I got my belly button pierced here and the service was impeccable. They were all so nice and made me feel comfortable during all stages of the piercing. Would recommend them to anyone!

Angel is a fantastic piercer, love that their piercers are APP certified, VERY clean. She was patient, kind, & calming. I had a wonderful experience and highly recommend! Piercings are $40-$60 a piece plus price of jewelry (jewelry backs & fronts are sold separately). They sell high quality piercing grade jewelry and have a very large selection. The other staff present was also super laid back and friendly. Would return :-)

I had a great experience with Caitlin at Blue Crab. She did micro-blading on my brows and I think they look great already. I asked for a natural look and she did not disappoint. I can only imagine how great they will look healed and after a touch-up. I appreciate her upbeat and perky personality. We had a great time and she completed the session much quicker than I expected.

The piercings in the yellow circle are what I got at Blue Crab.

My friend and I decided to have a dinner and piercing date after we saw a buy two get one free piercing deal on Instagram. We booked an appointment and received an email outlining COVID19 safety measures. When we arrived, it was just us, two employees, and another client getting a tattoo. The space was beautiful, new, and very clean. Danni was our piercer and she was the sweetest, friendliest, most helpful piercer. My friend and I were both nervous about getting multiple piercings at once and Danni made sure to talk us through absolutely every step and kept us focused and calm throughout the entire process. I absolutely recommend Blue Crab and thank you again, Danni, for being so wonderful!

On pictures: day of posting roughly first two weeks of healing and just after. It's continued wonderfully. Excellent, excellent work. I can't speak highly enough if Sarah who took a design I loved but couldn't quite find the right artist for to make into a tattoo, and she knocked it out of the park. If interested in base, look "Trails In The Sky Bracer Emblem" to compare (I swear better reason than just digging a video game for this). Sarah had, as soon as she came in, a portfolio of drafting she'd done since due to COVID and her booked schedule we could not meet directly prior. So seeing someone just bought 16, at least, design variations to make you feel comfortable? Amazing. And the one we went with was one of those, but tweaked to my skin tone, own color vision issues, and changing emphasis toward the tiny intricate lines and the larger main design to come together more readily in a black and white. Overall it was about three, maybe four, hours in the chair, and it was either a peaceful silence or a nice conversation. Very casual and very happy to talk, but never feeling like at cost of tattoo - both actual cost as in time in chair but more importantly she kept a laser focus. Like, I don't know how, but she did, and every movement could be almost drawn in your head as seemed so deliberate and meaningful. Sarah very willingly talked through her equipment and aftercare. Her machine, for instance, was different than anything used to, but way more comfortable long term, and really cool to hear how and why. I'd still totally use the other kind of machine, but going through it with me really involved me in the creation. It's tiny, but it's really neat. I will be going back, and am scheduled for it already. I'm trusting her to do my sternum and clavicle, and that's going to hurt - I think she'll do it right though and be awesome the whole way. I did not catch the name of the jewelry and piercer on staff, but she was very kind and helped me with sign in and chatting and whatnot. Made me feel welcome. Didn't spend as much time but the other tattoo artist was kind and chatted easy. It was great and they worked as a true team, which is really what you want when your body is being torn into. So, yeah, go. It's worth the wait. Seriously.

I'm still finishing a up a full sleeve with Brad at Blue Crab and I can't say enough about Brad and the staff . The shop is super clean, very nice inside and out with great vibe. Brad has been working on a sleeve of my own ideas and adding his artistic touches to my ideas to make it flow as one piece . I didn't think it would be possible and had no idea it would turn out this amazing. I was blow away by end result. I highly recommend Brad and Blue Crab Tattoo!

My fun idea became a wonderful piece to add to a coverup in progress by Sarah

Sarah has been my Tattooist for three years now, she has an incredible gift for realizing your individualized artistic dreams. Danni & Lina have been my piercing artists for a couple years now, they have an eye for perfect placement and recommendations for great healing and choosing the right bling. Angel has helped me on several occasions to change out, remove, and replace jewelry as I've needed to get through medical scans and surgeries. Chloe is a hinge pin on which the office moves - she does a bit of everything as the shop's very own Gal Friday. I can not recommend this team enough, I have absolute faith and trust in everyone who works at Blue Crab Tattoo!

