Stahmann RV made our RV purchase so smooth. We bought from out of town and went out of way to purchase from them. They had the model we were looking for, the best price compared to everywhere else we looked, and were by far the friendliest. Every employee we interacted with was professional and kind. They answered our questions when things came up and never made us feel like we were a burden. When I said I would be taking an Uber from the rental car return to their location, they immediately checked with someone to make sure they could go pick me up and give me a ride so I didn't have to get an Uber. Unfortunately not so great of an experience, seriously questioning the quality control at the dealership level. We purchased a new 2021 Winnebago Solis 59PX. After pulling into our first campsite in the evening we learned after a long stressful few hours that the L.P gas switch is backwards, seems like something that should have been caught. Additionally the water pump isn't working, every time it's turned on it shorts the water heater and instrument panel. We are currently trying to figure out where the wiring is going bad (appt at another dealer next week). We also live in CO where it gets really cold and we asked the dealer to winterize our unit before leaving and at first they said "sure" but at the very end said that they didn't put antifreeze down but opened everything up, and we will be fine, even if there's a little water. Sounds very against everything we know about RV ownership but since this was ur first all season campervan we thought maybe it's different? I'm starting to think it's because they couldn't get the pump to work and gave us some excuse. I'm nervous now to see if the plumbing system will work once we can get the pump going. Anyway, just one big headache and the dealers phone lines are down and they are not responding to email, so I'm posting here.. read more

I wrote a rather lengthy review of Stahmann RV extolling the outstanding service I experienced this past week. I have not seen it posted as yet so I would like to know if it disappeared into the witchcraft and black magic of the computer world. I spent a couple days with the most delightful small group of folks I have ever encountered in the automotive world. No pressure, no big time glitsy showroom or pretentious location. This small team of Britteny, Kim, Earl and Carl, operating out of a small office make you come away feeling like you are really a family member. I have purchased a lot of autos and MH's the past 45 years; but I have never driven away with such a positive feeling as I had driving away with my new Travato--and--the price was right. The people at Stahmann were congenial. However, after buying the Travato, I learned that parts had been taken off of the "new" Travato for use in other RVs, and the Travato that was sold to me as "new" was missing parts. Once a Travato has parts taken off of it before it is sold, it is not a "new" vehicle, and to sell is as "new" is unfair and not accurate. The parts I discovered were missing were replaced, but anyone would prefer the parts that were originally installed. Other parts could be missing that I have not discovered yet. One of the reason consumers buy "new" is to avoid any issue with parts, etc. I paid for a "new" RV and got one that had been pilfered for parts. I did not get what I paid for. Also, the Winnebago coach has been a nightmare. The refrigerator fuse went out less than 24 hours after I left Stahmann to drive it across country. The generator did not start on the one occasion that I really needed it - during a period when my home electricity was out due to a storm. The awning and awning lights seem to have a short, such that sometimes they work, sometimes they don't (and I am familiar with the vehicle, and there was no issue such as the master battery being turned off). It's been one thing after another for months, and this is not what I signed up for. It has been exhausting dealing with all of the problems that have arisen because I did not really buy a "new" Travato, and the Winnebago coach is mired in time-consuming problems and multiple warranty repairs. Just a few months after purchase, I am terribly disappointed and exhausted by the experience. The design of my 2018 59G is terrific, and the Dodge Ram chassis seems fine. read more
