it's only 6 months old (2021). I call and get the owner, Ken. By this time I have had it, dealing with my husband barely hanging on going thru cancer treatments, and this man starts being condescending and taking down to me. I'm loud, naturally, and then instead of calming me down, he tells me he's going to start yelling at me! He tried making excuses at first but then just started being hateful and not even listening to what I was trying to explain to him. What I was trying to explain is that we can't give him a date to bring it back when we can't be guaranteed how long it would be out. He could have sent someone to SA (25 minutes drive to us at the rv park) and assess it, stop the leak from ruing on the floor, or something. He offered nothing like that, just to make us leave the rv until they could get to it. Well we had already learned that lesson and if you look at the other reviews, you'll see many people that left their RVs for service for months without being done correctly or at all. Time is not on our side and again, the whole point of the rv is so my husband could go through transplant and chemo treatments quarantined up, for his best chance at life. Ken, the owner, could not even offer a plausible fix or anything else, let me rephrase that, he didn't offer any other solution to help us at all, knowing our situation. We are First Responders and dedicated our lives to helping others, you don't get rich doing what we do. It was a sacrifice to even purchase this rv but it was so needed to even have a chance at a fight against cancer. I'm sorry I had to even write this review, but I'd like to try to save other families from going through what we have. I bought a fifth wheel from them and they went out of their way to accommodate all my requests in an immediate manner. I didn't have the right equipment to haul this coach so the sent someone to drive an hour away to get the things I needed. They had me on the road safely back home in short amount of time. I love my coach and the price I paid for it. I would pay more just to be treated the way these people treated me from the sales department to the service depart. This was a no pressure buying experience and everyone we dealt with from sales to finance to the owner were all very friendly and professional. The day we came to get the camper they gave us a detailed walkthrough of the camper and even helped us transfer our hitch from our old camper to the new one. This is the first negative review I have ever left so it takes allot for me to even get to this point. There are many different RV dealers in the area and most have better reviews. I wished I would have listen to the reviews before so save yourself time and heartache and DO NOT go to Seguin RV! I bought my 5th wheel December 2017 and it spent well over 5 months in service mainly for an issue that was cause by one of their own technicians. In this past year I've dealt with 2 different service managers (both where fired) and the owner Ken. Plus, I had one of their technicians run up and got into my face. To the techs credit he did later apologized saying it wasn't like him and he was just pretty much having a bad day but the only thing Ken was aware of the confrontation right after it happen but the only thing Ken ever said is that the tech should have never been involved and that was that. It has been a complete nightmare and it all started from their own service technician messing up the adjustment of one of the slide to the point the slide wall was separating from the counter top ruining the wallpaper and later the bottom of the backsplash that was installed to hide the damaged wallpaper. Ken will act like he is going to take such great care of you and will do anything for his customers but he is full of bull! He cares only about $$$ and nothing about true customer service. Ken chose not to cover the warranty on my travel trailer because I wouldn't spend more money with him. So now I'm stuck with an issue with my slide that was created by one of the technicians at Seguin RV. There are many RV dealerships that you pass just to get to Seguin RV please don't make the same mistake I did and pass them go anywhere else but here! To Kens response: Wow what a response from a owner of a business that not only messed up my trailer but took them repeated times and visits to not even fix it. Ken the owner told me to find someplace else to take it and cancels parts that was ordered under warranty only when I didn't want to pay for anymore work to be done. In my eyes why would I pay for more problems especially when Ken kept lying about fixing it. So now he is on this smear campaign. This is the treatment to expect from Ken and probably is a good reason why Seguin Rv only has 2.5 stars. read more