Can't recommend Captain Gordon, Christie, and Pari enough!!!!!…read moreI've gotten 20 piercings and 2 tattoos done by Time Bomb since 2019 and have had nothing but amazing experiences every single visit. Can't forget to mention that their shop is filled with the "Curiosities" portion which will entertain you for hours. I spot new trinkets and oddities every time I'm there. If I had to use one word to describe operations it would be "CLEAN". Their sanitation protocols are beyond medical standards and the term "professionalism" would be an understatement. Even as a seasoned piercing client, they're all still diligent in ensuring I'm updated and informed on aftercare practices as well. Advanced piercings, helix, lobe, and nipples, a wrist tattoo, and spine piece later, I'll always chose Time Bomb as my body mod providers. A full bodysuit tattoo piece is in the near future, and I can't wait!!!! I would and still do recommend Time Bomb to everyone I come across. Services: Ear piercing, Color ink tattoos, Tattoo aftercare, Piercings, Tattoo design, Female tattoos, Tattoos Requested style: Custom, easy to heal, low maintenance, and consultation in placement were all part of the process in piercing and tattoo decisions. Their team of professionals were able to answer all my questions and give sound advice in how I'd experience and heal from the new pieces. Cleanliness: I've walked into doctor's offices less clean than Time Bomb's shop. They take cleanliness and sanitation to a new level and it helps make the experience feel safe and cared for Artists: My piercers were Alden, Jasper, Christie, Captain, and Pari, tattoo artists are John and Captain. I'd recommend all of them, although Pari was supernaturally fast with her piercing experience (3 helix's). No joke, it took under 5 minutes to place, prep, pierce, and clean up. The piercings themselves took maybe a minute and a half. Both Pari and Christie made the piercings hurt less than expected and have such a skilful and delicate touch that they're experts in their industry.

I currently have 25 piercings, 21 of which were done by Tom. They are a variety of ear, face, and naval piercings and I will never go to another piercer. Tom's technique, sanitation, and eye for finding aesthetic placement that complements unique anatomy is truly unmatched. I sometimes come in and let him choose my ear piercing's placement because I know he'll do an amazing job. I have never had an issue with the healing process or longevity of Tom's work. Not one of the 21 piercings had issues with rejection, keloids, or an infection of any kind. I follow his care instructions and I truly believe his piercing method and suggested healing strategy is responsible for my piercing's success. He's straightforward about whether he thinks a piercing has longevity or not and if they could cause unintended damage. Tom's top priority is the health of his clients and the quality of his piercings. In the pictures the only piercings Tom didn't do are the 1st and 2nd lode piercings on both sides. I'm not attaching pictures of my facial piercings due to personal saftey preferences. It should be noted that my septum is pierced at a strategic angle that makes it look straight, even though I have a deviated septum; and my eyebrow and nostril piercings are placed in aesthetically idealistic ways for my anatomy.

Everyone here is as good as it gets. Both men and women artists here take their jobs seriously and kick every tattoo right in the ass. I don't think I'm 7 years of being tattoo'd that I've wanted to be in a shop so often. You're in an old Victorian style mansion with giant glass windows in the middle of downtown Frederick, Maryland, enjoying life and getting tattoo'd. 10/10 experience. I personally go to Matt Torres @tengutorres on Instagram. My opinion, which is why you're here anyways, is that Matt is the best Japanese artist in the DMV. Out of all the artists I've been too, he cares the most about his customers. If you don't want a big traditional Japanese tattoo, maybe stop reading and go to another very talented artist in the shop (literally anyone, even their apprentice kicks ass) but if you do want something like this, Matt is it man. You get a zoom meeting to plan, you work together, he plans it out, he shows up early every time, he's ready. He studies his work, he studies the Japanese tattooing style, he reads up. You know what you're getting is better than the next and feel better self confidence wise. I promise you will never be disappointed in Matt's booth.

When I arrived I was told the lead piercer was no longer in and I could not be seen by him. I was disappointed since I was not notified prior to coming in, but the apprentice expressed she could do it for $15. It was my birthday, so I was determined to get it pierced... The apprentice asked which ring I preferred and I expressed the smaller one since I have a smaller nose. The apprentice did not feel in my nose prior to piercing and then pierced my nose....she immediately said she missed and it was lopsided. I debated leaving as is because the pain was so bad , but she said she wouldn't be able to live with herself if I left with a lopsided piercing, she took out the jewelry and pierced my nose again, but this time hurt way more. I immediately felt like passing out and throwing up. She wasn't sure how to react and seemed scared. After finally receiving water and catching my breath and paid (and tipped) for my very much $15 worthy piercing - I left. Although it was not ideal, I did pay for what I got... so I thought. A few months later I went into another shop that had jewelry so I could exchange my ring. The piercer at this other location was MORTIFIED. She said the piercing was done incorrectly and would rip my cartilage of not taken out. She advised me to return to where I got pierced and give the lead piercer a chance to fix it. I returned to Snakeman's and the apprentice greeted me. I reminded her I was and expressed what the other piercer told me. As I was telling her, the lead piercer (who I am assuming is Snakeman/owner) and he asked what happened. I told him everything I just typed and immediately it was my fault. He didn't say sorry and started saying it probably occurred when I flipped my piercing, changing my jewelry too soon, and allergies. I expressed that I had done none of those things or have allergies. He then told me the piercer from the other location was being dramatic and told me it was my choice what to do next. I told him I understood that my cartilage probably wouldn't tear, but my nose was clearly was rejecting the piercing due to being done incorrectly twice. He told the apprentice to take out and told me that next time not to focus on what jewelry was "cuter." (Mind you, I was not informed that a smaller ring would do this) It made me believe what occurred was my fault. He never apologized (nor did she) once. I thought they would say sorry or maybe offer to redo my nose once it was healed. Obviously, I know I got what I paid for (a septum for $15) but to not apologize or to take some credibility was hurtful.
