Dr. Eaton has done it again! I am in awe of how seemingly effortless my root canal went. It was over before I knew it. He explains what he is doing as he works on you and it is surprisingly reassuring. Dr. Eaton is by far the BEST dentist I have ever had in my life. Even the injections of numbing stuff didn't even hurt...how does a dentist stick you with a needle and it not hurt??? I cannot say enough about this dentist or his staff. They are a class act from start to finish. Shannon always lets me know my out of pocket long before any procedure and all the assistants are not just pleasant...but laugh at all my jokes! lol In all seriousness though, if you are looking for a dentist that is an expert in this profession and still completely down to Earth...look NO FURTHER. Dr. Eaton and the Staff of Bluecreek Endontics are FANTASTIC!!! After receiving the bad news from my dentist that I needed a root canal I was referred to a couple endontists. After careful research I chose Dr. Eaton with Bluecreek. I was very pleased with my treatment and experience (after all, who wants a root canal?) The office was warm and comfortable, the equipment state of the art, and staff friendly and caring. Dr. Eaton was very pleasant taking the time to carefully answer all of my questions and explaining the treatment options thoroughly. The root canal was performed quickly and was much easier and less painful than expected. Afterwards, Dr. Eaton provided me with his cell phone number in the event there were any problems when the office was closed. He even called me a couple days later when he was at his kid's practice to personally make sure I was OK. I have received calls from doctors offices in the past (from staff), but was totally impressed to receive a call from the doctor (during his family time) to see if I was OK. I have now had three root canals with Dr Eaton and I must testify that he is truly the BEST! I requested IV sedation for my first root canal as my past experience with root canals was more painful than I could take. The IV sedation was perfect and I remember nothing BUTI had to have another root canal the very next month. I had read all of the raving reviews of no pain with the root canal procedure from Dr. Eaton so I asked Dr Eaton if he really was that much of a miracle man. Dr Eaton is SO humble and gracious and he assured me that he could perform my next root canal without IV sedation and I would live to tell. I trusted Dr. Eaton and sure enough, I had NO PAIN with the whole procedure. This takes me to today. Third root canal with Dr. Eaton and I feel like i just went for a morning visit with my friend. We had a few laughs and listened to some great music! Truly the MOST AMAZING care of what could be a super bad situation! My spousal unit arrived at Blue Creek with trepidation...no one looks forward to a root canal. Actually, he had to have TWO root canals...at the same time. In the 2+ hours it took, my spouse was totally at ease, very favorably impressed with Dr. Eaton (who had greeted us when we walked into the reception area = impressively friendly), and fascinated with the state-of-the-art equipment Dr. Eaton uses. I found the receptionist very friendly and was able to chat with her for a great deal of the time while I waited in the reception area. All-in-all this initial appointment was a win-win (for both of us). We were impressed that Dr. Eaton phoned a few days later to check on my spouse's recovery and also phoned after the second appointment (to complete the root canal process). As a person whos been to more endodonics than anyone ever should, I have to say I love Dr Eaton and there was only one other endodontic I thought was worth a hill of beans. I had a former root canal tooth I couldn't even touch it was so painful. My gums had receeded around the tooth. Regular xrays found nothing. My dentist shrugged. I found Dr. Eaton with some online research, and saw he had a cone beam xray. That xray showed that I had a abscess down at the tip of the root. No wonder! He did a great job to fix it. He is also not overbooked, so I have been able to get next day appointments. Double plus. The only thing I didn't like is the surgery involved removing a flap of gum tissue and was extensive enough that it warranted a decent pain prescription. He didn't give one initially, said to take tylenol. Um, no. I did get a pain prescription after asking, thank God or I wouldn't have slept for 2 days! read more

Positively outstanding! The best root canal I've ever had by a long shot! Do yourself a favor and let Dr. Eaton & his staff take care of that problem for you!! Although I have great respect for any competent general practitioner of dentistry, their methods for performing this procedure are probably archaic by comparison. Dr. Eaton uses state-of-the-art technology to smoothly & easily perform a comfortable operation. The other (2) root canals I've had from non-specialists took at least twice as much time, left my jaw sore from having to keep my mouth open wide to receive all of the various equipment simultaneously shoved into my pie hole for hours and exhausted from all the stresses to my bodily systems. "A little piece of home".... The office is warm and inviting. Waiting area reminds of being comfy in my home, especially with the fire place! The staff is very personable, they make you feel comfortable and like part of the family. The music streaming is fun and upbeat which helps calm the nerves. The best part is having a heated blanket to cover up with during treatment and also the warm lavender towel after treatment. You can tell this office takes pride in themselves, as well as there patient care. You as the patient and your comfort are their number one priority! Dr Eaton even gives a follow up call a few days after your appt to see how things are going and if there's anything he can do to help make you more comfortable. I went to a local dentist last year when I felt pain in my bottom front teeth, it turned out that I had a massive abcess in my jawbone. I woke up on a Sunday in extreme pain. I had only lived in Boise for a month and did not have a dentist. I called Blue Creek Endodontics with the hopes of getting in First thing Monday morning. Dr. James Eaton and his team are true professionals that care about their patients. They take the time to get to know you and make you feel at ease. Normally, I would prefer a poke in the eye with a sharp stick than get a root canal.
