    My sweet 16 year old teeny chihuahua hurt herself last week. We took her to a 24/7 vet hospital two days ago and it was a terrible experience without adequate care for Gigi. I called Blue Cross first thing Monday morning and they were able to see us in the afternoon. The front desk ladies were so kind and empathetic. We got back in the room very soon after we arrived. The intake tech was also really great. Dr Whittaker was phenomenal. So caring, kind and empathetic. Taking time to talk with us and gather information about what we thought happened (tweaking her neck by jumping onto the couch out of our arms). He did an exam and agreed based on his professional assessment. He then took time to discuss all of the three medications they suggest and what he thought about each. He also let the ultimate decision be up to us to choose based on his explanation. I really appreciated that as well as not pushing a ton of expensive tests on us. Tonight she is a tad bit more mobile and ate out of a bowl as I held it tonight instead of the syringe we had to do it with when it first happened. We will be returning when needed for sure. Thank you so much for a pleasant experience!

    Absolutely love these people! The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The veterinarians are thorough, honest and informative. Dr. Vasquez has been amazing at knowing exactly what my little one needs and doesn't need. I've been bringing my dog here for ever and a few family pets also. My dog is a little pain and typically does not enjoy going but always leaves happy and well taken care of. They work around his biting and being a jerk so kindly since they have had so many years to get to know him. I trust this clinic and recommend them to anyone who really loves there pet.

    I wanted to try out a new place for my son and I read a lot about Blue Cross Pet Hospital and WOW! I could not be more impressed. I felt so safe and cared for. Doctor Roberta Raymond was absolutely amazing and so kind and just PHENOMENAL! I felt supported and loved. I will definitely come here again when needed, and not have to worry about a single thing! My son is in such great hands. And Michael Raymond was so incredibly kind as well! My son went to go get x-rays so I had to remove his harness and leash, and when returning him to me he would not hand him over until he had his harness and leash properly on! He held him and was gently calming him throughout the process since my baby gets so excited when he sees his harness and leash. Thank you so much Michael for your act of kindness for my boy! Thank you Doctors, Receptionists, and all those working for the hospital. I truly appreciate it!

The service and warmth that every member of the staff delivered was above every vet I've been to. Front desk was kind and straight forward. Even with the complications of traveling with my cat overseas I wasn't overwhelmed by paperwork. I was seen as soon as possible even though I was there possibly an hour early. Nothing but smiles out of the first person I met that inspected my little girl. She explained everything that was going to happen and was genuine when she asked "is that OK?". Even when you, yourself go to the Dr there isn't much debate when it comes to shots. They simply tell you what to do and suddenly you're getting jabs of something in your arm. This was completely different. They wanted to know if I was OK with what was about to happen and let me know every step of the way what they were doing. Absolutely love this. When you're over protective of your animal this makes a big deal mentally. I didn't think anything strange was going to happen and knew, thanks to them telling me, exactly what my girl was about to go through. This means a lot. In the end my poor kitten did have some gum issues. Dr. Chloe told me this directly and then expanded on what I can do about it. That's something hard to tell a pet guardian. I think my mouth dropped. None the less I needed to know and she somehow delivered it to me without me freaking out. It's the balance of "this is what's going on" and then "this is how you handle it". Can't thank her enough. It's a 10 of 10 when it comes to veterinarian hospitals. They are simply the best. Also without spoiling anything, your wait in the lobby might just make you double take. The moment I felt slightly bored I just went WOW. It's surprise, I won't spoil it for you. It's just another detail that makes taking your little (or big) animal to the vet a much nicer experience. They really are the best.

