Being new to trailering it took us awhile to figure out what had happened and by the time we pulled over both wheel wells were smoking and it was apparent we were facing some repairs before we attempted going over the Rockies. We disconnected the controller and limped in to the Front Range of Colorado. Finding Kirby's online we thought to give them a try. When we drove in to the shop yard we were greeted right away and after a consultation (with a detailed quote for our options) we decided to have our repairs made there. They moved another job aside and got us right in. Two hours later we were back on the road. The cost of the repairs were reasonable and there were no surprises. Robert, the owner, promised to have it ready in two weeks. That did not happen. In February, we finally picked it up. When we took it camping, not only did the furnace still not work, but the entire solar/lithium battery system did not work. We took it back to have the problems addressed in April. Robert quoted an amount of $5400 to revamp the system and to install two new awnings. After 18 unanswered phone calls and several visits to the shop, we were finally contacted and told it was ready. When we showed up to retrieve the camper, we were shocked to discover that the new invoice was for a total of over $13,000. None of this was ever presented for our approval. And just now we tried to roll out the awning, and it is broke. Unbelievably terrible experience.

As a beginner this was way better than 100 YouTube tutorials. After getting everything in place and prepping to weld I couldn't get the welder to do anything but spit hot lava everywhere. My buddy came over who is a little more experienced than me but he couldn't figure it out either. So I called the shop seeing if I could bring it in and have them do it there. To my surprise Kale answered the phone and offered to come to my place and tune my welder up! OMG that was amazingly nice because shortly after arriving he had my cheap harbor freight welder humming like a dream. So TLDR
