I had my toilet repaired a month ago . The plumber flooded my bathroom, didn't use my coupon, and used my flapper kit I purchased from Lowes. Why? Because he didn't bring the flapper kit with him. This was the reason he came to my home. Within two weeks ,the toilet became to have the same issues. I paid $259 for nothing , except washing my towels from the flooded bathroom. The gentleman was a little gruff but that may be him and doesn't go towards the company. He did go above and beyond what I asked for. RotoRooter came to the property to assess a clogged main drain line. I paid $259 for the diagnosis, and they proposed a $2800 repair to replace what they said was 5' - 6' of cracked drain pipe and a clean out. I sought a second opinion, and that second plumbing company completed a video inspection that showed that neither the drain pipe nor the clean out were broken. I informed RotoRooter of this and stated my position that the problem was mis-diagnosed and that I should be refunded the $259. They disagreed and declined the refund. I received an unpleasant and argumentative email from the franchise owner after contacting RotoRooter corporate for support. read more

Hired Roto-Rooter to unclog our underground downspout. Charged us $650 for the first hour and $350 for the second hour. 30 minutes of that was spent filling up their water tank with our water. We were told we had a 14 day guarantee. It rained 2 days later and the downspout was still clogged. They did come right back out. It rained again 8 days later. Still clogged. We were told the 14 day guarantee was only for one additional visit and if we wanted them to come back out it would be $300 an hour. Who spends $300 an hour with a company that doesn't stand behind their work??? Colossal waste of $837. read more

Great top notch service, Sean came out on time the same day of my call, detected the leak right away...even took pictures since you won't find me crawling under the house! We were having trouble with one of our toilets - it wasn't flushing. the water would eventually go down, but too slowly to take any solid matter with it. It was a Saturday morning & we have another toilet so we set an appointment for Monday morning. They, of course, gave us a window of between 9 & 11am. We called at 11:30 & they said that a crew was on their way. They arrived a little after noon. It was raining & when they came in they didn't bother to even wipe their shoes off. I figured that they were going to make a mess anyway so I let it go. Well, they couldn't get their scope through to see what the problem was, so they used their big snake - also with no success - except that they DID make a mess. Three hours later they had another "technician" show up & told us that they would have to dig under the slab to fix the broken pipes - $4235. We told them we would have to shop for other prices. We still had a toilet that DID work. The toilet that did work didn't work for long & we called to let them know to come & do the work - on both toilets. The response was that they would be here Monday between 9 & 11 am. Monday afternoon we got a call that they MIGHT be able to be here Tuesday, but most likely Wednesday morning. My response was,"What happened to today?". I'm pretty sure that between then & the time they actually showed up I heard every excuse in the book; from "who told you that" to "our boss was having a baby". So they showed up Monday at about 11am With a couple of guys in an unmarked pick-up but none of them even knew that both toilets were non-functional. More excuses & they informed me that the whole job will have to be re-negotiated. They would have to get back in touch. I told them to leave. We called another plumbing & drain service who cleared the whole system in a couple of hours for $150. They saved us AT LEAST $4000. The people from Roto-Rooter were nice enough, but totally incompetent. My advice would be DO NOT CALL ROTO-ROOTER FOR ANYTHING! I only give them 1 star because 0 stars is not an option... read more

After calling a couple of plumbing companies and being on a wait list for both, I called Roto-Rooter and they said they could probably get to me within a couple of hours. This was after the freeze and many people had busted pipes. They came out in about 2 hrs, which was around 8 pm. Greg found the problem and fixed it in 30 minutes. The service was very professional and the price was what I expected. I would definitely recommend them and would call them in the future. read more

Gave me an estimate for $3200 plus the $229 service call to reinstall 41' of Sewer line between my two clean outs that were cracked. I called two plumbers this morning and had an estimate for $899 using the recommended schedule 40 pipe.