    I am unfortunately looking for a new vet after my recent experiences at VCA…read more Over my last two visits, I became increasingly concerned about the quality of care and the apparent lack of organization within the clinic. On multiple occasions, I received calls asking whether my dog was on flea and heartworm medication--even though those medications are prescribed and refilled directly through VCA. I was later told there had been confusion because the clinic was short-staffed and records had not been updated. As a pet owner, it was very concerning to hear that my dog's medical records were not being properly maintained. During my dog's first Lepto vaccine appt, the vet tech appeared very nervous and skipped basic assessment steps. She was unable to take his temperature and simply said, "Oh, you said he's been fine anyway," before moving on. That did not inspire confidence. Unfortunately, the second vaccine appt was not much better. When I requested to accompany my dog to the exam area, the same tech seemed irritated and stopped me from going back, saying she needed to find a room first. This was confusing, as I assumed a room would already be available if my dog was being taken back. The interaction felt rushed, dismissive and extremely uncomfortable. The appt itself lasted only a few moments. No wellness questions were asked, no discussion took place about how my dog had responded to the first vaccine, and the shot was administered immediately. The front desk experience was also frustrating. When I politely asked whether my dog's records had been updated, the staff seemed annoyed by the question. They also asked me to place my dog on the scale three separate times because no one was paying attention or recording his weight. I understand that veterinary clinics can be busy and short-staffed, and I truly try to be understanding. However, accurate medical records, basic communication, and thorough patient care are fundamental expectations. My dog means everything to me, and after these experiences, I no longer feel comfortable trusting his care to this clinic.

She actually takes the time to address your concerns and provides helpful information. She just seems like she cares rather than seeing you as some paying customer. I will have to add the reason for the one star dropped is because of the front desk staff. The two staff members were just not friendly almost came off rude. As soon as walked in, no hello, no friendly greeting, it was more of an attitude and tone of oh another person walking in vibe that I got and I was asked do you have an appointment. Just something they should be mindful of as they are the first individuals that clients/customers see and interact with. I get it if they are possibly having a rough day, but that's something that needs to be to the side because you're dealing customers.

My dog connected with her quick and I feel like he kind of chose up on me for her during the visit lol. I love this vet and so does my dog. Staff is always so kind and friendly to my and especially my dog. I'm convinced he loves when he's hurt or doesn't feel good, he hears VET and is excited to go and get loved on. Very clean and well kept atmosphere. Will continue to keep this my number one vet.

    We have been bringing our dogs here for about 10 years after our favorite doctor left our old vet…read moreoffice. We have always felt grateful for the staff and the extra mile by all of the doctors we've seen over the years. When our baby girl had to have ankle surgery and needed weekly bandage changes for about two months, she grew a fan club there so that all the techs (including ones I had never met) would come to greet her by name and get excited to see her and wrote cute little love notes on her bandages. Several years later she still has techs that get excited to come see her and say hi when she's on the schedule and it makes me so happy to know she is loved when she is there. The reason I am now writing a review is because they worked so hard to get my girl healthy again when I thought I was about to lose her forever with a new diabetes diagnosis and how seriously sick she got. They went out of their way to try and find the most reasonable priced hospital for us and when that wasn't possible, came up with a "hail mary" plan that got her the treatment she needed in a range we could afford. Again, I knew she was being loved on and in the best hands each day that I was scared having to leave her behind and so worried about when or if her condition was going to improve. Because of them, my princess is feeling much better and almost back to her spunky sassy self again and I will forever be grateful to them. Especially Dr. Herman, Dr. Julian, Regina, Courtney, and all the others up front and behind the scenes whose names I don't know but who I know care about my babies and work hard to keep them healthy.

Dr. Bindra helped me for months with comfort care meds and offered many consultations when I needed to check in or ask questions. Then the inevitable came. I've never put a pet down before and they made the experience as respectful, peaceful, and calm as it could possibly be. Dr. Bindra is so loving and kind towards animals and truly understands the bond humans have with their fur babies. I am forever grateful to him and the rest of the team. While I've only had two experiences with them so far, I have been impressed none the less. When you come to GRPH you get seen fairly quickly, and one thing I like is that they actually take time to check various things that VCM apparently can't be bothered to check. For example, breathing and heart rate. GRPH is more communicative about what they discover and what they propose. Also, they are quite honest when discussing dental issues and where you might need to go for more advanced dental analysis and care. The ONLY thing I don't like is that their exam rooms smell like old dirty mop water. I don't know if it's just the old building, or because they don't want to use any kind of bleach or sanitizer on the floors for animal safety. I just find that odor quite nauseating so I wish they could figure out how to get that one thing under control. If not for that, I would give 5 stars based on my recent visits.