While not dealing in cars, the employees we dealt with embody the worst stereotypes of used car salesmen. If for some reason you do decide to do business with them, make sure you take a witness with you, record everything said, and get any and all offers, claims, or promises in writing. And even then they will still probably try to weasel out of any required repairs. Make sure you do a very thorough walk through. Check every light, every electrical outlet, every latch. If you miss anything that was broke before you bought it, they will claim that everything was working before you got it, and they are not responsible for anything that happens during transport to your lot/pad, even when they are the ones you pay to transport it. Make sure you check the toilet holding tank. Our RV was delivered with the holding tank full of human waste. Make sure that when they tell you that they will fix something that you get it in writing and it does not come with any exclusions for mobile service or number of visits before they will give up and not even make a token effort anymore. To best protect yourself from these dishonest and unscrupulous people, bring witnesses, or better yet, a lawyer and a news crew. But you would be better served by going to a more reputable RV dealer. read more

I want to just review my experience with facts only. I will try to keep opinion out of it. We took them our 2 month old fifth wheel to have the front air conditioner fixed that didn't work when the RV was purchased. (Not from Seguin RV). The RV was there 5 weeks. I received zero updates during that time. I had to call them after 4 weeks. They replaced a thermostat I had already replaced myself. That did not fix it. Of course. They then said it was the control box. They replaced it. I had called them 3 days prior so I had arranged to pick it up. We picked it up on a Friday I believe. When I got there I was pointed out behind the shops and told " its back there". I drove back and found mine. Couldn't hook up right away due to both batteries being completely drained. Got my batteries charged enough to get my jacks up. I was told the computers were down so I received no paperwork nor did I sign any paperwork saying the repairs were completed. I went ahead and left. 4 days later we took the RV to Dallas. Set it up and tried the front ac. The front ac not only didn't get cold it didn't even come on at all. It was actually working less than when we took it in. It was taken to another large chain RV store I won't name in this review. You can find out where it went by finding my review about the place it went. The place we took it fixed it in about 2.0 hrs. Faulty wiring. FACT: 5 weeks we were without our new RV. It was not fixed. It was never diagnosed or checked after repairs. Batteries were run down. No updates during the time there. The problem was actually made worse. I can not recommend Seguin RV for anything. On another note. They make you sign a piece of paper saying if you get tired of waiting for them to fix your RV you have to pay 500.00 to get it back. Basically it says once you drop it off you can't have it back until they say they are finished or you pay 500.00. This is not true. It is not only against the policy of the manufacturers , it is also not a legal document. The RV is your property. You can walk in and get it at any time and you are not liable for anything except what has already been completed. To Seguin RV: the service in the RV industry is terrible. People pay a lot of money for these "luxuries". If you could be the one to offer service that matches the money involved you would have more customers than you could ever deal with. 95% of RV service depts are just flat out incompetent liars who will rip you off. If you could be the one that caters to your customer and has techs that know how to really diagnose and repair people would line up. Being a new owner I was shocked at the service offered by all RV shops. read more

My wife and I recently purchased a new RV from Marko yesterday and could not have been more impressed with our experience. We went to look twice in one day. Marko gave us a tour of the whole lot unlocking unit after unit for us to look at. He gave us the upfront pricing on every rv in inventory and explained the different features. Went to pick up RV and it was not ready. AC did not work, missing light covers, and outside vent cover. The sales staff, service lady, or sales manager knew nothing about it not being ready even tho had appointment to pick it up. They never gave us detailed walkthrough of the camper. The salesman said he would deliver it on Monday at 11:00 am and would make sure everything was fixed. I had to call later on that Monday to find out if it was going to be delivered and salesman knew nothing. It was later delivered that afternoon with nothing fixed on the RV. We had to take it back to RV Seguin to get the repairs as they had made their one delivery. They kept it two weeks and still didn't fix everything. Horrible experience from salesman, sales manager (very rude), owner, service department manager (very incompetent). All made excuses and admitted how the campers were thrown together on an assembly line and they weren't responsible. Never returned phone calls. We've never owned an rv so one question I asked was how is your follow up after we leave and they were falling over themselves with promises to take care of us. On the third day of trying to get hold of Sean in service I gave up. I did speak with a Rushton and expressed my disappointment and a short time later Sean called but the damage had been done. I had finance questions and Albert would not return a call. Beth was the sales lady and after the fact I'm so disappointed. No follow up service so I will take my