I was never contacted about the damage and the exhaust was never fixed until I was back and they gave me the car back with damages never being fixed. Sent the car back to get the grill fixed and so the bumper would stay on properly and headlights would mount. Called frequently and got ignored or told "we don't have time". They installed a new Dodge Demon Crate motor and drivetrain in a brand new 2019 4 door Rubicon along with custom suspension, wheels and much more. When I took delivery of the Jeep it was just a few days before the fuel gauge stopped working and other warning lights started to flash on the dash, and the cruise control did not work. Shortly after the Jeep would not start at all. Dakota shipped it back to their shop after weeks of waiting for them to get a shipper and I did not get it back for about 5 months. When it eventually arrived, I drove it less than 150 miles and it started to overheat. It spent the next 6 months in my garage while D.C. very slowly sent me parts to try that did not work. They eventually agreed to have it shipped it back again which took almost two months for them to find a shipper, where they had it for another 4 plus months before shipping it back to me again. D.C. told me it was all fixed with their "latest updated technology"!! I drove it less than 50 miles and the engine started to stop running altogether while accelerating. I was forced to sell the Jeep at auction with only 2500 miles, as it was "SO" unreliable. Dakota Customs follow up communication was horrible. They do not have their technology correct, and I feel they used me to learn by their mistakes. They lack testing of their products. There are other companies offering 3-year warranties on their conversions than Dakota Customs 12 months. I requested a copy of their warranty and they didn't even have one in writing. This was by far the worst 2 plus years of car experience I have EVER been through. If you do not live close to Dakota Customs, I do not recommend having them do an engine conversion. If you need it fixed under warranty don't expect it to be quick, a good experience or reliably work. Great deal for a $70k engine swap in an over $150K dream Jeep build that I could not drive or trust to work on any trail.

He even offered to drive me home, after I drop the car off, since I didn't have another car. I made the appointment for 1 the next day and was able to get a family friend to pick me up and take me back. The car was finished early, and workmanship is outstanding. It is exactly what I was looking for. On top of that, Chris was friendly, outgoing and a pleasure to deal with, something we don't seem to find in business anymore. It was late Friday afternoon in Deadwood and my car would not start. I opened the hood to check…read morethe battery connections. The connections were secure but I discovered that in addition to the electric fault the water pump was leaking. I called South Side Service and explained my predicament. Pat told me that if I could get the car to him he would look at it. I was able to push start the car and drive to his shop. Pat called around to locate a water pump and starter without success. There were no parts available. Not even in Rapid City. We drove the car up onto the hoist and Pat agreed to look at it Saturday. Pat called me Saturday morning and stated that he got the starter working by striking with a hammer to free the brushes. Not a permanent 'fix', but it started the car. Bravo! He was able to stop the water pump leak with a bottle of radiator stop leak. Another temporary 'fix' but good enough for me to try returning to Minneapolis. I stopped at the Chevy dealer in Rapid City to inquire about parts availability. The dealer also stated that there were no parts in the entire region.