Unfortunately, the quality of care he provides is overshadowed by an extremely rude and unprofessional front office staff. For about a month we left messages roughly once a week regarding scheduling our Golden Retriever for a spay procedure and never received a call back. Eventually we were told Dr. Khurmi had been on vacation, and suddenly we were able to schedule the surgery. It would have been helpful if that had been communicated earlier, but at that point we were simply happy to finally get the appointment. We chose the laparoscopic option because we had read it could be less traumatic and allow for an easier recovery. We were given a price range, and when we dropped our dog off we paid $1,783.94, which was the lower end of the estimate. When we picked her up, we were told we owed an additional $116.06. The amount itself was no big deal to us. We had already agreed to a cost range and were fully prepared to pay within that range. Out of simple curiosity, we asked what caused the final cost to land at the higher end. The vet tech immediately became defensive and spoke to us in a condescending tone in front of other clients, repeatedly stating that we had agreed to a range rather than simply explaining the difference. We never received a clear answer. While waiting, there were also other clients ahead of us who appeared surprised by additional charges at checkout, so it did not seem like an isolated situation. The discharge process was also rushed. The vet tech briefly went over the medication but did not clearly review the rest of the post-operative instructions before sending us home with a printed sheet. Nearly two weeks later the stitches are still clearly visible, so we called the office today to confirm whether they were dissolvable or needed to be removed. I had made a mental note that the instructions mentioned something about sutures being removed around 14 days, as we are approaching that timeframe and I wanted to get them taken out. When I explained that this had not been discussed with us, the staff member responded in a very abrasive tone, repeatedly insisting that we had been sent home with an instruction sheet rather than simply addressing the question. After requesting the clinical summary earlier to understand the final invoice, I reviewed it again and it actually states "sutures out in 14 days," which contradicts what we were told on the phone today. As a client and not a veterinarian, I should not have to interpret clinical notes to understand basic post-operative instructions. Clear and consistent guidance is important when you are caring for a pet recovering from surgery. I have since emailed the clinic asking for clarification and am still waiting for confirmation on whether the sutures are dissolvable or need to be removed. Based on our experience, the front office staff and vet techs could benefit from additional training in client communication and customer service. Pet owners should feel comfortable asking questions without being spoken to in a defensive or dismissive tone. After reviewing other client feedback and the responses from this business, there appears to be a pattern of defensiveness rather than accountability. Hopefully this situation will be handled differently, but based on those responses I would not be surprised if the reply focuses on defending the clinic rather than addressing the concerns raised. When you trust someone with your pet's surgery, professionalism and clear communication should be the standard, not something clients have to fight for.

They didn't force me to pay for anything that I wasn't able to pay for and didn't make me feel bad for saying no to a blood test, which I really appreciate! Brought him in, and it only took the veterinarian about two minutes toDiagnose congestive heart failure. Sadness. The options were treatment that would maybe prolong his life for six months, or put him down so he would not suffer any longer. Prognosis was he would not survive even with treatment. For the first time in my entire life, I had to decide to let a pet go. Every other pet I've ever had, died of natural causes without ever having shown symptoms. The decision was more difficult than I anticipated. Foothill Farms gave me all the time I needed to come to terms with the decision, and even let me sit in a private room for as long as I needed to say goodbye to my putty tat. They made a difficult decision much easier to make and much easier to handle. I'll miss my putty tat, but because of their caring, compassion and concern I know it was the right decision to make, even though it still hurt. Thank you very much foothill Farms veterinary.