business elsewhere. To make a long story short, I bought a new Palamino 5th wheel a specified that I was only interested in a mid bunk with a heat pump. The girl that sold it to me new very little about what she was selling. During the walkthrough I asked her how to turn the heat on and she said she could not figure it out. She said we would just have to play with it. She guaranteed me that it had a heat pump. Come to find out it does not. I'm 400 miles away and buying propane to heat my camper. They expect me to take 2 days off and haul it back to their shop to gat it installed, yet don't want to pay for the fuel and missed days at work. I'll be the first to admit... I should have done more research on what to look for when buying a used RV. I should have known to look for weak spots to indicate water damage. I should have demanded to look at the roof, see the awning pulled out... Hell, see the whole thing in action before spending a little over $9,000. (Amber I'm very sorry for everything going this way, I truly hope you were just as innocent as we were in how this company conducted business.) My wife and I stopped in to look at a 2009 Springdale, giddy with excitement that we might be starting the process of purchasing our new RV. We were met by Amber, who was a new-ish sales person so the extent of her knowledge was limited but still helpful in looking at a few RVs. We decided that the Springdale was the one for us. My wife and I were anxious to see if everything worked but Amber assured us that when the RV's arrive on site they are checked out thoroughly and if any issues are found they fix it. She even told us about another used RV that came in that they had to perform almost $4,000 worth of repairs. My wife and I were impressed by their care to attention (or so it seemed). We told her about our plans to "rennovate" (I'll explain the quotations later) the RV and live in it full time. To help us out with our limited budget, Amber suggested to save more cost that we can forego the "walk thru" process which we were told was a $595.00 charge to essentially just show us how everything worked. I felt confident in my ability to YouTube how an RV works and didn't see the value in the $595 walk thru. A few weeks later when we got the rest of our finances in order we came back to Seguin RV to see the RV again and take it home (I was determined to at least see it turned on before spending all that money). The RV was moved to their back lot and Amber was excited to see us. She took us back around to the lot where the Springdale was parked. We made another mini inspection but after asking to see the RV turned on she assured us again that everything was in working order and the service department does a great job of inspecting the RV's when they come in. Amber did a great job of distracting us from our initial intentions of seeing the RV fully operational. In hind-sight, I'm mad for not being more stern with my initial plan of seeing everything working before purchasing. I trusted them way too easily. My wife and I paid for the RV in full and took her home. That's when everything went downhill. We live in San Marcos and planned on having the RV in storage while we did our renovations (renovations meaning putting new updated flooring, painting the ugly faux wood, adding new window treatments... by NO MEANS gutting or reroofing or anything to do with structural damage) We had 2 months to do all the updating before our lease was up on our apartment. I knew with that much time we wouldn't have any issues. We arrived at our storage unit and after parking it, the hitch would not release from the ball. I knew it had to be the angle and the age of the hitch. My father owns a ranch so I'm very familiar with removing a trailer, however with the weight of the RV it was almost impossible. We called a local RV service company and arrived at the Service Lot (not disclosing the name for to keep things impartial) and were greeted by about 4 gentlemen who were eager to help. The manager was there and immediately said that we were driving illegally because the "Break-away" cable was removed. My wife and I had no idea what he was talking about. He then did just a walk around of the outside of the RV and noticed wires hanging down from the bottom, the battery was missing, and the propane tanks were out of code. I was extremely taken off guard by the fact this person walked around the outside of my RV and could see more than 3 substantial issues. It made my stomach turn. I was instantly scared of what else could be wrong that Seguin RV failed to mention. The next business day I had the local shop do a thorough walk thru of the RV to find any other issues. The findings were as follows: Needs a new roof (hail damage) est. cost $7,000, A/C needs to be replaced (not functioning at even half capacity) est. cost $1,100, brake lines cut (potentially need all new brake system) est. cost unknown until repairs can be started, and about $1,000 worth of other misc. repairs. I had NEVER been so devastated in my life. Seguin RV took advantage of my wife and I using horribly deceitful practices. Their sales people may not even know the extent of how negligent the company is so BEWARE. Do your homework and do not get distracted by their words.
